The small in size installation file comes very handy when it comes to org-wide installations

Remote Assisting and Remote controlling made very much more manageable with VNC. You don't have to visit the remote location physically. Everything can be done through this.

**What do you like best about RealVNC?**

Interoperability is key for me. Our environment conists of Windows, macOS and Fedora/Ubuntu linux. VNC Connect is literally the only tool we found (and we tried loads) that works seamlessly for connecting to all of our estate. It's difficult to overstate how good that is for Linux workstations in partciular.

It's fast, too. It connects near instantly, can authenticate using a Windows domain or local Windows, macOS or Linux user and has all the options we needed for notifying users when we're connected/disconnected.

I challenge anyone to find a better standalone remote support tool.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

When initially setting up on Linux, guidance around requirements was a little light / hard to find. If you're planning to use it on Linux, you'll need to disable Wayland (easily googled) before connectivity works.

Remote support, training and on-boarding in our new remote-first world.

**What do you like best about RealVNC?**

VNC Connect is a solid remote support device used by my people. As our group is small and we also support many individuals, we use remote care alternatives as much as possible. We use it for remote, internal and external troubleshooting, and the item's functions are reliable. In addition, we use it in our audiovisual events to manage presentation laptops. This allows us to remain invisible and assist presenters with their presentations from another location in the back of the area.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

VNC Connect works as well as the main items on the market. At the time, VNC Connect was more valued, in addition to providing us with an easy and reliable tool. VNC Connect works well on several platforms, which is very important for our institute. Cross-platform reliability is crucial to our environment, and that made us the choice.

The program works very well internally, through a wireless or wired connection. This can be useful when we assist speakers at board meetings or connect to a desktop for remote support. The item is merely reliable. We use it for large events in large spaces with countless people and we don't worry. Like any type of remote support tool, it also depends on network connectivity.

VNC Connect is a remote access application that allows you to maintain connection with both senior managers of the company, as with those responsible for IT services, service providers and others, this is a very useful application for any type of company as it provides assisted access with unique file transfer as it has an encrypted security system that is independent of each company you want to run and works with this application either inside or outside the company, also works for any type of staff training through the use of screen and multiple interconnections without the need for physical contact

Beyond the advantages that this application has, there are always functions that cause us headaches in this case where we are greater deficit in handling this application is that as a remote management application does not have a specific function that is responsible for turning on the computers, which forces us as an organization to keep the computers on to have access at any time, generating a greater expense

**What do you like best about RealVNC?**

I was looking for a long time for something that would be simple to set up and use and would not cost a fortune. My client needed help with his computer and every time something went wrong, he was paying $100 to get a tech to come out and show him things. Now I can log in and show him how to fix his computer or just do it myself.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

Initially, my only issue was that I couldn't connect to my computers if they had shut off. I needed a way to wake them. I solved this by just leaving my computer on and having only the monitor shut down.

This is a great solution for distance management or IT support.

I've been able to offer 24/7 IT support. It's been a great way to avoid costly visits from outside vendors - especially those that don't understand MAC computers.

**What do you like best about RealVNC?**

VNCConnet is very reliable application which is capable of handling multi tasking. I can easily transfer the files across many desktops at the same time. I can easily assist my team member for any guidance regarding the desktop operation. It is very convenient for me to carry out conversation with them which gives a real time experience. Also at the time of the need I can easily print out any document without interrupting the workflow.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

It does not provide an offline access, this really causes trouble when I am at certain part of the world with poor internet connection, thus this cause restriction about its freedom of usage.

It is quality composed and cost controlled solution for your organization. It will provide most advanced and effective services, even I am impressed because of its services. I will like to suggest those people who want an effective screen sharing program.

It is very secure application to initiate on the desktops, it offers multi factor identification and provides full control over the system. **What do you like best about RealVNC?**

RealVNC met our solutions for remote connection. We had the fluidity of connecting with both online and offline LAN computers. The amazing way you can export your address book so that clients can have simple import functionality and connection. Also, how you can control admin and user functionalities is simple and easy. 

