ReliablyME, based in Toronto, Canada, was founded in 2018 and launched the first BETA in 2020. ReliablyME gives people an opportunity to hold each other accountable and showcase their authentic self and social worth to those on whom they rely (in health or human services) for support or access. Using instant messaging (SMS/WhatsApp) or the web/mobile app anyone can send a digital promise to anyone else and have that social contract registered as a permanent record on a blockchain, thereby allowing them to build their Commitment Portfolio of earned purpose-specific badges, and reliability-related scores to augment their resume or performance review. ReliablyME is particularly useful for affecting and tracking behavioral outcomes, as it employs a commitments-based nudging methodology that is academically proven to be the most cost-effective way to affect behavior change.
