I don’t like the document translation feature, as it’s often inaccurate and unreliable. I also feel that some common DFIR-oriented functions are missing, although that may simply reflect my personal preferences and professional background. Finally, I think the platform would benefit a lot from a real-time AI chat assistant to help speed up project management, as well as review, triage, and analysis. Relativity has freed us from relying on a slow, outdated, maintenance-heavy on-premises infrastructure. By moving to a modern, cloud-based platform, we’ve eliminated constant performance issues, reduced operational costs, and removed the need for ongoing upkeep. The main strength of Relativity is the versatility of the platform. It can be used across a wide variety of projects, and we have integrated many of our own tools into it, with more integrations planned as it continues to form the foundation of many of our new developments. The support team is highly responsive whenever assistance is needed, and the learning resources are extremely helpful for both new users and experienced users looking to stay up to date with the latest features, developments, and best practices. The newer toolsets, particularly those focused on AI, are a significant improvement over earlier offerings. They are intuitive, easy to learn, and benefit from a much more user-friendly interface, making them straightforward to adopt and incorporate into day to day workflows. While the newer features are well designed, I think the UI for the platform's core functionality particularly the older tools and foundational features feels somewhat dated and could benefit from a refresh. Streamlining the search and filtering experience, along with modernising the permissions workflow (for example, reducing the reliance on pop-up windows), would make the platform feel more intuitive and efficient. Separately, I have experienced inconsistent performance in some RelativityOne workspaces. At times, search performance slows unexpectedly, and I've encountered occasional freezing, slow page refreshes, and delays when loading or navigating between searches. I think Relativity is a very user-friendly platform. It's easy to get up to speed, although it requires some learning. I appreciate the security in place and the recent developments into Gen AI. Relativity Air, for review and privileged identification, is very valuable for quick case strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Relativity? I think in general, the pricing is quite expensive compared to other solutions in the market. And I think also probably the learning curve for someone that wants to use the platform as a self-service e-discovery platform. It couldn't work well, you have to also spend a lot of money in the Gen AI solutions that they have recently incorporated. I think in relation to their Gen AI solutions, I can see, for example, competitors using Gen AI across entire datasets and basically getting answers to the questions very quickly about large datasets. This is something I think that the activities team needs to work better. In terms of learning, it is true that there is a lot of learning available. Sometimes, you know, having more support from the team could be very helpful. Relation to the price, I would say a pay-as-you-go model is available in other platforms. Not at the moment, with the current Relativity One subscription. And by the way, when you basically want to use Relativity Air, you need to have already a subscription with your Relativity One. I love how Relativity is amazing for data breach response, especially its ability to pick out key PII and entities, linking them to assist with manual review. It’s great at bringing the most relevant documents forward. In investigations, it links emails together, allowing for quick review and helping me understand high-level information. What I like most about Relativity is just how easy it is to use. It's very easy to understand and learn, and most things are pretty intuitive, which I appreciate. It just makes our lives easier—when I want to do something specific, I can often figure it out myself because of how intuitive it is. Also, the feature that lets us export a lot to Excel is amazing, and using express transfer when importing is really easy and fast. Everything integrates really well. With a particular Data Breach Response my team was working on, it just kept crashing after 5 mins for everyone. I think it's because it was a lot of docs and quite a few people reviewing. I appreciate features like search term reporting, email threading, and textual near duplicate identification, which allow me to quickly cull down large data sets and find documents of interest more efficiently. I like the Review Center because it provides clear and useful statistics statistics for administrators. I'm particularly keen on the Air for Review feature as it helps manage large volume of documents and delivers more relevant documents for the review team. I also find the initial setup of Relativity quite intuitive, and the platform offers a complete end-to-end workflow regardless whether data is acquired using tools such as Cellebrite, FTK, or Encase. For example, if you have an old ARM backup created in an archive format other than .zip, it needs to be repackaged into a zip before restoration. It really simplifies a ton of underlying architecture that we would otherwise have to build, and it comes with a ready-made audience, which is a big plus for product developers like us. I like the extensible nature of it. The review process is another aspect that I've found Relativity got right.
