Our onboarding process took longer than expected and required a significant amount of involvement from our internal team. At times, the volume of alerts can feel overwhelming, and tuning the system to cut down on false positives took considerable time and effort. Our biggest challenge was the lack of round-the-clock security monitoring-our internal IT team simply didn’t have the capacity to watch for threats 24/7. Rapid7 MDR addressed this fully by providing dedicated SOC coverage at all times. As a result, we’re able to detect and respond to threats much faster than before, cutting our mean time to respond from hours to minutes in many cases. I appreciate that Rapid7 Managed Detection and Response Services is very thorough and technical. Their Insight agent collects data from every endpoint, which is crucial for us. Our plan includes vulnerability management and scanning, and they use and maintain the Metasploit framework effectively. I also like that they research new threats and add detections continuously. Rapid7 helped us consolidate multiple security functions, like threat analysis and alert aggregation from SentinelOne and M365, into one platform, which is extremely convenient for us. I really like how quickly the Rapid7 MDR team jumps on any suspcious activity. Their analysts do most of the heavy lifting for us — checking alerts, confirming real threats, and telling us what actions we need to take. It saves our team a ton of time. The visibility they give across our enviroment is solid, and the communication during incidents is clear and straghtforward. What do you dislike about Rapid7 Managed Detection and Response Services? I sometimes feel the alerts come in a bit out of order, making it harder to figure which ones we should look at first. The portal can also load things in the wrong place at times, so you end up clicking around more than you’d expect. And every now and then the recommendations show up a little mixed with older info, which makes the follow‑up steps take longer than they should. We use Rapid7 MDR to deal with threats a lot faster because their are watching our environment nonstop and handling the early investigation work for us. We’re no longer buried under alerts or trying to figure out which ones actually matter. They also give us clear, actionable steps when something needs attention, which cuts down the time we spend troubleshooting. Overall, it strengthens our security posture and frees our team to focus on projects instead of constant monitoring and laert management.
