"Easy, Intuitive SQL Server Insights That Save Time And Effort"
5/5
What do you like best about Redgate Monitor?

It is easy to use and helps to quickly and easily surface difficult to get information about SQL Server, e.g. digging through DMV's will get the same information, but would take a lot longer.

The price provides good value for money too.

The UI is responsive and intuitive so senior leadership can understand what the is being shown too Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redgate Monitor?

I have quite a specific issue, where I want to be able to track execution plan changes for a particular query, and while the information is in Redgate, it takes many clicks to get to is Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, DBA-Focused SQL Server Monitoring - but still behind on AI"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Redgate Monitor?

Redgate is extremely intuitive, presenting you the most important metrics of your SQL servers at glance. Also, it understands how SQL server behaves: queries, waits, blocking, etc. facilitating the DBA troubleshooting process. Redgate Monitor is designed for DBA-focused visibility, and does not bring other "distractions". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redgate Monitor?

I've noticed many times Redgate agent as our top consumer on TempDB usage login. We have also noticed the agent blocking one of our internal processing order job (coming from the SQL Server Instance path - confirmed by Redgate Support). The fact that Redgate does not integrate with other components, limits its value as a "company-wide observability". On-premise version is hard to enable AI features, as it depends on enabling Internet connectivity to servers placed in a restricted network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Redgate Monitor Makes Database Performance Troubleshooting Fast and Stress-Free"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Redgate Monitor?

Redgate Monitor is most helpful for quickly and confidently troubleshooting database performance issues. Its intuitive interface and clear metrics make it easy to identify root causes without digging through multiple tools or manual scripts. One of the biggest upsides is the significant reduction in time, stress, and uncertainty issues that once took hours or even days to diagnose can now be resolved much faster. For my Team, Redgate Monitor streamlines day-to-day DBA work, improves efficiency, and makes managing database performance far more enjoyable and reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redgate Monitor?

While Redgate Monitor is very powerful, there are a few areas that I think could be improved. Some advanced metrics and features can feel overwhelming at first and require time to fully understand. Secondly, Initial setup and configuration / upgrade can also be a bit time-consuming, especially in larger or more complex environments. Additionally, customization of dashboards and custom alerting would make it even more flexible for different environment needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best-in-Class Help for SQL Server DBA Troubleshooting"
5/5
What do you like best about Redgate Monitor?

For a very small shop this is the best product to help the DBA troubleshoot issues. We work with a third party vendor and have been able to use the Redgate product to find issues that we reported back to the vendor. We even did it so often that the vendor changed their product to start using Redgate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redgate Monitor?

We do not use Oracle, Postgres, or other database products, just Microsoft SQL Server which is why we bought the original SQL Monitor.

All the other added database products are just extra weight and the continued notices about other products is annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Single Dashboard Makes It Easy to Spot SQL Server Issues"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Redgate Monitor?

The single dashboard that shows the whole SQL server estate makes it easy to spot issues.

And the analysis tab which helps invesigate issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redgate Monitor?

The number of alerts that get generated. It would be nice to be able to flag an alert that we have begun work on so that redgate monitor knows that ut is a known issue being worked on and to stop spamming this particular alert during thistime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive UI and AI-Assisted Monitoring, Seamless Setup"
5/5
What do you like best about Redgate Monitor?

I use Redgate Monitor to keep an eye on our live database servers and love how it puts all our metrics in one place. The product is regularly updated, mostly with new features rather than bug fixes, which I find impressive. The UI is intuitive and easy to use, making adoption by the rest of the team much smoother. The setup was hassle-free, supported by solid documentation, and the integration of AI to handle heavy lifting like analyzing deadlocks and blocks and tuning queries or indexes saves considerable time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redgate Monitor?

We've had to tweak the notifications to work for our use case, but we've managed to find a product that we can self host which will do the trick. Our support requirement requires us to respond to alerts at all times of the day, so we needed to find something that would work for us in a persistent (until responded to) kind of way. "Redgate Monitor: Great out of the box database monitor!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Redgate Monitor?

The things that I like best on Redgate Monitor is the complete set of metrics and alerts that come out of the box, the ease of use and setup and the possibility to easily setup new custom alerts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redgate Monitor?

So far I have not found a real point that I dislike, coming from another product it took some time to adjust to the new way of presenting data, that's all! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential for SQL Performance Monitoring"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Redgate Monitor?

I use Redgate Monitor for monitoring our SQL Server databases, both on-premise and with Azure Managed Instance. I appreciate its ability to solve performance issues and help me check what caused those issues even after they occur. I like the compliance feature for SQL Server patching, as it provides a comprehensive view in a single page. The analysis page, email reports, and alerts are also things I enjoy. Setting up Redgate Monitor was easy, and nothing needed to change, which was great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redgate Monitor?

"Easy-to-Read Real-Time Alerts, Helpful Query Insights, Great Overview panel and Smooth AD SSO"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Redgate Monitor?

On our side, managing 3 clusters + some dev & test instances is difficult. We love how redgate is easy to read, alerts & overview brings already a lot of informations and in efficient real time.

The notification by mail is also a good point as we don't have to connect everytime with it.

As well, the query viewer and the statistics of SQL queries are very useful and helped us many times during troubleshooting.

To end it, we obviously like the link with Active Directory to bring some access via SSO to our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redgate Monitor?

It is somtimes complex when you dig into alerts details and it takes a little bit of time to understand everything.

The GUI can get very filled with a lot (or too much) details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One SQL Server Monitoring in One Place"
4/5
What do you like best about Redgate Monitor?

It’s a consolidated tool that provides information about SQL servers. It’s a single place where I can check disks, CPU usage, indexes, blocks, deadlocks, and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redgate Monitor?

Recently, I encountered an issue where a notification kept popping up asking me to activate the license, which was a bit frustrating. Also, the price of Redgate is really high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
