## Remote Recruit Reviews
  ### 1. Easiest way to hire someone across the world

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anand C. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

Easy and transparent built-in calculator which tells you how much an employee will cost the company, how much you have to pay Remote, and the breakdown for each cost, for example social security or benefits.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

The process for sponsoring someone's visa (if they don't have a work permit in the country they want to live in and work from) is pretty straightforward and I 100% recommend it, the only downside is that it's not fully integrated in the web app, but rather you have to communicate with the attorneys on email manually.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a fully remote company and aim to hire employees around the world. This way, we get the best talent available anywhere and aren't restricted to any geography. Remote makes this easy and fair for employees who get to be full-time employees rather than simply contractors.

  ### 2. Great support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

Fast support and good communication with the Remote. Whenever I had a problem, I got answers quickly, and they took my cases in an urgent manner.
I also like the dashboard, which is user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

I think that payslips could be translated into the native language of the user. I'm not sure if it's not already available, but it was never offered to me. I had some issues understanding what was listed on the payslip.
I also didn't know that my health insurance is extra charged from my payment.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using Remote as an employee, not an employer, but I see the benefit of using it if I would start a new global company.
It makes it easy to hire people from other geos, which is really great for a business like the one I work in.

  ### 3. Great service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

The platform is very intuitive; it is easy to use and has everything you need from an HR perspective. Also, whenever I needed help, it was easy to talk to someone - their customer success team is very resourceful and friendy.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

Nothing that I dislike, really. In the beginning, I was skeptical about being hired by a third-party and not the actual company that I was working for but I never had any problems, everything works out great!

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote is helping companies hire talent from across the world. On one side, companies get access to people they would not typically (except by having a legal entity in multiple countries). Conversely, people looking for a job get access to a broader list of companies. Legal borders stop blocking people and companies from finding their perfect match.

Their platform is user-friendly and intuitive. They also give special discounts for annual subscriptions, to nonprofits and companies that hire refugees. Not all competing companies offer this.

They lack a presence is certain countries at the moment like Ethiopia. More and more employers are looking to hire in Africa and they should focus on expansion here.

-the starting process with remote's representative was quite tedious. Even though we stated what was needed to achieve local employment. I was sent the wrong contracts with incorrect information. **What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

Remote has the friendliest team, just super enthusiastic and helpful. I'm a big fan of them as a company, with how they treat their employees and their commitment to global remote working. They make global compliance feel really progressive.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

I don't think there is a downside really. Sometimes there's a bit of a "too many cooks in the kitchen vibe" but I think that's more about comms with employees around when to come to us and when to go to Remote for support than it is about the platform itself.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote plays a key role in employee happiness by allowing people to work all over the world. They help us retain key employees when they move out of country, while supporting our ability to scale our business globally.

  ### 26. This is my first job so I really don't know what to expect. Remote has been good though!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

I like that my contract is there for me to see. It's a very clean UI so it's pretty easy to use. I have to say, I don't use remote too much because I don't know what other features are useful for me to use.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

I wish there was more listed out like how much PTO I have and what holidays I get off. It's hard to find some of this information. Also, more description with expenses.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like how its a single use platform for all my payment functions in terms of payroll. I wouldnt say it makes me more productive, but it makes me less anxious knowing the information is in one place.

  ### 27. Really professional services

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

The thanksben integration for benefits. Login didn't work, took me several back and forths with their support to get access to my benefits

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EOR across several countries

  ### 30. Smooth process in onboarding and day-to-day troubleshooting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

Very fast assistance through the chat module and help through email. The webportal is very easy to use and designed in a simple way which requires no learning period for users.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

There are some small issues with my account information behind the screens which Remote has not been able to resolve. For example, I'm still receiving correspondence on an outdated email address and support is unable to transfer this to my current email address.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote allows me to work 100% remotely for a company in the US which I otherwise never would have been able to do! Reimburement is also very straightforward - more than with local employers in the past.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron S. | Co-Founder / Co-Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

Remote is unbelievably easy-to-use. It's very simple to set-up, and almost seems to be too-good-to-be-true in terms of what an effective service it is. In addition we have been super impressed with the customer support when we've had questions - customer support has been very fast, effective, and efficient in replying.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

Honestly, there hasn't been anything that we've disliked. We feel like there has been full transparency on costs, limitations along the way.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote is helping us grow and scale our business by making it easy for us to hire workers in geographies where we don't have a physical / legal presence. It has been a true "blessing" to have their help in building our team!

