Being able to see details of crashes when reported by users.

  ### 4. Raygun Daily Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tarun R. | Backend Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Raygun is best error monitoring tool used by software developers, which help them to solve the errors in their website and monitor their app performance, it provides the time and place of error in error details which give clarity of these bugs which occur are client-side, which we can't capture if we are not using an error monitoring tool. Raygun provides the best industry experience to their user.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

It has not improved a lot in past, its growth is somewhat stagnant. There should be more improvement we need to see in this tool which can improve this product a lot. There are many areas of development for raygun like more details in error capture, giving more variables in the performance reports and many others.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using raygun daily for bug monitoring on the client-side so they don't have any bad user experience, then we find those issues fix them, and again check in raygun reports if they are occurring again or not. Weekly we check the web app performance that how it is holding up against the increasing or decreasing traffic of users.

  ### 5. Very useful tool

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

Sometimes the event grouping does not work exactly as expected but that could be user error.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 7. I love the confidence Raygun gives me that our SaaS application is given users a good experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris J. | Co-Founder, Co-Host, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

I love being able to trace users experience in our app from their browser performance all the way to problems that occur on the server side. We use Raygun to assist us triggering our on-call engineering team when we see issues arising in our applications using the integration with PagerDuty. Our support team can also look up a specific user and see their history of use, any errors they encountered and the performance they experienced. Its really helpful when tracking down environmental issues like what browser version they are using. Additionally we have components of our software that our customers deploy into their own environment and we use Raygun to monitor and alert us to any issues that arise there too.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

The cost, however when looked at all up it pays for itself. We would also like to see richer rules on when to trigger integrations.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

Start early. Don't wait until you have written and shipped your app and experienced problems before you start using Raygun.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Performance of our apps in users browsers & server side errors. Being able to get insights into errors occurring in our app and being able to trigger other services, like PagerDuty, when issues occur saves us a lot of fear.

  ### 8. The performance's swissknife

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yannick G. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

It's such simple to use, the results are perfectly presented and we can take immediate actions. The solution is not only an APM but a crash report and a perfect real time monitoring tool. This help a lot when a high traffic is present over our infrastructure and monitorize it from anywhere and taking the immediate actions when needed.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

The price jump by 20x inner a month who force us to replace it by an other product. Really a shame because the features are there.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

It's lovely to can collect informations server-side but client-side as well.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Raygun help us to fix the issues before that anyone is aware of it. It improve the quality of the development we deliver and the stability of our infrastructure.

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Let's our team efficiently troubleshoot issues on the fly to help us deliver the best customer service we can.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

If you are looking for a Solid Bug reporting tool, Raygun Bug tracking is the best I've used.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Live troubleshooting of cloud database issues and Increases productivity immensely for our team.

  ### 10. Excellent experience. Resolve issues before you hear about them!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam J. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Before we had raygun, we would receive several emails telling us about issues that were lacking in detail so it took several emails back and forth to even diagnose the issue before we could even think about fixing it. Now, we are alerted as soon as an error occurs and we can be working on the fix before a user even contacts us about it. It has been a game-changer.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

There really isn't much in terms of downside. As long as you set things up properly, which is fairly straightforward, you should have no major issues. It has been a great experience. It's hard to believe we ever functioned without raygun.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

Do it. Just do it.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are resolving many issues that users are having with submitting answers or with our login process. There were a few significant bugs that caused issues early on in the on-boarding process that have been easily resolved with the information provided by Raygun.

  ### 11. Amazing tool but could be improved

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Analytics about error frequency are pretty good and give good insights. That is the tool we usually use the most. so that we understand not only what is happening but also how frequently and who is being impacted by that.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

Error grouping is sometimes inaccurate leading to missed errors. We rely on slack notifications to be aware of any issue and we sometimes get notifications lacking context, some others with names of past errors so you have to go top the actual error to see if it is a duplicate or not. That led us to stop relying on notifications and having to go to the platform to check errors, which is time-consuming and hard to keep track of which errors we have already acknowledged.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

