They were quick to respond via email. **What do you dislike about Resi?** The hardware and software integration that was promised by the sales department was not possible. We did not find this out until we had paid for their hardware as well as a yearly fee. Each time we called for tech support they suggested purchasing new hardware. After several additional purchases doubling our budgeted expenditure, we could not implement the Resi streaming platform. Their suggestion was to buy an entirely new system. At that point we asked for a refund as we had never been able to utilize their hardware or streaming services. We began working with them in January of 2023; it is now July. We have not received our refund, although we have returned all of their hardware. Resi states that they have been transitioning their billing platform and our refund is their priority. As a company that claims to be run by people of faith this experience feels like we have been cheated many times over. I highly recommend finding another streaming platform and do not trust Resi or their leadership. **What problems is Resi solving and how is that benefiting you?** None. This saves us from having to go into each platform to create events in each one. **What do you dislike about Resi?** Really the only dislike is how the streaming for a repeating event cannot be changed without changing the rest of the schedules after. I would like it if it were like a calendar style where the individual event could be removed for a single day without affecting the remainder of the events. Having the ability to individually delete a recurring event would be a big benefit on our end for the occasional change of our live event timing. The remainder of them could stay set up with the correct times, but the individual event could be changed, so that you would not have to try to remember what was scheduled prior to the changes. **What problems is Resi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Resi allows us to have one place to set up our live streaming events and automatically start the encoding. So no one has to think about where to go to set them up and to start it each day. This allows us to save time by not having to go to each social media platform for set up. Additionally, the video footage is archived for us to download later if we need to. The setup also lets us not have to go into each platform to individually set up on the social media platforms. We just have to make sure our cameras are set up and it will send out each day. ### 3. Even during the streaming boom of COVID shutdowns, we never experienced any downtime with Resi and the company innovated and added new features during that time as well. **What do you dislike about Resi?** The only downside to Resi is the inability to create your own encoder profiles and having to contact customer support for a few things that would nice to be able to control myself. **Recommendations to others considering Resi:** We love Resi and highly recommend it to other churches considering an easy multi site solution. **What problems is Resi solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're a multi-site church with video venues that need to be time aligned as closely as possible. Resi allows us to stream from our broadcast campus to all of our video campuses in a very reliable and user-friendly way. ### 5. It just works and works well. **What do you dislike about Resi?** It can get rather expensive when you add up multiple campuses etc. **What problems is Resi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Campus to Campus linking used to be very stressful with a live point-to-point system. With Resi's ability to be 'fairly close to live' and all the reliability that comes with that, the stress is taken out of service timings and delivery. Users at the receiving end have peace of mind knowing how the internet connection is, how much content is safely buffered to the local unit. These things mean those users aren't coming back to the central team with unnecessary concerns. ### 6. Resi is a dependable streaming platform. Still, while their platforms are more intuitive and less expensive, neither Subsplash nor Facebook could not guarantee the stream would continue regardless of internet speed. **What problems is Resi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Resi includes a longer buffering time than other streaming options, which gives room in the video for possible internet connectivity issues to be resolved without the video ending for the online audience. The added buffering time has solved 100% of the live stream issues that created significant problems for our online worship services. One major benefit we have found is that Resi can push the live stream video to various places that our audience can watch from, including Facebook, YouTube, and an embeddable code for our website and app. ### 7. After the onboard training session, it seemed too good to be true. No way could it be this simple. But really it is! If you have a recurring schedule, it is as simple as providing a video input, create a scheduling profile, and walk away. Availability of tech support. AMAZING! **What do you dislike about Resi?