  ### 33. Onboarding Remote

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

One platform concentrates that aggregates multiple services is beneficial.
I can in one place access my documents, check my details, request some time off, manage my expenses

The onboarding was very Professional.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

I can't say much about what I dislike. I realize that we can't have a direct contract with the company that we work for, and for some people, it can be a downside.
Also, some issues would be more easily solved with a voice call.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It simplifies our life for most of the day-to-day activities we need with HR.
dealing with documentation, time off, special requests, Payslips it a lot easier using remote.

  ### 34. Ease and efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

Despite being all 100% remote, all team is very attentive and careful with the employeer; there is no bureaucracy. Everything is transparent, always that need help, the support team is ready, very kind and fast. There is no complain about subjects like that.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

An option to talk face to face (using video call for example) to deal with more complex and delicate matters. In the beginning of my contract, I had dificullt to talk about brazilian health insurance rules

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The possibility of working for a foreign company living in my native country, and using all benefits from here. Another point is the facility to receive my salary in my national bank account

  ### 35. Amazing platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

My experience with Remote has been great. The platform works well and I can't talk about the support. Any time I had any questions, the support is amazing and all the people I contacted always were very understanding and supportive of my questions. Payment is always on time!

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

On onboarding, at least for my country, there was a Google Form to fill about payroll. Since this is easy to miss, it happened, my payroll was wrong. But after talking with support, the next month it was fixed. The platform works badly on mobile, you can only use on a computer.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Remote I have the same benefits as other workers have working in my country and without any legal hassle to do as taxes are automatic. This kind of security is awesome because you don't feel worried. For example, I wouldn't be able to ask for a house loan, without a real contract with an entity in my country.

  ### 36. [edited] It has improved after onboarding, it can improve the software platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

Disclaimer: I am just a regular employee, I don't run the company, and as such, this is my perception. Views are my own and don't represent my employer's

There is not much I like at the moment. My onboarding manager was nice, but she disappeared with lots of questions remaining unanswered.

UPDATE August 22:
- I never heard back from my manager and the questions I asked. The platform is very poor, but to be honest, I didn't need to interact much anymore

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

Disclaimer: I am just a regular employee, I don't run the company, and as such, this is my perception. Views are my own and don't represent my employer's

- Hard to get information about anything. Customer support seems rushed to close the tickets.
- I cannot contact directly the company making the payslip to clear out important tax questions.
- They don't seem to know the regulation for my country (Spain).
- Everything must be done in English, which sometimes, for some topics, is a problem.
- To know my pending vacation days, I have to contact them to ask
- Difficult to register the hours worked (Mandatory in my country)
- They registered me with the authorities earlier than they should (it's fixed by now)
- No human touch

UPDATE August 22:
- nothing has changed, which is not a bad thing

**Recommendations to others considering Remote Recruit:**

Disclaimer: I am just a regular employee, I don't run the company, and as such, this is my perception. Views are my own and don't represent my employer's

- Know in advance what your taxes will be, and make your own math with the payslip, save the right amount of that money to give back the taxes to your government
- Know your local regulations and ask them how to apply them
- Keep track of your vacation days
- Keep track of your local bank holidays
- The health insurance they offer is very expensive and hard to use. Check wether it works for you or not before getting it

For the rest, they paid me on time, which I believe is 80% of what you can expect, rest are minor details

Thanks to them I can work remotely. That is important to me

  ### 37. Amazing employee handling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prajjwal M. | Junior Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

The primary upside of using remote is that you get to work from your own place without committing to reside in another country. Also, it is also worth mentioning that they have their own management system which takes care of all the legal paperwork which is in my opinion honestly great.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

It happened once or twice that a document was required but I did not get a notification on the dashboard during my onboarding. The part of software that manages the notifications could be improved.

