DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) is an email security standard that prevents attackers from spoofing a domain. Getting to p=reject, the enforcement level where domain spoofing is actually blocked, typically takes security teams months without dedicated tooling. For a large organisation with many different email sending services, implementing DMARC and identifying all the legitimate sources would have been a near impossible task without causing disruption.
