The way the tool was designed makes the whole focus on building powerful analytical models without worrying about specific points. As you build an analytical model and are faced with the need to perform some transformation or correction, you'll find the right operator on RapidMiner to solve the problem. It's amazing how Rapidminer keeps its efforts in the right spot, without going through the technical implementation line that is time consuming and without allowing you to develop a simple and wrong model. The flow of the tool causes an immersion in understanding aspects of each operator used and give you security of the model that was created. All this with a good performance for large databases. For me, working with market intelligence is perfect, keeping my focus on finding the best results. At the same time that you use RapidMiner, you develop a learning cycle that transcends the tool and goes into questions about how the various algorithms work. Because of it, novice users quickly get a grip on basic machine learning steps. A lot of time spent when performing a machine learning task is usually spent with data pre-processing and trying to understand, what data means. Rapidminer offers a plethora of possibilities to import the data from various sources and formats, as well as some really powerful data visualization tools. All major ML models are also included. It is also very nice to have free academic licence available - for students and instructors. Academic licence is easily and quickly obtainable and the process does not require lengthy bureaucratic procedure. **What do you dislike about Altair AI Studio?** I personally dislike that some metrics for performance of the models are missing. I have been unable to find adjusted R squared parameter for evaluation of multiple linear regression models. I could also benefit from additional metrics for feature relevance. For example i could benefit from standardized multiple linear regression coefficients. **Recommendations to others considering Altair AI Studio:** Look at their tutorials. They provide quick start into machine learning. If you are entitled for academic licence - it is free.
