From a programmer's perspective, We upload an extract to Rave with all active students' and employees' emergency information. When the police station sends a notification, they use the list of people in the extract we create from the database.

From a user perspective, it's a great way to keep me informed of what's going on on or near our campuses. Whether it's weather alerts, or shootings or stabbings, we are informed through Rave Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This emergency alert system is used by our campus to send out alerts when the entire student body and faculty/staff need to be alerted to a situation.
