What do you like best about Red Hat Satellite?

I like how licensing can be handled all in one place. I also like how different OS info and patch level can be identified from a central console. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Red Hat Satellite?

I don't like how the scope for the software is limited to RHEL. Although used primarily for RHEL systems, we are sometimes forced to incorporate other Linux based OS in our environment, such as CentOS or ubuntu. If we were to dedicate time to improve our configuration to primarily use Satellite for patch management then we would still have to find a different solution for patch management at large for other OS, such as ansible or puppet. If we were able to pull in those other servers with similar architecture, there would be a huge benefit for using Satellite as the central solution across the board. Their LDAP integration could use some work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