**Recommendations to others considering Remote Recruit:**

If you are looking at a solution which allows you to work from your country of residence without travelling halfway across the world, remote is the way to go.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So the organisation that I work for via remote does not have a branch in my country. Remote enables me to work for them even though it's a small startup based in another country.

  ### 38. Works generally very well

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

Clear onboarding, good customer support, pays on time without many issues. The platform is fairly simple still but does everything you need it to do. Never had any issues to report.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

While customer support is good in terms of how speedy someone gets back to you, it does take a while to get the query escalated to the person/team who can actually do something about it.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote allows me to be hired in my country without me having to set up a company or go through any legal hurdles (given the company I work for does not have a presence in my country of residence).

  ### 39. Seamless onboarding with remote

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Száva M. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

The onboarding so far was very easy. The people at remote were super helpful, explaining everything. It was one of the more painless experiences thus far for me

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

Everything was ok, no problem so far at all

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am employed by a company that uses remote.com, I can work remotely without any problem and have the benefits of a FTE

  ### 40. Easy and beautiful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rita I. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy was the process with Remote (sign the contract, introduce my personal data on the app, etc). Also, the app is very simple and beautiful, there is a page with tutorials to use every tab but, the design is so good that you don't even need it, it's very intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

At the moment there is nothing that I dislike, everything seems to work properly, I didn't experience any bug in the app or something not clear, everything works as expected.

**Recommendations to others considering Remote Recruit:**

I think that finding an app that covers everything (payslips, time off, expenses...) as Remote is good for the employees, having everything in a single source of truth is very useful for them.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I could sign my contract with a company from another country, also I could upload the legal documents needed and verify my identity. All of these processes are asynchronous and very fast. With this system, the process is simpler, for both the company and the employee.

  ### 41. Seamless experience.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose I. | Product Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

The onboarding process is very short and simple, the remote platform simplifies a lot of stuff so that both the employee and employer can be on the same page.
The support provided by Remote.com is very human and very helpful as well!

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

The health insurance provided by Remote.com (at least here in Brazil) doesn't have a lot of coverage, I think this could be improved by using Unimed Campinas instead of the current one.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's resolving the problem where a company wants to contract people from outside their country, and with all the legal implications it has and thus offering a good experience for people who want that.

  ### 42. Remote is a game changer!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tj R. | Chief Customer Success Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

I love that for myself and my colleagues, we have a 1-stop experience for all things HR/Payroll/Benefits related. Since we're all 100% remote across North America, Remote makes it super easy to hire regardless of location.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

There are several websites in use, so so need to remember which site to go to for different reasons. (benefits, payroll information) Not a huge issue, but takes a bit to get used to.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With 100% remote employees, we need to be able to hire in North America, as our HQ is in NL. Remote streamlines the entire hire and employee processes. Remote removes hiring across different geo locations.

  ### 43. Remote Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gavin S. | Software Engineer Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

I love the support provided by Remote employees regarding any questions or issues I had with the onboarding process.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

A minor downside of using Remote is that I have to apply for a work visa myself as Remote's business model does not allow them to assist me with the process (the visa is for partially working at my company's office in the US).

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote helped my company hire me as I am a Canadian working Remotely for a US-based company without a Canada-based office. Without Remote, the hiring process would be a lot more difficult and would've taken a lot more time to complete.

  ### 44. Great app to get paid

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abisola A. | Technical Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

I love so many things about remote.com. The registration process is quick as well as filling withdrawal methods. The 24/7 customer service attends to all your issues quickly and technical as possible.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

My first transaction didn't go well here because my money ended up in my local currency which isn't the case for other platforms. Remote.com should have an affiliation with banks to auto-open domiciliary accounts for their users.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote is helping companies make payments to their staff working remotely. This has made me work remotely without bothering on how my money will be paid or going to the bank before getting my money

  ### 45. Very easy to use and amazing customer support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Xenia G. | Senior Technical Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

Amazing customer support and great interface.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

Remote App does not have a calendar view for time request. or if any find it

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can work remotely from my main residence country and have all the benefits and not deal with the taxes and health insistence on my own

  ### 46. A refreshingly easy process in a market that is still forming.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan E. | General Manager, Compliance & Data Protection Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

Remote are doing what others have attempted to do for so long, simplify and make the processing of Employer of Record services easy.