RealVNC sales team is supportive throughout the whole process and helpful even after purchasing ensuring you get the right service until the end.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

Not too many dislikes but one was, we had a trial license running to test, once we wanted to go through and complete the purchase we had to go through all the computers and reup each one.  Also, connecting to the VNC licenses login via an RDP is not just a double click, you must jump through some hoops to get there but you eventually do. But all of these were easily fixed and just more irritating issues.

**What problems is RealVNC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

RealVNC solves the option of multiple users able to login to a server to connect and check programming and not being kicked out like other programs, i.e. RDP. The benefits are the easy of rolling out these connections and being scalable depending on each operator.

**What do you like best about RealVNC?**

VNC is easy to use and to install.  It's fast and reliable. Worth every penny. I would recommand without hesitation.  Truly a joy to use. It took us a while to find a solution that worked for our set-up but once we found VNC, it was a great choice.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

It would be great if cost was lower.  Because of cost, you have to use it strategically. If you do not think through properly about your intended use, the upfront costs can be high. However, with proper planning, we were able to mitigate our costs by using the software in the right ressources. We are hoping to recoup our costs quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering RealVNC:**

It really depends on your intented use.  For us, the key issue was to enable remote access to a couple of virtual machines to employees in a manner that was easy for them to install on their end.  We tried a couple of solutions but VNC was the one with the fastest connection and response time once connected.  It was also the most reliable in term of connection. The ability to choose the level of the software needed is good.

We use it for remote access to resources for occasional workers and subcontractors. It made the life of our team easier to use virtual machines.  It will also help lower our IT costs in the long run. Using VNC and virtual machines actually facilitated our security set-up for remote workers.

I am a satisfies customer of VNC Connect that has reduced the amount of time and saved my energy that was utilized in manually checking the desktop functionality and it was very much difficult for me to handle the numerous complaints regarding the fixation of certain applications and the entire department was in troublesome position. But thanks to VNC Connect that has enabled me to connect with so many desktops in a same time and I can easily assist any of the team member.

Its purchasing is not an easy task you have to follow various steps and its licensing policies are not reliable too. Moreover I am having effective services.

It is very reliable and easy to use. We can able to solve the issues from the team mates remotely. we can able to share the files through this very easily. Totally it is met maximum requirements for working remotely.

You have the option to chat in real time with your team and share your screen with them. Everyone can log in remotely with just a subscription. You can share project progress in real time, either in the cloud or on the web. It contains a high level of security as it provides several password authentication options. It has a qualified technical support to help you all with our connections. It is possible to make use of printers that are in other sites since it has the option of being able to print remotely

The program forces you to have a fast internet connection, when there are speed problems the connection is very bad and even more when there are different users connected at the same time. The price could be a little cheaper, but anyway it has a free trial that includes all the functions.

**What do you like best about RealVNC?**

This version of VNC has been a collective blessing in our company. It has allowed us to provide the required support at the appropriate time.

I like it because it is very lightweight, both the installation package and the functions are the most practical for connecting remotely with any computer, even if it is in sleep mode.

Additionally, files can be shared quickly, depending on the connection.

The video configuration customization is very good and speed is gained.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

What I don't like about this program is that it doesn't allow maintaining the connection with the computer if a restart is performed in safe mode.

From time to time, logging in with this mode is essential to solve situations that require a change through the Windows registry editor, but if we are remote, the task becomes difficult, and every time we have to bring the equipment to the main office since VNC Connect does not support this type of connection.

Another negative point is that it doesn't have a chat to describe a solution to the user; we always have to resort to the Windows notepad to leave a message.

This version of VNC is paid, so you must consider the number of devices to which you will give remote access and evaluate the costs involved. But what I can assure you is that it is worth it.

