I can have them all open in Shift and easily toggle between them. It also allows me to easily see that I have new emails, chats or projects for every application that I have in my dashboard at a quick glance. This saves me hours a day with my busy schedule as a web and tech manager. I color code each client so I can glance and see applications that belong to each specific client. From Google Mail, Slack, Asana, Teamwork, Help Scout, Harvest, Paymo, Dropbox, RoboForm, CodePen, and many more applications that I use. They all have a home in Shift and cut my hours of logging in and out of applications to a minimum! I can't recommend Shift enough! Take control of your life! I use it every day! So easy to set up and start using within 30 minutes or less. **What do you dislike about Shift?** I really don't have much to say negatively about Shift. Sometimes when someone sends me a link let's say in Slack - and it's an Asana link, sometimes it has trouble finding it, but, a workaround is to copy the link and paste it into the right Shift Asana application. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having to login to multiple applications, having too many browser windows open. It can integrate multiple accounts, with incoming messages automatically grouped into as many as four categories. Implementation was simple. I just entered the account access information, and it imported everything. I rely on it at work every day, to handle email quickly and efficiently and without losing track of any. It just works. I've never had to call customer support. I've tried other email clients, but Shift is the most reliable and the only one that works for me. **What do you dislike about Shift?** Shift had trouble, at times, printing to my PDF editor (PDF-Exchange Editor Plus) but they seem to have fixed it in the latest update. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** Grouping email items by type, based on my classifications, is essential for the way I work. Shift handles this perfectly. When I click a link in an email, it opens as another tab in the Shift window. If I want to open a particular link in a different browser, this is also an option. The software foundation itself continues to impress with a centralised theme being core to its usefulness. **What do you dislike about Shift?** A year on, still awaiting the Cloudflare issue with "are you human" to be resolved. This means certain apps don't work with Shift, vCita and now ManageWP being the primary ones causing me most concern and frustration at the time its taking to fix. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** The memory footprint is the biggest benefit for me, as a consultant working with many clients, I used to have a myriad of tabs open for each project inside Chrome, now I use Shift instead and can easily arrange all the apps I need access to in a worspace, much easier to use. I used to rely on Mozilla Thunderbird for email, but that led to complicated setup, huge MBOX files taking up lots of disk space. Now, I simply add my personal GMail and Google Workspace to Shift and have easy and seamless access to personal and business email. The only think that is not practical with Shift is that my LastPass does not seam to work well with Shift....which means it does not fill my user name and password automatically. I love how Shift leverages Google Workspace to create a tightly integrated environment across multiple businesses. Setting up was easy, the hundreds of app integrations stunned me, and configuring each space was a great experience. The unified search is incredibly powerful for solving inefficiency problems, and having apps installed in either a single workspace or across workspaces provides a consistent interface. I can install Shift on multiple systems, and it brings my environment up without leaving any footprint. Shift is the only tool that I've found to manage 20+ email accounts efficiently. Not only can I immediately see notification numbers for each of the accounts but I'm also able to add social media profiles that I check on regularly. The best part is that I do not have to log in and out of each account! I really don't know what I would do without Shift. All my main applications (Outlook, Slack, Zoom, Asana, Salesforce, etc.) are in one place. I don't have a million windows open in Safari or Chrome anymore. It is embarrassing the number of times I jump on a Zoom call and have to watch other participants scramble through all their tabs to find the one they are looking for. Every time I share my screen, I get complimented on how organized I am and also get questioned about Shift. It's super easy to set up and add programs to Shift as well; very intuitive. **What do you dislike about Shift?** I prefer to use Chrome to open links, as I use Wordpress a good deal and need Shift available for transferring information back and forth between Asana and Outlook. It is frustrating when I try to open links in Outlook or Asana that they keep opening in Shift, even though I have settings updated to open in Chrome. I have been able to support my staff with shift and I have also encouraged many other folks to use it as well. It works well on my Apple computers which not all programs do and it is easy to switch between devices much more easily with some of the newer updates. Customer service has also been very helpful in the past when I needed to reach out to them. I use shift every single day! **What do you dislike about Shift?** I dislike a handful of things about shift but most of them usually get fixed quite quickly. For a while there were some issues were it would shut down without saving your browser pages - but they tend to troubleshoot issues like this very quickly when they are brought to their attention. I have also sent emails to their cusomter support when issues arise and they have done what they can to address them in a timely manner. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** Shift makes sure that I do not need to sign into all of my browsers every time I use it, which is absoloutely vital to me with the multi step verifications that are quite common now. If I had to sign into them all individually it would eat up half my working time. Instead of having to have multiple different apps and software open at one time and slowing down my Mac, I can have them all open, active and logged in in one piece of software. I use Shift all day, every day and it's easy to set up and switch between a personal and work mode. So I have all the apps, software & email accounts I use for work separate from my personal ones. With one click I can switch back and forth as needed and Shift remembers where I was when I switch between apps. Integration is easy, just log in once and Shift always remembers which account is which. So if I have two Google Drives for example (personal and work) my work one will always be logged into my work profile and personal always logged in on my personal. No need to be logging in and out constantly. Customer support I never really have to use, as Shift is made so well. But the few times I have needed it my issues have been fixed in a timely manner. **What do you dislike about Shift?** Only some minor issues. What seems to be common for other apps is to have a public roadmap of improvements or what apps are next to be added etc. There is little communication about what is coming next or getting updated in Shift etc. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** Only needing Shift open, instead of multiple RAM heavy software products and windows. I also like having a fair amount of integrations that I can add into specific profiles where each profile can have it's own set of applications really separating between work and school. The list of integrations keeps growing. **What do you dislike about Shift?** So integrations do not work as well and need to constantly be removed and readded (Instagram comes to mind). Also video conference applications slow down an already resource intensive application and cause Shift to crash. The web browser feature using an older version of Chrome which sometimes does not work when clicking a web link inside of email account. Particulary with Outlook/Microsoft accounts, Shift doesn't cache the mail tab and sends the user to the default microsoft.com web page focring the user to spend a few minutes getting the email tab working as expected (and when you sign in, it opens a new tab instead of following the page). **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helped me be able to stay focused at work by not have dozens of tabs open.
