Works OK but probably some better options out there **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Andrew R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2023 **What do you like best about Recurly?** Recurly has many of the features you'd need to set up subscription billing. And they have a well-documented API. It's also fairly reliable and there's transparency around availability (although there are fairly regular issues with parts of the system). **What do you dislike about Recurly?** - Customer service - we have numerous frustrations with Recurly and, whenever we raise them with the team, our comments seem to fall on deaf ears. In one specific example, we asked for a simple copy change to the way credits are described on invoices because it confuses our customers and creates a lot of work for our customer service team. But, all we were told was "I have submitted your feedback to our product team but do not have any kind of timetable of when or if this may be considered". So, they're not saying they disagree with the copy change, they're just saying it may or may not be considered. And there is no timetable for when that may or may not happen. Disappointing to say the least. - Reports - reports are not great (we've provided a lot of feedback on this over the years). So, we have to invest in ChartMogul to provide decent metrics (at quite a high cost). - Invoices are not clear enough for our customers - Fairly expensive **What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're a SaaS company using it as our subscription billing platform. ### 2. It's clean. I like the exports of reports. **What do you dislike about Recurly?** I wish you could do bulk actions like apply a coupon to multiple accounts at once. I wish you could bill with parent/ child hierarchies. I wish the reporting was better, such as customized fields like Stripe. **What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?** Accounting/ billing for a startup, collections of cash ### 3.