Amazing tool to keep track of errors, but don't rely on their grouping too much. Not to many options to customize reporting.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Raygun to keep track of all problems found in several systems we have in production. Finding runtime errors and exceptions. Finding which users are having which issues and how frequently are they happening. Triaging error severity and impact as soon as possible. Setting a notification system to acknowledge errors and take action as soon as possible. We also use raygun to keep track of historical data related to errors to measure system quality over its lifetime. We also use raygun to keep track of historical data related to errors to measure system quality over its lifetime, and see which are the parts of the system that are more error prone and need special considerations when being worked on

  ### 12. Good tool to monitoring your apps

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan M. F. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

The capability to track real users in a real environment. The breadcrumb feature is really nice and the alerts when an error appears in a short time allow you to react immediately.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

The reporting tool can be a bit short in some situations.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had problems monitoring real users in production environments and RayGun solved this problem allowing us to detect errors and its context. This capability has helped to reduce the number of incidences in our customer service and to improve the software quality.

  ### 13. Using Raygun we started to track better all the issues that was happening under the carpet.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas L. | Software Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

The entire HTTP request information and the entire stacktrace

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

For Windows Services misses the which is the name of Windows Service (the information of the .dll or .exe that is sending the report). Could also have some kind of shortcut to build a CURL request to allow the developer to simulate the same request without needing to copy manually to POSTMAN or CURL.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

The best cost vs benefits.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hidden or non-tracked exceptions that were happening before and we couldn't track before Raygun. The most benefit is getting the maximum data of request to simulate the request.

  ### 14. Uncomplicated error logging for applications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim G. | CIO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

We are running on a non-standard framework and yet I was able to easily integrate the Raygun service with error logging in my app stack.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

Some errors are not easily debugged - the stack traces seem to show more about the Raygun SDK than the application.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

The pricepoint is cheap enough to pull the trigger - gain visibility and set up some dashboards.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using Raygun we have unified our app stack error reporting combining mobile app, web app (JS) ,and server side into a single dashboard.

  ### 15. Raygun

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Live error tracking of our website, user tracking

Login can be a bit clunky and then following to the lined error report

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Live error tracking, and the ability to track errors of our users

  ### 16. Great app for troubleshooting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

It's very easy to search and narrow down what you are looking for. If I'm troubleshooting something in real time, the errors bubble up to the top and are very easy to find as well.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

If the same error has occurred across different users or other log sources, it aggregates the errors into one instance, which can make it a little more difficult to find the exact instance

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Raygun to troubleshoot application errors. It has helped us to identify when there are bugs to fix or configuration errors that need to be corrected. It has simplified our troubleshooting process and decreased the amount of time to resolve issues for our end users

  ### 17. Raygun simplified error tracking and fixing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

The easy way in wich my team and I can track the issues of s certain proyectos, owner of the issue andcomment how it was solved

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

In slack integration We have turn off the repeat error Option but with airflow it still throws repeated issues

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

Go for it is easy to add to other software.
Easy to use less tha 1 hour and is set up.
integrate it with slack for easy error tracking
use the integrated Slack buttons to quickly solve and keep up the metrics
use diferent projects for diferent software, dont mix up your statistics

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Error tracking made simple for data pipelined

  ### 18. Good entry-level tool for site monitoring, but hasn't grown to meet our growing business's needs.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Easy interface and set up. Good high-level dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

Updates are rare and slow to come. Team doesn't look at the feature request board and openly pushes back on requests -- one example about user defining the health score criteria.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowing the overall number of users on the site and response time.

  ### 19. It's a great tool for real time error reporting.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dina B. | Senior software engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

It is easy to query for application errors.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

It doesn't fully support serverless yet.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

It is a fantastic tool

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we initially launched our graphql stack, we had bunch of errors in our app. Raygun helped with pinpointing the exact error and allowing devs to prioritize and fix the issue quickly.

  ### 20. Great for keeping tabs on web apps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Crash reporting, loads of neat features that help heaps

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

Cost of real-time user monitoring, just not really affordable (for me at least)

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

Give it a go, could be right for you

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had some errors on a live version of a site that I could not replicate. With Raygun I can see what and when these problems arise, making it much easier to solve them.

