Users can understand it in less than an hour. Task lists and tags csn be set up per project, so it's very flexible. Time tracking easy to use but very detailed to analyse. **What do you dislike about Redbooth?** For development and complex projects it can be somehow limited. Integrations with third party apps somehow limited. Seems that development and improvement of the app is quite limited or slow. **What problems is Redbooth solving and how is that benefiting you?** Agency projects like websites or marketing campaigns can be set-up and controlled easily with Redbooth. Working time and billable hours can be also managed, although it's not perfect. ### 2. I personally think that the individual task management is very straightforward, with the ability to assign, remind and tag individuals being very flexible. I prefer having it this way than digging through emails. We have a professional project manager on staff who manages our system very well and keeps it neat. **What do you dislike about Redbooth?** My two major gripes are how poorly RB handles Word documents, and the lack of a calendar view. We are often sending word documents back and forth, and RB's "preview" functions are very lacking. I always have to download the file and open it, even if I just need to skim over it quickly. I also really would like to be able to have a calendar view of specific task areas. We keep a list of upcoming dates in a section, and viewing that on a calendar would be incredibly valuable to my team. **Recommendations to others considering Redbooth:** Redbooth is only worthwhile if you commit to it. It really requires that you use the system for everything, and move off of trying to coordinate your projects on email/text. **What problems is Redbooth solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the task of keeping track of a diverse number of digital and web deliverables across a remote team. Having everything in a central location is incredible helpful, and for the most part it has lightened the load on our email inboxes. We are also able to log all of our completed tasks and projects in RB, which is good for looking back and analyzing. ### 4. An alright basic tool, but clunky to use and heavy on the notifications. **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018 **What do you like best about Redbooth?** When I used Redbooth, I appreciated the ability to create templates for tasks and easily assign them, mark as complete, and close projects. **What do you dislike about Redbooth?** Redbooth delivered a significant amount of notifications to your inbox, which instead of alerting you to an important task, just quickly became background noise in your inbox that you ignored just to the sheer volume. **Recommendations to others considering Redbooth:** Redbooth is a fine introductory tool to project management in your organization. I found it to be clunky and quite limited in its ability to facilitate collaboration. This was likely a mix between the product's limitations and ineffective implementation uniformly across the team. **What problems is Redbooth solving and how is that benefiting you?** I primarily used Redbooth to project manage on a blog or to collaborate between different teams in the marketing department. ### 5. I like the way updates are streamlined, as well. **What do you dislike about Redbooth?** The program isn't the clearest or most user friendly layout. I find it difficult to know the difference between noting that an assignment has been completed or deleting a task. **Recommendations to others considering Redbooth:** To wit, I think there's a key comparison between Redbooth and Slack as organizational programs, and I would suggest testing both products to understand which is more effective for your organization. **What problems is Redbooth solving and how is that benefiting you?** Organization and management are key to developing our business model, and we have used Redbooth to begin that development with key tasks assigned to different partners. ### 6. I have brought 2 coworkers on board and found it easy for them to get up to speed quickly. It handles tasks sorted into boards, which are themselves part of workspaces. Most things you'd expect to do with tasks (assign them, set a due date, add notes, etc.) it handles easily, and they obviously spent a lot of time refining the UI/UX as things simply work well. The pinnacle of its user-friendliness is the split page you see when you log in -- on the left you have a Notifications Pane, and on the right you have upcoming tasks due. We've found this to be a great way to stay on top of what the others are doing. **What do you dislike about Redbooth?** There are a few bugs and annoyances here and there (i.e. repeating tasks do not like to be deleted) but most of them can be worked around. The shared opinion in our office is that the notification settings are either too high (flooded email inbox) or too low (almost none). **Recommendations to others considering Redbooth:** This is a great software to quickly get people communicating on the same page. There will inevitably be some missing features you desire or some small frustrations, but nothing that makes the experience overly frustrating. **What problems is Redbooth solving and how is that benefiting you?** Redbooth helps us keep our team focused on shared projects, even when we aren't all working from the same location or on the same schedule. When we have meetings, we have one person designated as the recorder who adds all the to-do items that arise directly into Redbooth. When we can't meet, creating and assigning tasks keeps us moving forward. ### 8. UI is a bit clunky for new users. **Recommendations to others considering Redbooth:** Do a trial with a project.
