ReCharge has taken the manual process out of my wife's business, making it easier for her to focus on the growth of her customer base rather than trying to manually keep track of subscribers in spreadsheets. It felt a bit daunting to us at first as we were trying to set it up. But we were grateful for the free onboarding webinar they provided us to help ease the transition. In the past, my wife kept up with all of our subscribers just in Google spreadsheets. There was a large margin for error doing it this way - and, indeed, we did encounter quite a few of those errors. I like the functionality of ReCharge. We used to have to manually charge cards for customers who had a subscription set up. Nightmare and impossible to manage. ReCharge automated all of this for us. They've done an amazing job improving their customer support and analytics reporting dashboard. I met one of the lead account managers, Harteg, a little over a year ago and he was extremely warm and helpful in making sure we had access to all the features we needed and more. He even set up a call for later to go through what we needed to do to take advantage of their customer dashboard templates. He took the time out of his day for us even though he has other larger clients; we weren't even one of his accounts. I'd highly recommend them to any company looking to expand and scale their subscription offerings. We've been able to scale our business tremendously using Recharge. They do not offer phone support which is critical for quick turn around on customer issues. Even through email, it can be a full day or 2 before you hear an answer. But this has improved dramatically over the last year. Right around the same time they hired a new Director of Customer Success, whom I had the privilege of meeting. He was very open to suggestions. No questions there and no doubts. They're improving and any shortcomings are bearable. Their team is easy to get along with if you're ever able to attend an event. We used to create subscription orders manually, recording their order info, place it in a file cabinet labeled by day of the month and each day pull whatever orders need to be processed that day and go through one by one. We're able to process charges quickly, automatically, and easily. We're given great insight into customer purchase behavior and trends that really help us make better decisions for our customers. It is easy to pull up customer's account using name and email address. You will be able to see the subscription of a customer, edit and cancel it. It can be VERY confusing. Setting up which items you would like to be eligible for recharge is not so bad, but if you’re doing a subscription — creating multiple items for different sizes and interests gets really confusing. Also be aware when cancelling subscriptions or orders that have already went through, you will most likely have to cancel them on multiple apps like smile.io.