It provides password protection to prevent unauthorized users from attempting to gain access through a computer or other device which has an option that allows you to have a password to view the remote form from which devices are attempting to enter, allowing you to add an additional level of security to help make your account in the software more secure. It also allows you to transfer files that you may need to work on your financial statements and corporate tax returns or other reports that you want to transfer which is a very fast process and transfers everything in a very easy way.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

Its software interface is a bit old-fashioned as it is usually a bit slow and does not process the browser well at times as it does not respond or is often dropped, it can be updated and will appear to be a modern interface but it is not clear if it can improve a little but is still slow and sometimes does not tend to grab even on mobile devices and falls completely and does not open later for a while.

I recommend this software because it offers you an excellent service for the protection of your account password. If they try to access, this application will find out from where they want to enter a computer remotely and will put more security in your account to not allow them to enter it which will offer you more peace of mind because you will not have to worry about them wanting to damage your account or to see your personal information of your customers or your company.

**What do you like best about RealVNC?**

It is an excellent system that allows you to access other computers to perform tasks remotely. VNC is a fast way to manage the visuality of remote machines, they can be connected in lan through a local server and also they can be configured in internet using the VNC server. the variety of the VNC servers has a very strict tool of enterprise level which when you need it will bring flexibility of use. this server has very good service because the videos are updated quickly and are high quality images.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

I usually have problems with their password systems since I have to set several passwords to be able to try to access the computers remotely. Their cost is expensive since they have several plans registered that are not very beneficial and the time they propose is very little at the price they offer. I also usually have problems with the mouse and keyboard that do not respond or often fall on the VNC server.

I recommend this software because it is a completely powerful tool for instant remote access in your company. If you need this software to remotely examine the workstation or servers, this system includes those requirements which focuses quite well on that purpose. This software is a very flexible and easy to use remote access support to connect to other networks in a secure and feasible way.

I commonly use this software to set up a special system for booting a computer through a mobile device as a key to being able to get mobile devices to handle the computers and not necessarily having to purchase a computer. I also use it for remote access solutions for websites as they often crash or don't respond due to their platform. I have used it as a software to connect remotely from other networks.

It brings together all the necessary tools on a single platform to work remotely. VNC Connect technology improves the speed of the network, so that the software remains stable even in times of poor Internet signal. Deployment services work stably with the web and in the cloud. It is compatible with virtually any operating system on the market. If you subscribe to the Enterprise option, you can deploy the software offline and collectively. The price is fair and still cheap compared to similar software such as Team Viewer

In remote assistance there is no function to conduct computer surveys, and comments are not enabled for use. It does not have a diagnostic tool. Sometimes there are problems closing the application when it is opened from a Mac OS

It would be good if the port was released, so that the program can be as transparent as possible. The process of connecting machines can take a long time as they ask for many passwords. The security they provide is understandable, but it can be exhausting

Cross-platform support and mobile apps. All of my remote management solutions in one place, regardless of the OS or device.  Also the trust in RealVNC as a secure solution. Security for remote access is crucial and there are some very unsavory platforms out there.

Limited plan options but not a deal breaker. The available plans are either too limited or too big for my small business needs.  I could use a few more accounts but not enough to step up to the next tier. I’ve found ways to make it work since I am the primary admin.  The pricing is very fair and I would seriously consider the next level, I just simply don’t need that many licenses now.

Always able to access any of my servers or workstations. Can control powerful render systems from my phone at the park. Able to pull up projects for clients and even modify them from any location. I use this software because it is very easy to administer and implement, so no experience or training is needed to use it properly. It has cloud connectivity and the option to transfer print files and chats. It offers secure remote access that provides workers with the resources they need for optimal use. You can control several devices if you have the paid version

This software takes away the opportunity to open the account on another PC, since there will be no possibility to use the workstation previously used by you. The platform asks you for too many passwords to use the machines on the computer and can also be complicated to use the option to work remotely. Some problems may occur while trying to log in to the server. If you only use a free account, you can only use limited devices

I tried a couple remote work clients during the work-from-home period related to COVID-19.  This one worked well, and was reasonably priced.  I appreciated that it wasn't filled with a bunch of spammy-looking features and reasonable security (blank remote screen,  lock desktop when last client disconnects) were obvious and easy to configure.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

Honestly, nothing.  It's fairly priced and does what I ask.  There's even free personal use plans.  I guess the file transfer is  little awkward to access (have to remember where to initiate the transfer, and it's a couple more clicks to find.  But it works, and I use other methods to synch commonly shared files (OneDrive).