  ### 21. I like that I can measure customer impact

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Our bug priorities depend on number of affected users

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

node.js grouping for errors may be more customization would be good
for example, sometimes I'm getting errors from third party so I can turn on grouping by error message, the problem is that sometimes I need to distinguish errors by message and stack trace. like database errors or errors from http requests

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

avoid too noisy slack notification channel

  ### 22. Solid Error reporting with a little room for improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Real-time reporting is critical, especially right after a release, where potentially the first few errors reported could have a severe impact.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

Sometimes it's challenging to figure out where the error is coming from in a minified script (e.g., "error at ? line 1, column 2669688").

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps solve errors that UTR locally, and because of this, it improves the end UX.

  ### 23. Raygun review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

The website is very easy to use. I am able to locate errors very efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

The down time that happens every so often. Specifically, if AWS goes down then Raygun goes down. It would be nice if they had a backup plan to never be down.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Software errors.

  ### 24. Great way to capture and review errors actually affecting your customers!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

The ability to search errors by userId to see if we captured a logged error for a given customer contacting us.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

It is easy to get into a situation where you are logging too much, and the reports may become noise.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Debugging customer reports, which are typically low on technical details.

  ### 25. Great Slack integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

I've found the Slack integration to be invaluable as the team has visibility on issues as they happen

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

Sometimes the alerts/notifications are too verbose for non-tech (CS/Support) users to parse without dev assistance

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of the stability of new features as they're introduced

  ### 26. Great tool for understanding and monitoring your applications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard P. | CTO - Region South, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

It's easy to do an initial setup, with additional features available with some additional configuration.
Raygun makes it easy to analyze performance, and to understand how users use my software - like a Google Analytics light combined with error reporting.

I mostly use the Crash Reporting and the User-tracking features. It's increadibly useful to be notified about an error and then have the option to contact all effected users before they contact me. Makes it very professional. I can also see everything in the users session - and is therefore able to recreate the error fully in development.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

I do think that it would be nice to have more options available for notifications. But that's probably mainly because I use email notifications. I could connect Raygun to pagerduty or something to have more options.

There are many integrations available, but I would like to have more features in some of them. Example: the integration with Azure DevOps is nice, it can help you create bugs from error reports in Raygun. But the synk is one way - it would be nice to have Raygun pull information back from the issue (like when it is resolved, and what release it is fixed in).

The pricing is fair, but a bit hard to estimate and understand. I can see that it makes sense though, I pay for things that increases cost for Raygun.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using Raygun to detect craches and errors in my applications, and to be able to act on those in an efficient way.

  ### 27. Accessible error messages for developers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karim S. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Integration with Slack is very helpful, allows for instant feedback

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

The dashboard is a little unclear, in terms of navigating and finding related errors

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instant error notifications in test and production environments. Allows for quick bugfixes

  ### 28. Great insights about performance and bugs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Real time monitoring, breadcrumbs on errors.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

Thanks to Raygun I can measure performance (actually is one of our key metrics every quarter)

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Easy to install and easy to configure logging tool for .NET applications. User-friendly Raygun website and debugging tools.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

Nothing really. Maybe would be nice to have Azure AD SSO authentication integration for enterprise users.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Raygun is beneficial for exception logging and monitoring for both prod and non-prod environments. Easy to see the details of each error, nicely group errors by type, and also to see historical data/statistics about the past errors.

  ### 31. Raygun Crash Reporting Expedient!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

  ### 33. Dev tooling like visibility in production

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** johannes p. | Head Of Software Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

The default analytics views that show application trends live and over a long historical period.
This is closely followed by the crash reporting management where one can assign issues, marg them as resolved and track if they re-appear in future releases. This has been one of the most affective features in developing a devops mindset within the delivery team.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

This is no fault to raugun specifically, but we did not understand some the best practice guidance on how to leverage tagging and how to configure applications, hence we habe one Raygun application for each environemnt our applications are deployed to rather than tracking through the same Raygun application using environment tags, which is a great way to identify those knarly issues which only ever crop up in production :)

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

When running composit apps with multiple clients using the same backend make sure you consult with the raygun team on how you get corralation of backend issues with frontend issues, at the time of this review you could not use RUM in one raygun application with both a web client and mobile client together. Probably more a sign of switching to pure microservices as opposed to a distributed monolyth.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing what raygun measures and reports on has given us the baseline measures for sucess. Many of the KPI's are now included in the definition of done. We also see all the issues users are accepting and not reporting. This has given us amazing insights in how our application is performing and being used by our users in production. What has previously been assumptions and theories are now measurable facts.

