**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Read&Write?**

The Ux of the tool is excellent, and the use itself is convenient. It does not through unnecessary adds within the service, which is fantastic. The routine work can be easily performed in this. It is suitable for beginners & moderate users specifically.

**What do you dislike about Read&Write?**

I have not tried the big files as I was afraid about the security part of it. The bandwidth could have been better. However, they must be working on this part as well I suppose.

**What problems is Read&Write solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the routine jobs for us and can be done very quickly. It helps us to identify our issues in reading & writing skills which helps to improve the class. It is more benefiting to those who are struggling with their work, which could be beginners or moderate users.

  ### 3. Reading and writing support when you need it

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Read&Write?**

I was already using a writing tool and figured Read&Write would be similar to it. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it acts as a layer on top of my current writing tools with so many different features. I primarily use the Chrome plug-in and it's been very useful in organizing what I'm reading online. I can highlight sentences, it helps with quick definitions, or when working in Google Docs, I can have my documents read back to me. Would I say it's necessary for me? Not really, but it's definitely helpful. I see the value it brings to those with learning disabilities or who are neurodivergent so they have the flexibility to learn, read, and write, however, works best for them. No one is limited to just one way of reading or writing, you have the support of other methods through this tool.

**What do you dislike about Read&Write?**

Sometimes the chrome plugin bugs out, but the support team is extremely helpful in getting it back working when you reach back out. Seems like there are constant patches for it.

**What problems is Read&Write solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a clearer way to digesting information, text, articles, etc. It pairs nicely with my writing tool so I'm getting the best of both worlds when it comes to reading, writing, and comprehension.

The text correction feature works well.

**What do you dislike about Read&Write?**

It will be great if they can provide a mobile application. Otherwise, everything is fine for me.

**What problems is Read&Write solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As my first language was Hindi, I used it for text correction and pronunciation.

  ### 6. Read & Write - Gets the job done

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jes S. | Adult Basic Education/GED Instructor, Primary/Secondary Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Read&Write?**

Read & Write is an add on you can use with Chrome. It allows you to have whatever is on your screen read aloud or to have whatever you're dictating typed out for you.

**What do you dislike about Read&Write?**

Some of the features don't work well with certain operating systems. The updates are inconsistent/slow and some sites do not have full functionality. Several students have utilized this, but only some have found it helpful.

**What problems is Read&Write solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this for students who struggle with reading and writing. When we were doing all school virtually, it came in handy quite a bit. For someone who cannot type or who has suffered an injury, the dictation component is helpful.

  ### 7. It's ok, but meh

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Read&Write?**

I like that it reads the text to the students like the old Kursweil. It's easy to use and navigate. Word prediction is helpful for creating independence and student ownership.

**What do you dislike about Read&Write?**

The text to speech never seems to work correctly. It's either grossly miscommunicated or catches background speech instead of that of the student. This tool needs help!

**What problems is Read&Write solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps students meet goals and growth targets by giving them the tools that they need for success. It also helps teachers who have large groups meet all needs of every student.

This good but expensive it will help those struggling.

It has helped with many documents in the organization. It ha helped many disabled individuals within the organization overcome their fears and boost there confidence about their disability.

  ### 9. Read & Write - One Stop Shop

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott K. | Special Education Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Read&Write?**

I love read and write in a school setting. It allows all my students to be able to use their computer for accessing websites and other programs with a read-aloud function. This read aloud for websites allows students at a lower reading level to gain access to websites and programs they may not have had access to in the past. Students have so many tools at their fingertips with Read&Write. They can make vocabulary lists which are automatically exported into a document with definitions, pictures and room for notes. It is a wonderfully adaptive program for students of all needs.

**What do you dislike about Read&Write?**

The only downside is that there is a steep learning curve. There are a lot of settings that feel somewhat buried, however since most of these settings don't need to be toggled, it isn't the end of the world.

**Recommendations to others considering Read&Write:**

Give Read&Write a shot. You will not be disappointed!

**What problems is Read&Write solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to have students of all abilities access and work on the internet in ways they haven't been able to do before. I've noticed a more productive learning environment and less downtime with students in general.

  ### 10. Not worth the effort unless you really need it

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chloe' H. | Graduate Research Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Read&Write?**

I like that it runs in the background to constantly help out those who are needing help. I also like that it has a bar at the top of the screen to fully show you the available options.

**What do you dislike about Read&Write?**

It was very difficult to download and understand exactly what the idea of the program was. I also don't like that their wasn't an overall tutorial at the beginning of the program. I didn't realize the main point of the program when I downloaded it and now I only find it a nuisance.

**Recommendations to others considering Read&Write:**

Only download this product if you have deficits in the area of online communication.

**What problems is Read&Write solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, I use this program to just help with my communication skills over the internet, via email, etc. I haven't realized very many benefits to this program. I think that I am just as well without it.

  ### 11. Brilliant dyslexia support

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Read&Write?**

The large range of features allows for a range of dyslexia and associated difficulties to be supported

**What do you dislike about Read&Write?**

I personally found understanding how to tailor it to best fit me was somewhat difficult, that said the actual process involved in each setting was straight forward and supported.

**Recommendations to others considering Read&Write:**

I found other software to be ultimately more suited to my needs however it was excellent for what I was using it for at the time.

**What problems is Read&Write solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I struggled [particualy with spelling and editing and found that this program was an excellent support.

  ### 12. A wonderful way to learn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** María Fernanda E. | Freelance Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Read&Write?**

Many of our projects are aimed at low-income children's education, so we decided to try this application, which, according to our point of view, is great. The program reads the content chosen by us, has a dictionary of words and images, serves to perform reading practices aloud and can underline words, among other things. It really is a program that allows you to reinforce reading and learning in general.

**What do you dislike about Read&Write?**

When the Internet is slow the program stops, the reading is paused. Apart from that it is a wonderful program and the children love it.

**Recommendations to others considering Read&Write:**

If reinforcement and teaching are found among your business activities, this program will be very useful since it contains a series of tools that will allow you to read a text, search for words, meanings, images, and translation. It's excellent.

**What problems is Read&Write solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has a great receptivity on the part of children, since it is something new, interesting and in turn allows them to learn in a different way. On the other hand it is a program that can be accessed later to reinforce their learning and interact with teachers.

Read&wrie is a great product - it helps people with disabilities as well as people who just want to use the awesome features. the picture dictionary is great as well as the vocabulary builder.

**What problems is Read&Write solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT is able to read the text to people who need assistance and it can also do the voice to text to help people with disabilities.
