Sometimes it feels like we take two steps forward and one step back. It will make an improvement but in the process sometimes it messes up progress that we had made previously. I can’t say for sure, maybe it’s just bugs that happen with constant updates. It hasn’t been incredibly smooth. It’s taken a long time of building out the app. To be honest I’m still working on it. I love that Replit allowed me, with no programming experience, to create and deploy a tool that was 10 times better than what professional developers did, and I achieved it for a significantly lower cost. I appreciate that Replit made the setup very easy, which was one of my favorite features. The platform gives me much more control over my software needs, allowing me to dictate and create what I need without waiting on others. It's faster, offers more control, and comes at a lower cost. Replit handles everything necessary for development, such as setting up servers, databases, planning features, doing the programming, handling design, versioning, and publication. I enjoy having real-time access to the equivalent of a very fast developer 24/7, at a cost far less than a regular developer who is only available part of the time. I find the ability to continually plan and develop new features invaluable. Integrating Replit with Google Workspace, GoHighLevel.com, ZOHO Sign, and my own proprietary database has been seamless. cannot handle complex tasks well, uses up tokens "correcting its own mistakes" this leads to inconsistency and ends up generating buggy code. could have been cheaper and if we dont keep tab on usage, the pricing goes crazy. I have been using Replit for the past 4 months primarily for web client-server application development, and I've found it to be significantly better than Bolt.New and VS Code + Claude Code for small app development due to its nicer UI. Setting up Replit was straightforward, which made the transition seamless and without challenges. One of the standout features is the increasing speed of development and the ability to shorten the time needed for prototyping. Specifically, while using Replit, I've been able to develop a fully-fledged working prototype in two days, which contrasts sharply with the two weeks it usually takes with the standard SDLC. The setup includes features like Agent V3 and chat mode for development, as well as the capacity to connect to external SQL servers and GitHub, which I find particularly useful. Replit's ability to transfer and create code from natural language prompting also contributes majorly to this efficiency.
