It's very simple to use and adapt to from previous software. There is a lot of information available to make the transition as smooth as possible and plenty of support for it being taught at high education institutions. It can take a while to learn how to create and adapt the different techniques to create a range of looks, it is very easy to achieve cartoony aesthetic, but quite a bit more complex to create photorealism.
