Users who are more entry-level in cybersecurity can use the VTA's hint/solution feature to better guide them through complex modules, while users who are more advanced in cybersecurity can choose to skip the VTA's hints/solutions, giving them a more hands-off and practical experience. RangeForce has carefully crafted its training plans to slowly ween users off of the guidance of the VTA as they progress through the plan until the training plan's capstone, which offers no VTA guidance. By doing this, RangeForce has created very accessible training plans where users can set their own difficulty at their own pace to become experienced cybersecurity professionals. **What do you dislike about RangeForce?** While RangeForce's defensive security training plans are very robust, I would like to see more offensive security training plans in addition to what they already have. **What problems is RangeForce solving and how is that benefiting you?** RangeForce is one of the few online training platforms that understand what organizations are looking for in cybersecurity professionals, such as cloud and IoT security, and is constantly developing new training plans to meet these needs. They are also closely involved in listening to customer needs and customizing training plans to better serve their customer community. ### 3. Easy to tailor individual training plans for every level of your team. Each room explains everything clearly and even provide hints to nudge you in the right direction of stuck. The battle paths modules are great way to test your skills that accumulate into a final capstone that challenges you on everything you learned from the previous modules. Also you get badges. Who doesn't like badges. **What do you dislike about RangeForce?** Some rooms can take a while to load and there are frequent timeouts due to this. Some modules are older than others and can be finky when it comes to inputting answers. **What problems is RangeForce solving and how is that benefiting you?** Helping us test our SOC with real scenarios before they happen in our environment without the need to take our offensive security team away from their busy schedules. We are able to supplement our team's skills with easy to complete rooms without setting up huge engagements. ### 4. When trying to replace the old "in the classroom" experiences with an online version, most vendors have products that are too simple or too "click here, enter this" to be a real learning experience. The lab also forces me to study deeper into a certain problem that I cannot resolve in the lab itself. i can pause anytime and go back where I left off, thus giving me time to study the gaps that I do not understand well. The lab is a mixture of clues and no clues at all, which really makes me go deeper and research from outside. This is the correct way of learning. One must not depend on one platform for researching and studying. Also the PDF material is also good. It does not discusses lengthy topics on certain subjects. It might be incomplete in some way, but as I have mentioned, one must not depend on single or few resources. The PDF material is short but informative and straightforward. It deals directly to the topic issue that needs to be resolved in the lab. And yes, the material is related to the lab. There are resources from other training platform that contains a lot of unnecessary information, which causes confusion in some way. **What do you dislike about RangeForce?** So far, I have no dislike. The only problem that I encountered sometime is that the virtual lab is slow. I'm not sure if it is my connection or the traffic which cause bottleneck in the operation of the server. **Recommendations to others considering RangeForce:** If you're a guy who love to learn while doing it, take the courses from RangeForce! The platform provides challenging tasks, which urges you to study deeper. Thus, providing better learning experience and fast phase because the issue to be resolved in the platform is straightforward. No lengthy theoretical discussion, no unnecessary information. Just do the labs, so as the real-world scenarios. **What problems is RangeForce solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am currently brushing up my knowledge in Cybersecurity concepts. I had some training from other provider but I liked the platform that I'm using from RangeForce. The phase of training is so much better because after each module, I get to do a hands-on. Unlike other resources, I have to study on a lot of theoretical or foundational knowledge before getting my hands dirty. I, as a technical person, is more adept to the concept of "learn by doing it". I can easily learn something if I'm doing hands-on because it does not show the process of doing it, but it helps in analyzing how certain things work. ### 20.
