"Keeps my business organized and my brain calm"

What do you like best about Shift?

I love that Shift keeps everything I need right in one place. I can easily switch between client emails, task managers like ClickUp, project tools like Asana, my calendar in Sunsama, and notes in Notion without getting distracted. It really helps me stay focused and organized throughout the day. The setup was simple, and it’s been a reliable way to keep my work streamlined and stress-free. What do you dislike about Shift?

The only thing I don’t love is using Shift as a browser for general web searches or browsing. I’m not sure what it is, but I prefer using my regular browser for that. Also, there are a few apps I use that aren’t supported yet, so I still have to keep those separate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?

Shift helps solve the problem of juggling too many tabs, apps, and logins throughout the day. It keeps everything I need for my business in one place so I can easily move between communication, task management, and scheduling without losing focus. "A must-have for anyone with multiple email accounts"

What do you like best about Shift?

Shift makes it easy to work with multiple accounts in Gmail, Outlook, and more and transition between them seamlessly. It also makes it easy for me to switch between Gmail, my Google Calendar, and my Google Drive without having ten thousand tabs open. Trying to work with multiple accounts within a single browser is a nightmare, but Shift makes it easy to get set up quickly and helps me stay and work in the right account without hassle.

I have Shift installed on all my computers and I use it daily. On the rare occasion that I have contacted customer support, they respond quickly and I'm able to get my issues resolved in one conversation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shift?

Shift is pricey ($149 per year, as of this review), but it is worth every cent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?

Shift helps me to work in multiple workspaces without having to log in and out of accounts in my browser. Additionally, since Shift keeps accounts separated, when I open a link to a Google Doc in Gmail account X, Shift opens the Google Doc in account X, whereas a browser opens all Google Docs in the first Google account you logged into, regardless of what account you used to access the link. "Absolutely recommend Shift!"

What do you like best about Shift?

I have 4 different mail accounts and it has helped me streamline my work and keep me organized the past few years. I use it daily and love that it allows you to work in separate workspaces for each email account. I've always received timely responses when I reach out to customer support. The other good things is that it's pretty easy and straightforward to use and I love that you can integrate different apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shift?

Honestly, I don't see may downsides. The only one would be that sometimes when I click links, it goes to my external Chrome browser vs. opening within Shift. I think I someimes prefer a separate browser because I get more screen space vs. in Shift, which is smaller. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I couldn't run my business without Shift!"

What do you like best about Shift?

I love the ability to be able to have different workspaces, each of which can have multiple windows open for many different uses. As a business owner that helps other business owners -- I am able to have a different workspace for each business. Allowing me to be extremely organized in my day-to-day tasks. What do you dislike about Shift?

I do not like that it does not allow use on tablets or iPads. I do understand why though. I also wish it had a workspace option for Outlook as many of my clients use that email account (without needing to add it as an app as this causes me technical issues). "Centralised Productivity Masterpiece with some long term flaws"

What do you like best about Shift?

Overall experience of the software is faster, support tickets are answered more quickly. The software foundation itself continues to impress with a centralised theme being core to its usefulness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shift?

A year on, still awaiting the Cloudflare issue with "are you human" to be resolved. This means certain apps don't work with Shift, vCita and now ManageWP being the primary ones causing me most concern and frustration at the time its taking to fix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?

The memory footprint is the biggest benefit for me, as a consultant working with many clients, I used to have a myriad of tabs open for each project inside Chrome, now I use Shift instead and can easily arrange all the apps I need access to in a worspace, much easier to use.

I used to rely on Mozilla Thunderbird for email, but that led to complicated setup, huge MBOX files taking up lots of disk space.

Now, I simply add my personal GMail and Google Workspace to Shift and have easy and seamless access to personal and business email.

Bottom line, it's brilliant to have access to everything I need under one roof, no multiple browsers or apps needed any more, it just works, and works beautifully. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great way to organize apps in one place and not get lost on your desktop"

What do you like best about Shift?

I keep the Shift window up on one of my monitors so that I am always able to see my emails, both work and personal, and then can switch to any of the work applications that I use in one click. I use to struggle to find an application in the many windows and tabs in Google Chrome. What do you like best about Shift?

What I like best about Shift is how it centralizes all my email accounts, apps, and workspaces in one clean interface. It saves me from constantly switching tabs or browsers and keeps my workflow focused and organized.

The only downside I’ve noticed is that Shift can be a bit resource-heavy at times. When I have multiple accounts and extensions open, it tends to use more RAM and CPU than I’d like. But overall, the productivity benefits still outweigh that inconvenience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shift or bust"

What do you like best about Shift?

As a serial entrepreneur I have 15 active email accounts that I manage daily and Shift is the most essential tool I have in my arsenal of go to tools. Effectively and efficiently managing communications, calendars, and contacts for each account is a no brainer with Shift. With integrated apps like Zoom, HubSpot, and different browser extensions for each company there is simply no better software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shift?

If I could wave my magic wand and add additional functionality to my Shift account, I would add the ability to view my myriad of social media accounts associated with each unique email account to a social dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shift?

I love that I have one software that keeps my main and most frequently used websites and tools open. The integrations are great, and I love that it cuts down on the number of tabs I have open in my browser. It was easy to set up and is easy to use; I have it set to launch whenever my computer powers up and I use it daily, throughout the day- I definitely recommend it! "I save AT LEAST an hour each week using Shift for my digital communication needs"

What do you like best about Shift?

I use multiple gmail, texting and messaging apps daily, Shift has SIMPLIFIED my life so much and allows me to jump between accounts without a million login and log outs. It probably saves me an hour each week in time not spent jumping around and I love that I don't have to pollute my chrome tabs with gmail, messenger and whats app tabs. What do you dislike about Shift?

The thing I like least about Shift is that every once in a while I can't copy an email address from an email, it says copy link instead of the chrome native "copy email" option. It can also be a bit of a memory hog, to keep Chrome and Shift open at the same time I had to upgrade my ram. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
