"Stable Updates, Expensive Licensing"
4/5
What do you like best about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?

I appreciate that updates from Red Hat Enterprise Linux are always stable, which makes it easier and gives me confidence to apply changes in any environment for validation. The libraries don't change or break suddenly, and the system is fully compatible with Docker images, which simplifies validations overall from the application. I also find the setup very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?

License is very expensive. Libraries are not cutting edge technology, language version lagging behind on the releases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate that Red Hat Enterprise Linux is the market leader for Linux operating systems. It's reliable, flexible, and cost-effective. I find it strong in security and suitable for enterprise-grade applications, making it a great replacement for some legacy Unix systems. The initial setup is rather easy, and one of the benefits is that it's based on open source, which makes it more customizable and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's crucial for enterprise-level servers that demand continuous uptime. I love its stability since it prevents downtime and server crashes, allowing me to avoid worrying about interruptions. Additionally, it offers a high level of security with built-in firewalls that protect against hackers. "Impeccable Stability and Security, Simple Installation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?

I find the management of patching through the generation of automated playbooks via the Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console very useful. I like that the same mechanism can be executed manually from the ssh console with a single command by simply selecting the CVE to resolve as a parameter. Furthermore, the system is stable and offers an effective security patching management mechanism. The initial installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux was also very simple and the deployment was very quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?

Perhaps the price is a bit high compared to products like Ubuntu Pro, but overall I find it reasonable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Red hat enterprise linux review"
5/5
What do you like best about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?

1. Much more secure than windows operating system.

2. Performance is best as compare to any other operating system even if we allocate minimum required resources like cpu ram etc

3. Used in almost every organisation to host most of the mission critical applications as rhel providers performance, security and free to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Red Hat Enterprise Linux?

1. GUI interface is not that user friendly as compare to windows.

2. Creating repository removes the packages dependency and installing packages without subscription is difficult.

3. If audit happens removing vulnerabilities and updating packages without subscription is so much difficult.

4. Making changes in the /etc configuration files and restarting any service as per need when selinux is in enforcing state is difficult.

5. Allowing ports and services when firewall is in on state is difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Subscription cost – Licensing fees can be expensive, especially for small companies or individual users.
