ResearchGate is a professional network for scientists and researchers. It started when two researchers discovered first-hand that collaborating with a friend or colleague on the other side of the world was no easy task.

I can reach out to most academic peers using ResearchGate.

**What do you dislike about ResearchGate?**

When I get a message from ResearchGate in the email, I have to go to ResearchGate to reply rather than reply it directly in email.

**Recommendations to others considering ResearchGate:**

Please add a function to reply directly in email

**What problems is ResearchGate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asking for papers from academic peers and communicating with colleagues
Build relationships with people around the world

**What do you like best about ResearchGate?**

starts of as free.  allows connecting with collaborators. sharing of publications with opportunity to ask questions to the researchers. the ability to narrow down to certain interest.

**What do you dislike about ResearchGate?**

info is not always up to date as far as the people  too many emails. there are a lot of college students,  not so many researchers. there are a small amount of papers available for free. forcing you to pay at some point.

**What problems is ResearchGate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

being able to get different point of views fro other colleagues.i need to  keep my information up to date. noticed duplicates of the same papers are their main focus, allowing a person to think the quality if better than what it is.
