"Why go with register.com when there are cheaper, just as effective alternatives?"

What do you like best about Register.com?

Pretty standard offerings on domain name registrations and several website hosting packages. They do offer a few international top-level domains that are not as available on godaddy. They seem to have reasonable support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Register.com?

Pricey relative to alternatives!! $35 for 1 yr is nearly $20 more than godaddy for the same period!

Many generic top level domain names not supported. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Register.com:

Try out godaddy or other options unless you are looking for something specific from register.com. I've used register.com for domain name registration at a prior company -- it was beneficial to choose a 3-yr term to get some savings. Also, they offer private whois registration so that your info isn't exposed broadly -- highly recommended Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Another domain register"

What do you like best about Register.com?

I have had several clients use register.com--it does work really well & their interface is rather simplistic for making DNS changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Register.com?

When it came to needing support, I was not very impressed with their support and every problem seemed to be my fault. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
