Rechnung OS Desktop is an invoicing and bookkeeping application for freelancers, sole proprietors and small businesses in Germany. It runs on Mac (macOS 13 or later) and Windows 10 and 11 and keeps all data on the user's own computer, without a cloud service or user account. Invoices, quotes, delivery notes, credit notes and payment reminders are created as PDF with GiroCode, as ZUGFeRD (EN 16931) or as XRechnung. Mandatory fields and totals are validated before sending. Incoming e-invoices are displayed in readable form, including whole folders at once; receipts can be photographed and filed. The Premium edition adds bank reconciliation from statement files (CAMT.053, MT940, CSV) without bank login credentials, a cash book, the German EÜR (cash-basis profit statement), VAT pre-returns, an asset register, multiple companies and DATEV export. Standard costs EUR 39, Premium EUR 59, both as a one-time purchase. A 30-day trial includes all features. Reading e-invoices remains free.
