I've been using RealVNC for over 3.5 years (since start of the pandemic), and I am amazed that it really has never given me a single issue. That is truly something to say. The software allows me to securely connect to my clients to provide support wherever I may be, either through an internet-connected PC or even through my cell phone. Occasionally when trying to connect to a client for support, I will get an error stating that the client is not accepting connections at the moment, or I will be greeted with a completely black screen. VNC allows me freedom to provide support for my clients even if I'm away from my desk. The response time and video quality are excellent. I can utilise it to conduct real-time video editing from a distant connection, which is my primary purpose. They should make audio compatible with Macs, I wish. They said they were working on it, but for the time being, we can route audio through Skype in a way that works for us. What do you dislike about RealVNC? - This remote access software is not authorized in most companies because of its insecure nature and especially because of its shared password design. - The remote images are of very low quality. - I have faced some disconnection problems while working on my Raspberry Pi remotely. - sometimes it is slow while trying to run a program on another devvice remotely. - Connections are not encrypted, and this software is used in systems that don't need compliant, secure connections. It is nice if its connectivity can be imporved somehow. -It would be nicer if it can be improved to be faster while running programs. - It is better to have encrypted and more secure connections to improve the security of this software.
