RawTherapee does one thing and that one thing really well: develop RAW files out of your camera. If you are looking for fancy masking, image manipulation or blemish corrections you'll need to look elsewhere. RawTherapee is a complex tool and even though I've used it for years, it feels I'm only scratching the surface of its capabilities. It isn't for the casual photographer who wants to catalog and develop images - that's not what RawTherapee is for. Past versions experience occasional crashes, which were bothersome, but with its nondestructive editing, I've never lost an image being edited with RawTherappe - only the most recent corrections I was making.
