What do you like best about Renaissance Star Assessments?

I like that the Star Assessments adapt to the student as they are answering questions. Afterward there are different reports you can look at. It will also tell you the grade level where students should practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Renaissance Star Assessments?

Something I dislike is that when you don't pause the test correctly, students will have to begin the test from the beginning, which can be discouraging for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool for assessing students' reading needs and growth!"
5/5
What do you like best about Renaissance Star Assessments?

The Renaissance STAR Assessments are crucial to my ability to not only see students' reading needs as a whole class, but it is also crucial for seeing what individual students' needs are. A STAR Assessment helps me identify critical areas where a child may be struggling and how to best meet their needs in order to see growth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Renaissance Star Assessments?

The program is easy to use and full of data. My only dislike is that I would like for there to be a way for students to log in and see their data and see their growth. I can show them the reports, but my students are mature enough that they want to know if they exceeded the last benchmark and have grown. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Data Reports"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Renaissance Star Assessments?

I have experience with Star, Anet, and our curriculum's testing platforms. I like that Star is computer adaptive, questions adjust to each answer child's ability level. Teachers can grab data on most students. I also like the ease of accessing and interpreting student data. There are a variety of reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Renaissance Star Assessments?

Star isn't so good for students who have a scaled score above 1400. That affects a good number of our higher lrveled readers in the middle school and high school. As a result, it's hard to get reliable data on those students. Also, I wish there was better data report option for parents. The one provided isn't very helpful to parents who typically don't have an education background. The report doesn't really give a clearer understanding of how it is a student can improve his/her reading level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
