ProPresenter makes our Sunday Morning church services flow seamlessly with all the media that we add into the services. It amply provides for our lyric/video display needs. When leading worship, having. trusted software to help worship services run smoothly and also create a seamless, undistracting aspect to worship is a valuable piece to incorporate into worship. ProPresenter is your one-stop resource for all of your church presentation needs. We use it for projecting the lyrics for our congregational worship (hymns & worship songs). We utilize a library of background motions that easily "drop" behind the lyrics and help create a more visually interesting and consistent thematic aspect to our services. As the pastor, I no longer use Keynote or Powerpoint to build my sermon presentations. I prepare my sermon presentations directly in ProPresenter. I love the formatting options they offer as well as how easy it is to use or create slide backgrounds for my messages in ProPresenter. They have all of the major English Bible versions for download purchases directly into the app and you can format how you want your Bible text to display in a lot of different templates. Very cool and easy to use. You also have the ability to create and save your own Templates and then you can easily switch the layout of your songs by switching to a different template (for instance, you can have all of your lyrics be centered for a song or you could change and use a template where all of your lyrics are formatted to the lower third of the screen). The Templates feature lets you make major changes to an entire "document" with just a few clicks. Super easy to add video clips, video soundtracks, or your own ministry videos right into your service timeline to use in the service. You can also audio tracks or sound effects and cue them to specific slides in a presentation or as their own separate item in the playlist. I personally LOVE the way you can create a Presentation Timeline - this allows you to automate the playback of your slides. We use this to create lyric presentations to accompany and play in time with audio soundtracks. It's like making your own lyric videos. Very cool and super helpful (at least for us). We also use the Timer feature to schedule and automatically start our countdown video prior to the start of each service. Our church does not use Planning Center Online but I know that ProPresenter has great integration with that software as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The thing I dislike the most is that we do encounter periodic issues where our computer and the software seem to lose track of what image(s) are supposed to be going to which screen. This is usually solved by going into the Preferences settings of ProPresenter and adjusting the displays or going into our iMac and tweaking the display settings. Sometimes it requires a restart of the computer and/or projector to get everything back in sync. We operate ProPresenter and send a primary output to our main screen for the congregation, a confidence monitor on the back wall (showing the primary output screen), and then we have two Stage Display monitors on the platform as well as one Stage Display in our media booth for them to see and verify what the worship team or pastor on stage is seeing. We also send a main output screen to a monitor at our Welcome Center and in our church nursery. Our p.a. board, live video camera feed, our live-stream feed, and all of the different ProPresenter output screens are all being processed and handled through our 2017 iMac computer. So, I'm not totally surprised when it glitches out a little bit from time to time, but once we get the output signals resolved, it has always worked flawlessly for us in our services. ProPresenter enables us to combine multiple forms of media and keep it in the desired order for later (ie setting up worship and sermon slides with bumper vids or video illustrations) so that the projectionist can simply click through without switching screens, windows, or devices. There's a quick blackout mode and a bring to front override that are helpful for keeping mistakes to a minimum. You can also schedule black screens between elements to keep button happy people from over-advancing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Training on how to use this well can be a bear. There are many features that, while helpful for customization, also create myriad possibilities for mishaps in the setup. For example, the videos inserted are default to loop and have an easy toggle button. One of our most frequent mistakes in presentations is that the video begins playing again immediately upon completion and the presenter gets interrupted when they try to move on. There are ways around these situations, but they took a lot of lived experience to anticipate from the set-up side of things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ability to easily create performance enhancement tools for church and related performance needs. It us very intuitive and user friendly. Dealing with volunteers requires ease of use. This tool accomplishes that need perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

-Can create playlists of different presentations to quickly move from one presentation to the next.

-If you find you put a slide in your show out of order--no problem! You can easily see all the slides from your presenter view and just click on the one you want to fire. There's no need to click the forward or backward arrows several times to find what you need.

-Built-in Bible to quickly import texts into presentations.

-iOS app available to control the presentation from iPad.

-Apply the format of one slide to all slides in a presentation.

-I wish there were a way to apply the formatting of one slide to only some of the slides in a presentation.

The layout and flexibility of the program are key features. The ability to make slides with master arrangements helps me to easily create new arrangements of songs without the mess of many different files for one song. While the program is very effecient, it would be helpful if the layout was a little less hard to figure out. Pertaining specifically to the complexity of the program it would be helpful to make the icons a little bigger and therefore a little more prominent and easier to navigate. I love that propresenter and planning center now communicate - meaning our whole service plan can be quickly transferred to propresenter. Also, the integration of song select is also a huge bonus! Basically our whole service runs through this program! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
