Real-time collaboration, making it easy to work with teammates. For me, the most valuable feature is the ability to go from an idea to a working prototype in minutes. Replit removes much of the setup overhead associated with development, making it an excellent platform for rapid prototyping, learning, experimenting with new technologies, and collaborating on projects. As projects grow in complexity, I find myself moving to a local IDE where I have more control over tooling, performance, and debugging. What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you? Replit solves the problem of setting up and maintaining local development environments. Instead of spending time installing dependencies, configuring IDEs, or resolving environment issues, I can start coding directly in the browser with everything ready to use. Eliminates environment setup and configuration time. Enables rapid prototyping and experimentation with new ideas. Makes it easy to share projects and collaborate in real time. Supports multiple programming languages without additional setup. Allows quick deployment and testing of applications from a single platform. In my day-to-day work, I use Replit to build proof-of-concept applications, test code snippets, experiment with APIs, and quickly validate ideas. It helps me move from concept to a working prototype much faster than setting up a local project. The biggest benefit is productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Replit? If the subscription for the collaborative workspace plan ends, the shared workspace is removed for the remaining members. At that point, they have to pay the subscription fee and rejoin the project to regain access. In practice, the workspace disappears for everyone else and stays visible only to the creator of the workspace or project. As a result, we still need to pay the subscription fee just to rejoin the project so that someone who was previously part of it can continue working, even if they only want to finish the project individually and no longer need active team collaboration. Within a week, I was able to build out my idea and present it to companies and business incubators without having to worry about UI/UX. In addition to Replit being free to use, and many other code editors and full IDEs are available, one of the most impressive aspects of Replit is its cloud‑based design. Because everything runs in the browser, your projects are accessible anywhere you have an internet connection. It also supports a wide range of programming languages, which is especially valuable for Introduction to Programming students—allowing them to experiment, compare syntax, and understand how core concepts translate across multiple languages. What I dislike most is the lack of transparent, predictable pricing - especially around compute usage and background agents. I've been able to turn flat PDF premiums into interactive online apps in minutes leveraging my content with Claude.ai and Replit.
