Being able to immediately get into calendars from there is also a big positive. Instead of having to have multiple different apps and software open at one time and slowing down my Mac, I can have them all open, active and logged in in one piece of software. I use Shift all day, every day and it's easy to set up and switch between a personal and work mode. So I have all the apps, software & email accounts I use for work separate from my personal ones. With one click I can switch back and forth as needed and Shift remembers where I was when I switch between apps. Integration is easy, just log in once and Shift always remembers which account is which. So if I have two Google Drives for example (personal and work) my work one will always be logged into my work profile and personal always logged in on my personal. No need to be logging in and out constantly. Customer support I never really have to use, as Shift is made so well. But the few times I have needed it my issues have been fixed in a timely manner. **What do you dislike about Shift?** Only some minor issues. What seems to be common for other apps is to have a public roadmap of improvements or what apps are next to be added etc. There is little communication about what is coming next or getting updated in Shift etc. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** Only needing Shift open, instead of multiple RAM heavy software products and windows. I also like having a fair amount of integrations that I can add into specific profiles where each profile can have it's own set of applications really separating between work and school. The list of integrations keeps growing. **What do you dislike about Shift?** So integrations do not work as well and need to constantly be removed and readded (Instagram comes to mind). Also video conference applications slow down an already resource intensive application and cause Shift to crash. The web browser feature using an older version of Chrome which sometimes does not work when clicking a web link inside of email account. Particulary with Outlook/Microsoft accounts, Shift doesn't cache the mail tab and sends the user to the default microsoft.com web page focring the user to spend a few minutes getting the email tab working as expected (and when you sign in, it opens a new tab instead of following the page). **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helped me be able to stay focused at work by not have dozens of tabs open. Shift is awesome at consolidating all these accounts, creating unified calendars, integrating with other apps and making switching between accounts a breeze. It's very intuitive to implement. I looked into replacing Shift at once stage, reviewing a number of different open source or cheaper alternatives, but none came close. Support is always responsive and super helpful. Makes my everyday activities a breeze when compared to other email clients plus web browser tabls. **What do you dislike about Shift?** Shift works exceptionally well for Gmail and Google Suite, Microsoft Outlook and Hotmail and other browser based email platforms, BUT does not accomodate email accounts based on IMAP or POP3 which required large local storage on my computer. I use other email clients for these. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Shift, I had to use multiple browsers to support concurrent use of different email accounts: Chrome, Firefox, Firefox Developer, Opera, Brave, and others. I maxed out on the different browsers installed on my computer. This was a clumsy way to login to different email accounts and setup workspaces for each persona. I used to have a MacBook Air and had to upgrade to a Pro to be able to run shift as well as other programs. Customer service has also been fantastic. There was an update a few years ago, and suddenly, Shift wasn't accessing my email correctly. I emailed a customer service rep, and rather than being vague about what was happening, they let me know there was a problem with the most recent update and how it handled the sign-in to my email. They told me that it was their top priority to fix it, but they also walked me through the process of getting the system up and working again until they could fix the error. I was able to use Shift, and they fixed the issue officially later that day (this issue has been the only time I ever needed to contact customer service integration and use outside of this one issue 3-5 years ago has been flawless). **What do you dislike about Shift?** I sometimes wish there was a phone app, but I don't think it's completely necessary. I would rather have them focus on making the desktop app as great as possible. The only other complaint I could come up with would be about adding additional features. The level of customisation is super handy and it was easy to set up. **What do you dislike about Shift?** I don't actively dislike anything about Shift! Outside of that - there isn't really anything to dislike. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bringing all of my tools into one place instead of multiple browers.