  ### 34. Fantastic tool for error monitoring and more

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian R. | Internal Development Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

With Raygun it's easy to get right to the issues as they happen with the real time monitoring.
We use it in several languages and have found it so simple to see where any problems happen with a deployment.
It has also been extremely simple to get integrated into our applications, the developers have not found any issues with that.
The layout of the application is very good.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

I don't have any issues with Raygun, it does exactly what we need it to. The layout and general use of the product is great and I've never heard any of my staff complain about it.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

Raygun is simple to set up and use, and all of our developers find it a fantastic tool.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes problems happen with deployments, sometimes the automated tests don't cover all scenarios and we introduce issues, or encounter new ones from users. The benefits have been countless for our department. Sometimes with our A/B testing we can encounter issues and Raygun will help with this. We have always found that the community is able to help with integration or questions we may have about the product. Having used it for many years in different roles I have had in different companies I have found that the product does not have too many drastic changes to the UI or usage so it is a tool i am very happy with in a familiar way.

  ### 35. All the error tracking you need, no restrictions, easy to set up and get running

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nik W. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

You don't need to worry about reporting rates etc, Raygun will just accept everything your system can throw at it. The interface is very good, and useful for tracking down the exact piece of problematic code. We've got everything linked up with Github, Trello and Slack too which means we can create PRs to solve bugs, or Trello cards to track more detailed resolutions and we get notified immediately when something happens in Slack.

We have user tracking enabled too which means we can often reach out to a customer and tell them we've fixed an issue before they've even had a chance to email us! Hooks in quite easily with our custom app which is nice - we can report both the user specific information and their account information.

We're also using Raygun both across our Ruby and Javascript apps - it's quite nice to get all the error reporting in one place rather than having to use different software for both. The installation and setup was nice and easy too, all we had to do was add the gem or the NPM module and it was ready to go.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

It's relatively expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

Give it a go, make sure you do the full integration and try everything out rather than just the error tracking piece.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Error tracking and Application Performance Monitoring for two startups. We've seen faster time to diagnose errors or performance problems, and much more confidence deploying new code. You get line-by-line traces so you can look through and figure out exactly which line in your code is causing the problem. Super nice!

  ### 36. Efficiently alerts us of issues in our application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

The real-time notifications of client bugs and crashes are great. It allows us to view all pertinent info in a user friendly manner: machine name, and full error stack trace. This often allows us to reach out to users before they've even had the chance to contact us regarding their problem.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

We have not yet encountered any problems with Raygun. We use it for a few different applications, and it has met all of our needs to date.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The greatest benefit to us is that we can now often reach out to our clients regarding their issue/problem before they've even had the time to contact our support team. Our clients appreciate this proactive approach, which is possible due to Raygun's real-time crash notifications.

  ### 37. It's been a mostly positive experience so far.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

The error tracking and ability to view the stack trace. The ability to see which errors are the most critical to solve and prioritize our workload is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

Sometimes the titles of the error that comes in does not accurately represent the error that is shown after clicking the error. The title will say something completely different than what the actual error is, and it causes a lot of confusion at times.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

Integrate with Raygun during the early stages of development for the best results. When you get closer to having a production product and you're in the testing phases, you'll know that your product is in a good state when your Raygun dashboard isn't full of errors.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving everyday bugs that users experience with our product. Real-Time error tracking is very useful when some bugs slip through the cracks and make it into a production environment. It is also nice to use with staging environments.

  ### 38. Solid error reporting platform we've been using for years

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

We've set up a Slack integration to receive new error reports, which is a very convenient solution. Clicking an error link takes you to the Raygun platform, but you can also resolve or ignore it right away from Slack, which sometimes makes sense.