** The encoder defaults to SDI input. Have to contact tech support to have then enable the HDMI input. No biggie since tech support is readily available. Then there is the two minute delay. It takes a bit to get used to. But if this ensures a successful stream, then we are more than happy to make the neccessary adjustments on the production end. But it does require an awareness if your precise start times are critical. **What problems is Resi solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were using an unnamed software encoder to live stream worship services. It seemed each week we were experiencing a configuration challenge. With Resi, no more. We have the confidence to walk in and know that we won't have any streaming challenges. ### 8. Resi makes it easy for our online viewers to continue to stay engaged during our service and don't have any reason to become disengaged from the services we're producing.' Furthermore, the analytics that we have access to on the Resi platform have been wonderful in order to understand our core audience better and begin to recognize trends from our viewers, as well! **What do you dislike about Resi?** The only thing that I disliked initially about Resi was that it was a little difficult to set up, because our camera switcher, a Tricaster Mini 4k, outputted a different color space than what Resi requires. Thus, it took some ingenuity and creative problem solving to change the color space of our content. This would not have been as difficult, had I known beforehand about the specific color space, along with the resolution, needed for the video to come through the Resi platform. **Recommendations to others considering Resi:** As soon as you begin streaming with Resi, you will have no regrets about the decision you've made! **What problems is Resi solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem we are solving with Resi has been the consistent quality. Using other streaming platforms has yielded mediocre results, but Resi is the first one to stream the content as close to what we are sending to it. We have been amazed by how simple the workflow is to set up and run! ### 9. Our livestream was glitching in and out the Sunday before Easter so we decided to not risk anything and purchase a Resi encoder. Since then, it has been smooth sailing. We have not had a single complaint since the switch and our stream looks the best it has ever looked. Resi made it super simple with the online videos and virtual class to help get you started. After using the new encoder for the past 4 months I highly recommend Resi. We have been using Resi close to their launch as Living As One. The amount of progress they have achieved as an organization is unparalleled. The user interface is updated regularly with features and also improves what was thought to be an already flawless system. Absolutely love the time saved when we switched to Resi. We have not had any issues with them since we made the switch. Extremely easy for volunteers and staff to use and quick to train on. **What do you dislike about Resi?** I have no complaints about Resi. I am not a patient person naturally, so waiting for features is rough, but nothing negative on their end. They recently opened up support to include 24/7 assistance which was a huge win in my eyes as we test new ideas for the stream at hours other than the traditional 9-5 time slot. **Recommendations to others considering Resi:** If Resi is within your budget, switching to their platform for streaming online or end to end to another location(s) is a question already answered--do it! **What problems is Resi solving and how is that benefiting you?** No more alarms to remember when pushing live events. We can schedule events minutes or years before going live--truly a set it and forget it! Easier onboarding of new volunteers and seamless integration with current staff and hardware at all of our campuses. A major win for us since switching--where we are located, we are prone to several power outages and internet issues. With Resi, when our internet dips out or power flickers the stream stays on and people watching online have no idea. This is all assuming you also have your equipment on a backup system of some sort. ### 11. Resi is a great tool because of its dependability and ease of use. My team is made up of people who haven't touched a computer until they were 22. So the learning curve is huge. With Resi, I was able to program the streams and just tell them to have everything ready at 11:58 and the stream will handle itself. Resi is a great tool and a great investment for any church with a strong online presence. And its ease of use is great. Customer support is great. They have helped me on Sundays with issues that have arisen. And their customer service people are very professional and understanding. **What do you dislike about Resi?** I don't have anything bad to say about Resi. The issue that I've had with Resi that were on their end has happened only once. And their response from their Customer Service was very Professional and the issue was fixed very quickly. I love that they are available on Sundays for support and the wait time is little to none. **Recommendations to others considering Resi:** Very great and if your budget allows it, go for it and use Resi. **What problems is Resi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Live streaming. The web portal for scheduling events and managing encoders is super simple, and gives easy access to connecting to social media accounts, etc as well. The LAN mode of encoders/decoders in the same network is also a great feature. We use that to have access to the stream quickly in-building, or at our second campus, which is connected via fiber. We also love the resilient streaming -- we did have one time where our internet blipped for a minute...but because of the resilience of the Resi platform, there was no interruption to our stream. **What do you dislike about Resi?