Almost no technical knowledge is needed. Setup is a blaze on LINUX and CHROMEOS even. Windows of course not a problem also. Cross platform was my personal key of choice.

The best thing about VNC is that it is really multiplatform, I used it to connect Windows or Windows to Linux. Multiplatform use is unbelievable. I also like support for small details such as copying passwords, small doc, information and details from my computer to a remote computer, remote and transparent printers are also offered.

RealVNC is able to decorate your user interface, making it much easier to work with. I would also like to understand what are the security options when getting access from home and whether encryption is really good enough.

The major use has been to connect to laboratory computers to check on experiment status and transfer files from remote locations.   COVID-19 solidified the value of having good remote connection software.   Real VNC offers attractive licensing costs for our situation.   So far the process has been straightforward and the software works as promised.

The remote support does not have diagnostic tools, when you try to drag a file to transfer it between the display application and the desktop throws an error I would like them to accommodate this problem, the configuration of the application on phones can be tedious, does not have an option to view multiple screens on a single server would be quite useful to integrate this option and the remote desktop does not have a troubleshooter.

The ease of managment of client machines. You can eaisly group the machines in the control software and provide certain people access to only a certain group of machines.  There is alos a nice challenge and reponse system to help the client be more confidant in that the person tehy are speacking to is the one about to take over thier system.  Once a connection has been made the link is very stable and responsive even running over a 3g mobile connection.

Real VNC works period, especially with legacy machines... which the more modern softwares like AnyDesk or Teamviewer do not!

VNC has been around and has not to my knowledge been implemented in the capacity Teamviewer or AnyDesk has. Whereas the other two have much nicer interfaces and work out of the box with any “modern” computer VNC requires a bit of legwork to get up and running and employees who aren’t technically savvy with have difficulty using it right away or require assistance with setup.

**Recommendations to others considering RealVNC:**

While VNC Connect (RealVNC) is great for connections to legacy computers running older operating systems or specialized OS’, it’s not for the average user and not super friendly in consideration to employees who aren’t technically savvy. For instance, asking someone with no knowledge of IP addresses or what operating system they are running to set up and use this software to work from home is just not going to work... as a matter of fact if they didn’t set up VNC on their host and client computer to start it’s already too late. Something like Teamviewer or AnyDesk requires no IT knowledge and is plug and play with modern computers with polished user interfaces that are easy to use.

I love the ease of use.  I found it super simple setup remote access to my RaspberryPi from both my PC and my Mac.  Like less than 10 minutes simple.  The hardest part of the experience was remembering my password.

I don't know that there is a downside.  Perhaps if there were it would be the cost, but even that is mitigated by the time saved using RealVNC.

**What do you like best about RealVNC?**

I use RealVNC to connect two home computers to two work computers so I can work from home easily when needed.  One is a Mac, and one is Linux.  The Mac support is very good, and I can view my laptop screen plus 2 connected monitors remotely, and it looks so similar I can barely tell it's remote.  Linux support is almost as good, but full screen across two monitors doesn't work, so I manually position the window across both monitors each time I connect.  What I like best is how easy it is to connect and how reliable the connection is.  I've been using this setup for months and haven't had any problems.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

The biggest disadvantage is that audio is not supported between the connected computers, so I can't take a WebEx call using my remote laptop, unless I call in using a phone instead of the remote computer's audio.  A second disadvantage may be fixable with a configuration setting: when my Mac laptop goes into screensaver mode from lack of use, the connection is broken.  It's easy to restart, so it's not a big problem, but is a minor annoyance.

**Recommendations to others considering RealVNC:**

RealVNC is much  cheaper than TeamViewer or LogMeIn and supports Windows, Mac, and Linux.