The platform does its job well; errors are grouped, you can search and filter by time, tags, user etc, the essentials are all there.
A neat feature is the "Permanently Ignore" function, which will prevent notifications from being sent about any new errors of that type, but Raygun still tracks them. Very useful to diagnose bugs that have little impact and are hard to identify – we can gather a lot of data without drowning in notifications.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

It's hard to come up with something. The essentials are all there. Perhaps more options to format errors that are sent to slack to present the information in an even more streamlined way.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

If you need error reporting, give it a try. Easy to set up in JavaScript and .NET, easy to integrate with Slack

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Near real-time error reports delivered right to slack, one step away from the Raygun platform where a lot more data is available.
Raygun notifies us if something is wrong and assists us in finding out the root cause and monitoring the situation.
We've been using it for years and it never let us down.

  ### 39. Easy to start and understand error reporting tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** P E. | Senior Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

Raygun is easy to setup in your application and you get meaningful error reporting from start. You can add your whole team to Raygun and you wont't be charged with additional costs, since it is not user based. You can add several applications to Raygun, we have split this up in frontend and backend and some additional smaller applications. This makes it easier to find specific errors and the slack integration will send those errors to specific channels on which the corresponding developers are subscribed.

Another nice feature is the "Permanently Ignore" button which lets you ignore some kind of errors if you are quite sure they are not real errors.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

The Slack integration is nice, but it would be cool if you kind of filter out which errors are sent to this integration.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are monitoring frontend and backend exceptions, which helps us to improve our product. We have already identified a lots of errors which we wouldn't have noticed if there wasn't Raygun.

  ### 40. Expensive, but worth the cost

Hard to understand sampling
Can be hard to wade through some noise

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

Good tool to know the nerve of your production services without login to production machine.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a microservice architecture which is being used by banking client. So, we cannot login in the prod. machine to check the error. With a Minimal configuration we can all code errors and easily can fix as well.

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

It indicates full technique name and its related class name in the mistake and is appeared inside a gathering. This gathering encourages me in settling all the comparative blunders without a moment's delay and look at the information for that specific case. It is a magnificent bug announcing device which helps in discovering bugs and mistakes in my application with complete stack follow subtleties to discover where precisely the blunder happened. It has some fabulous highlights like separating blunders utilizing variant number and date, constant notices through messages, contacting the influenced clients, and consistently gathering the mistakes to spare the time. It has visit room support too to send notices to other colleagues with respect to the issues. Its UI dashboard is really great and all highlights are accessible at a focal area.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

The security of the client remains an issue here as the area spot highlight is there in the application and some of the time I have seen some unrecognized and odd mistake messages which is a major issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

Check every one of the plans accessible before purchasing, they offer less cost for yearly membership. Since its combination is extremely basic and requires only two or three stages, I would unquestionably prescribe it to other people.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 50. Excellent error reporting tool to resolve bugs quickly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Slomo W. | Senior System Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2016

**What do you like best about Raygun?**

It is a wonderful bug reporting tool which helps in finding out bugs and errors in my app with complete stack trace details to find out where exactly the error occurred.
It shows full method name and its associated class name in the error and is shown within a group. This grouping helps me in resolving all the similar errors at once and examine the data for that particular instance.
It has the capability to get integrated with major frameworks and programming languages like .NET, Python, Node.js and Ruby from a single account.
From its dashboard, I can view how the error rates have been moving over time and I can get to know if the new version of my app is more stable than the previous one or not.

**What do you dislike about Raygun?**

It is not useful if you are experiencing more than 100 errors as the dashboard would not be much useful for debugging so many issues and the error logging will get stopped.

**Recommendations to others considering Raygun:**

Surely it meets my needs and requirements. But since it has a free trial period for 30 days, one can try it and experience the features themselves.

**What problems is Raygun solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best part is that I can customize which Emails are sent to me for notification about the errors and have full control on my mailbox as I don’t want to get flooded with emails notifying me even about the small bugs which are not really important to be resolved at that moment.
It also has an option to leave comments on individual errors so that other team members are aware about the status of that error and are auto-update about the progress on the error. The dashboard has various filters to keep the errors filtered through time span, error groups, active errors, resolved errors and more.
