You can connect easily from Linux, Windows, and MacOSX to any Windows server, I use the built-in MacOSX application to connect to servers that control client network infrastructure from a VPN to a local area IP and only from there it's possible to connect to Switches, Routers and the rest of the network core. With this design, it's very hard to get in unless you are the authorized user since it's several layers of authentication. Conflicting shortcuts but I think this is more a fault of Apple since command = windows some shortcuts are launched to MacOSX host instead of the remote machine, slightly annoying but easily solvable. Having a jump server easily available from any windows or MacOSX machine with a Gui and being able to use it as easily as if you were physically there. For convenience and security, it's a huge plus that any network deployment needing an extra layer of security can be accessed with a program coming directly from Microsoft and available from the App store of Microsoft store. it hardens the whole deployment and at the same time it's easy enough to use that is not a huge inconvenience. While I like it very much, a few details like Command and Windows key shortcuts sometimes interfering with each other make it a little annoying to use it in MacOSX but if you are using those commands you already know what you are doing and another way to fire what you need so it's not a big deal. Despite being a wonderful program for Windows on Mac leaves much to be desired especially when trying an RDS connection this is not as smooth and fast what can be a problem to train users who use Mac, the reboot process is very slow and can be really tedious, I think they should enhance the speed when accessing a picture or watching a video finally the remote desktop service does not have a visible option to increase or decrease the size of the screen.
