"High Fidelity Tool with Integration Challenges"
4/5
What do you like best about Recorded Future?

I have been using Recorded Future for about four years as a fresh intelligence tool, and I truly enjoy the tool. The fidelity and granularity of Recorded Future stand out remarkably as compared to other threat intelligence platforms. Its detail-oriented nature allows me to gain deep insights into threat actors related to various IOCs, which I find invaluable for my work as a threat analyst. Additionally, I find the GUI of Recorded Future to be significantly more user-friendly than other tools like CrowdStrike or Mandiant, making it much easier for me to navigate and utilize effectively. Moreover, I appreciate the tool's ability to set alerts for potential threats, enabling quick and informed responses to any malicious activities reported on platforms like Telegram. Even though setting up integrations can be tricky, the supportive customer service has made the process manageable. Overall, the ability to search IOCs easily and gather comprehensive information quickly strengthens my ability to defend the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Recorded Future?

{"I find setting up integrations quite difficult, especially with Okta. It's confusing to understand what configurations would lock customers out and what keeps them in.","I experience difficulties with the ASM module, mainly due to the company's large scale and the need to segment many domains into different business organizations.","I've noted that the bulk upload functionality for IOCs is lacking. Currently, I have to upload IP addresses one by one, which is time-consuming compared to a bulk upload option.","The AI prediction functionality does not meet expectations, as I find it clunky and sometimes non-functional."} Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Recorded Future?

I appreciate how easy it was to set up Recorded Future—it made the initial process straightforward and hassle-free. The software provides valuable insights into the geopolitics around Bonnie Blue, which is crucial for me as it informs me about international travel trends related to this area. This feature particularly stood out, as it helps me track where Bonnie Blue is going to be every week, allowing me to plan visits accordingly. Overall, Recorded Future's ability to deliver timely and pertinent information regarding locations and events is impressive. I even find it compelling enough to consider purchasing a license next year so long as these updates continue. My likelihood to recommend this service to others is extremely high, indicative of my satisfaction with its capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Recorded Future?

I don't like that Recorded Future cannot provide me with precise future predictions regarding Bonnie Blue's whereabouts two days in advance. This feature would be incredibly useful for planning and would enhance the service significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Actionable Intelligence with Room for Better Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Recorded Future?

What I like best about Recorded Future is how quickly it gives me actionable intelligence. Instead of just raw data, it provides real context around threats — who’s behind them, what they’re targeting, and how they connect to other activity. It saves me a ton of research time and helps me make smarter security decisions faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Recorded Future?

Overall, I really like Recorded Future, but some of the modules can feel a bit siloed, and there are a few limitations in how data flows between them. It would be great to see more seamless integration across modules and deeper customization in dashboards and alerts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective Threat Intelligence with Room for UI Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Recorded Future?

I like the Recorded Future platform a lot. I find it to be a very useful platform, especially for thread intelligence. The geopolitical mapping is another aspect that I find very beneficial. Additionally, the event creation methodology is extremely useful, and I really appreciate the threat intelligence landscape it offers. The platform also features new developments in the cyber hunt engine that are expected to enhance its usability. I also find setting up Recorded Future was straightforward without any difficulties. Overall, it is a very effective platform for understanding new developments and staying updated with what's happening. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Recorded Future?

I find the user interface to be overly complex, with too many menu options on the initial page. It could benefit from being made simpler and more intuitive. Introducing an AI assistant to help navigate the platform could also enhance the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"RF Review"
5/5
What do you like best about Recorded Future?

The best part about RF is that it's a one stop shop for intel, whether its analysis of an IOC, or reading insight reports correlated to an event, or an IOC in general. I use this platform everyday, and probably wouldn't be able to do by job effectively as I could.

Over all integration of connectors are simple to setup. The API documentation is stellar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Recorded Future?

One thing that I don;t see in the platform, that I would like to see is some community with RF clients. It would be interesting to see notes of analysts in the platform. I know there is a community portal for RF, but it seems like no one uses it. Similar to the ex. of Virustotal comments for an indicator lookup. But that's really it. What do you like best about Recorded Future?

I find the Threat Module to be very helpful in giving my organization the ability to identify potential threats. Recorded Future also provides us with the tools, information, and direction on taking proactive actions against those threats to better protect the organization. As a traditional Threat Intelligence Platform, it meets or exceeds every expectation that I have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Recorded Future?

There are very few downsides to using Recorded Future. The only downside that my organization has observed is that the online portal is rather difficult to navigate and the advanced searching capabilities are hard to begin using as well. This has been mitigated by free leaning resources, certifications, and demos by Recorded Future though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