**What problems is RealVNC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can access my work computers from home or while traveling.  That has been very helpful because I sometimes need to do extra work in the evenings or on weekends.

VNC makes it almost seamless to connect to my workstation. It is a lifesaver, enabling me to be productive in the times of COVID. One time, I accidentally put my workstation to sleep. I was terrified that I have to physically push the power button to bring it out of sleep but with VNC, I could reconnect without the hassle of physically accessing to the workstation.

File transfer could be simpler not that it's complicated now.

I would highly recommend VNC Connect. It is relatively easy to set up. I have been using it for about six weeks now without any problems. There doesn't seem to be any lag when using VNC Connect.

It was a little unclear as to what password they were looking for  in the final setup.

**Recommendations to others considering RealVNC:**

I would recommend doing research as I did. I think your conclusion will be to go with VNC Connect.

I have not had any problems with VNC Connect. I am using VNC Connect to connect my Windows 10 home PC to my desktop Mac at work. I couldn't be happier.

If you need work from home for employees requiring complex PC setups this allows the employee to use a lower end system as a remote terminal.

VNC has been particularly helpful for work from home employees  with little experience in remote work. Our CAD specialists have been able to continue working without having to setup full CAD machines at their homes. VNC onnect easily spans monitors and keeps the information in house to the companies HQ.

We are able to connect to employees that aren't in the office and fix issues they may be having.  They also have to let us on to the system, so there is no concern of someone potentially unauthorized accessing their devices.

We have not found anything that we immediately dislike.  All of the features that we needed have been readily available to us.

**What problems is RealVNC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping remote workers, workers who are unable to connect to our VPN or Citrix to utilize their remote access options. This has been an absolute necessity with most of our employees working from home during the Covid 19.

VNC Connect a very good and stable product.

VNC connect can be integrated easily in a big infrastructure to remote access to large number of computers.

I use VNC for a while and always satisfy of the stability of product.

Works in different platform you can use it in a mix of platform. thats a good point.

The big difference between this product and others is the SSL support to encrypt the transmission of data. That's a very good point to keep the integrity of the security.

The product can be used in different ways.

VNC connect can be deployed to manage computers, upgrade software and systems.
It can be used by each user to access to their computers across internet  with a maximum security

The only difficulty it's the integration with Windows Defender in Windows 10. A firewall rule must be implemented to open the autorisation to use VNC Connect with the remote computer.

Once the implementation is ok, all works properly.

The implementation of file transfer is a good option.

I know that you have a lot of new services with the product but I didn't the occasion to use them.

I think that the two most important things are : security and stability if i can resume the powerful of VNC Connect.

Multiple users can be granted access to specific servers/PCs using email and two-factor authentication. Up and running the same day!

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

Only the original purchaser is allowed to implement administration. This caused a little bit of complication since the purchaser was not going to be implementing or accessing the software or remote equipment.

**Recommendations to others considering RealVNC:**

Very reasonable licensing. In our case we only needed one server license, for the machine we were using to monitor the equipment. This allows us all the user installs of VNC Viewer we need.

**What problems is RealVNC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needed access to cooling system equipment monitoring installation for mechanical contractor and system monitoring personnel. This allows us to assign specific personnel access privileges to the monitoring equipment. We use 2 factor along with email and password security. Works exceptionally well and is very easy to implelement.

Once in a while there is a slow down like a 'ripple effect' but I'm not sure if that's the internet or the program.

**What do you like best about RealVNC?**

I work in the semiconductor industry and we are able to control the master software from home or a different room outside the cleanroom, without going through the hassle of gowning in or going to the fab on the weekends.

**What do you dislike about RealVNC?**

There is no way to see who is doing what, and sometimes when teams are fighting over control of the machine it gets quite hectic. It would be good for an admin to have control over who has viewing and who has control rights at the moment, instead of just a password and self-controlled view only vs control mode.

**What problems is RealVNC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Too many users at once and not being able to have control. We have had to change the password to kick people out, but in consequence the hardcoded password to some softwares affected our system, and therefore we had to change our password back.
