There are too many things to like the remote desktop service, to can easily connect your pc anywhere in the world and easily securely share the files and quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is nothing to say dislike in remote desktop but one thing is that when we use this tool fast and efficient, so the network speed is more rapid—otherwise, we facing disconnectivity problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. I like the fact that remote desktop software is far cheaper than the other remote desktop softwares currently in the market.

2. If you are working remotely and supporting clients in Europe, then remote desktop apps are a must due to gdpr regulations which says that a server cannot be hosted in other continents hence you will not be able to work from your local laptop.

1. Takes 3-4 tries to login despite having a very reliable internet

2. You only get 1/10th of bandwidth in remote desktop however it works well in terms of speed. It becomes difficult for those who do not have a strong network (less than 5mbps)

3. Several apps like Teams, sticky notes don't work very well in remote desktop. I have seen Teams has an issue of screenshare where I cannot see others sharing their screen. Sticky notes don't load either.

4. Resolution of 1080px720p isn't enough either. It looks like it's running at 480p

The native MacOSX application works really well, I'm actually kind of ashamed of being an engineer and using VMware to open a Windows Virtual Machine and using the remote connection feature built into Windows for almost 2 years before knowing that I could use the native MacOSX app that works exactly the same as the Windows application, functionality-wise with the only minor difference of how command and control keys work in the host machine. My only complaint is that it was kind of hard to find, not widely known unless you purposely look into it in the App Store or a coworker tells you(like it happened to me) since it is a Microsoft Application you don't have to worry to introduce an extra point of security vulnerabilities Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You can control it as if you were physically there as long as you have enough VRAM and a fast internet connection, our main use is to have the servers control the intranet hardware with a 2-factor token and we can connect to them only when inside a VPN with another 2-factor authentication token, there is no such thing as perfect security but you can get very close if you do an onion-like layer authentication. Also, I love that as a bonus you can have the RDP connector directly from Microsoft or in the APP store, convenient and secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