** We do stream quite a few different ministries (in other venues), so we have needed to go with other streaming solutions for those rooms because of what it would cost to add encoders for 4 other rooms, used by multiple ministries with multiple destinations. As a rookie learning the ropes of live-streaming during the pandemic, I was able to navigate the UI with relative ease because of all the thought that has gone into the design. We have also been blown alway by the reliability. Since we started with Resi we have only had one weekend with livestream issues (due to our internet) and the Resi concept allowed our services to pick up right where drops happened and we were still able to use the Sim-Live feature the next day when we were continuing to have internet issues. **What do you dislike about Resi?** The price point is high for the Ray Encoder but you get what you pay for! **Recommendations to others considering Resi:** It really has been a game changer for us. BUT, then covid-19 hit and we needed to go to the web also and not just our campuses...we added the social streaming package and again...IT JUST WORKED!!! **What do you dislike about Resi?** That I didn't start using them initially and wasted a year with another product fighting with it every week to get it to work...RESI WORKS!!! and if there is an issue they let you know and have GREAT customer support! **Recommendations to others considering Resi:** You will not regret it. The cloud services allow us to delay live events and playback at various times. The built in buffering allows end users to rewind and fast forward with little to zero delay in both live or archived events. The ability to stream to different platforms at different times is simplistic and playback is seamless. We've used it weekly for over 2 years and have been able to consistently rely on the platform to deliver video. Resi also has the best and most responsive support team of any company I have ever worked with. I could not be more pleased with the service offering and cannot recommend Resi enough. They are honestly the ideal company to work with in the multi-site and straight-to-web durable video streaming space and their products and support should set the bar for other industries as well! **What do you dislike about Resi?** I honestly can't think of a single downside or anything I dislike about Resi. Resi understands their customer at a level that very few companies do, and their products and support put them in the truly exceptional category. I am an associate pastor, and I want to work with our people and not spend a lot of time with equipment. I can schedule the online streaming times, etc. on Resi and I know that they'll work. I also appreciate the personal service and training that Resi provides. None of us had any experience doing live-streaming. Resi had the set-up knowledge to show us how to get the quality online streaming that we were looking for. **What do you dislike about Resi?** I don't know that I dislike any it. You still have to do your planning. **What problems is Resi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our BIG problem was how our church can worship in the middle of this covid-19 pandemic. We can't meet in person. We are a smaller church and had no ability to stream online. So we invested in cameras and upgraded sound equipment. The online streaming part was totally foreign to me. It’s so simple to just schedule the services and the encoder automatically runs without any additional programming. We love how easy it is to stream each week, and it is resilient, where other solutions didn't't cut it for our needs. **What do you dislike about Resi?** Every once in a while, as in any production environment, there are small issues. For instance, when clicking end on the Resi Control stream page, it doesn't actually end on Facebook. This has only happened about 4 times in 6 months, so it's not anything worth really complaining about. 95% of the time, it works exactly like it should. **What problems is Resi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously, we had issued with buffering and our stream was very unstable. We upgraded internet, tried multiple streaming devices and services, but always had issues. With Resi, we get a high quality stream and very stable product each week. ### 23. Our church is in an area where our internet connection can be a bit spotty. Despite having internet issues occur, even during a live stream, we’ve never had our live stream drop signal. I use a lot of technical products and almost all of them have either a steep learning curve or a lot of issues that constantly need resolved. Not with Resi. It’s one product I’ve never had an issue with. **What do you dislike about Resi?** None. There are tons of great products and solutions, but Resi is something else entirely. It's a product and service all bundled in one. Resi has supported during the most critical times and they always respond so quickly. When you are streaming and something goes wrong, you need help in seconds. Resi is a company that can meet that need. **What do you dislike about Resi?** Nothing at all!