Remote, in my personal opinion, is WAY out in front of any competitor. Not that there are any close to them at all.

Onboarding, payments, extras, are all so easy and can be done at the click of a button. Saving time and money.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

The only place I feel could be improved is mobile usability and having a dedicated Remote app for employers and employees to use.

I am also saddened that the Remote team have decided to move away from SafetyWing as a remote health provider to a more well-known brand which has decreased the amount of overall coverage you receive.

**Recommendations to others considering Remote Recruit:**

Utilise the support team. They have great response times and even for the smallest of questions, they go above and beyond for you.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to hire a global workforce, whether they be contractors or employees through their 'employer of record' service, and provide discounted health insurance to employees is a game changer.

The fact that all you need to do to pay contractors or employees is hit 1 button again saves us time and money.

  ### 47. Simple and great solution that allowed us smooth and painless remote employment.

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

We are a small E-commerce shop (LLC) that sells decorative products for home interiors. Since we sell all over the world, we need designers, web devs, project managers, and customer service managers operating in different parts of the world to serve our customers worldwide, as well as maintain our remote production facilities in different countries.

There is no secret that hiring remote employees in different countries (including payroll, taxes, and compliance) can be difficult for a small company without an experienced HR department.

I came across the Remote by chance, just browsing through the search results, trying to find a suitable solution that matches our needs. I realized that it would be more efficient for us, a small company, to outsource an international HR management rather than hiring our own HR department. Remote was (and is) free, so I gave it a chance. Onboarding was smooth and fast, so we were even able to pay a couple of invoices to our contractors on the same day. We have been using Remote for about 2 months and so far I am satisfied.

We wanted to find a service provider, that has easy onboarding and smooth user experience and has a global payroll solution with a contractor management module that lets us onboard and pay global contractors in their local currencies. And last but not least, we were looking for a solution to ensure that we would stay compliant with the tax regulations in each specific country. I’m glad, that Remote handles all that essential HR needs for us.

Our business really looks forward to further ongoing and fruitful cooperation. At the moment, I am absolutely satisfied and recommend Remote to those business of all size whose needs are similar to ours.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

We have been using Remote for about 2 months and so far I am satisfied. Everything works properly.

**Recommendations to others considering Remote Recruit:**

I am absolutely satisfied and recommend Remote to those business of all size whose needs are similar to ours.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring remote employees in different countries (including payroll, taxes, and compliance).
We decided that it would be more efficient for us, a small company, to outsource an international HR management rather than hiring our own HR department. So we were looking a service provider that handles all that essential HR needs for us.

  ### 48. Remote.com offers ease and comfort for hiring remote empoloyees

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorick d. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

They provide expertise and a smooth onbaording experience. The platform is easy to use, clear and feature rich.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

The cost calculator is a nice feature, but searching for the local country information can be more straight forward

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote enables us to hire local talent in any country through their EoR service

  ### 49. Efficient and with good UX

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thais K. | Senior Product Designer | Specialist at Sherpaº, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

I like the usability of the Remote platform. The interface is simple/clear to use... I find it quickly whenever I'm looking for something specific... And when I needed support via email, I got a quick response.

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

At first there was a certain delay in sending my contract to sign. I waited about 1 month to get a response and when I got the information about my admission exam, for example, they were "mismatched"... The contract signing process was therefore a bit stressful, but everything ended up being resolved.

**Recommendations to others considering Remote Recruit:**

An efficient and secure platform. It positively surprised me.

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like the fact that I always receive my payslips and be notified. The expense reimbursement functionality (when it happens) is very simple on the platform (I like the UX itself)...
So far the role of "intermediary" that Remote has been doing/fulfilling has been very efficient.

  ### 50. Smooth and agile

**What do you like best about Remote Recruit?**

How fast and effortless was the onboarding process and how helpful were the agent

**What do you dislike about Remote Recruit?**

Not having enough information about certain topics at hand never the less this can be quickly addressed by the agent

**What problems is Remote Recruit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote is helping me to work in my dreamed job despite the company not having anyone else in my country
