I can just snap a photo of the expense, upload it, and that’s it. It’s the simplest way I know to handle travel expenses and reimbursements.

Integration with google pay is super easy as well so I just tap my phone when needed, is super fast and easy even when I need to generate a visa card **What do you dislike about Ramp?** Nothing so far. The only thing that might happen sometimes is that, if I don’t provide all the required information for card generation, the card might get locked. But I think that’s more of a Visa issue than a Ramp issue. **What problems is Ramp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Travel expenses and reimbursement used to be a pain for me. I hated having to pay out of pocket, then come home and fill out those long forms while attaching every bill. Now it’s much easier: I just tap to pay with my phone and take a quick photo as soon as the bill comes. ### 2. The UI/UX is honestly one of the best I’ve seen in a finance platform. It’s intuitive, clean, and makes everyday tasks like managing cards, adjusting limits, reviewing expenses, and tracking spend across multiple entities much easier. The AI capabilities are also excellent and genuinely useful in day-to-day work, helping make processes faster and reducing manual effort. Another major strength is how quickly Ramp evolves. New features and improvements are released frequently, including enhancements for multi-entity management. I also really appreciate how responsive Ramp is to customer feedback, both through Customer Support and the Ramp Community. You can actually see customer needs and suggestions reflected in product improvements. **What do you dislike about Ramp?** There are still a few bugs and limitations when working with our Israeli entity, which occasionally require manual workarounds. The main area I would like to see improved is the budgeting functionality. Currently, it doesn’t fully support accrual-based budgeting or the proper treatment of prepaid expenses. For Finance teams managing budgets on an accrual basis, this can create a mismatch between Ramp’s budget reporting and the way expenses are actually recognized in the accounting system. Better support for accruals and prepaid expense allocation would make the budgeting feature significantly more useful for financial planning and budget vs. actual analysis. **What problems is Ramp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ramp has helped us centralize and automate many of our spend management workflows, including corporate cards, expense tracking, receipt collection, approvals, reimbursements, and spend controls. For the Finance team, the biggest advantage is improved visibility and control. We can adjust card limits and spending policies in real time, quickly spot missing documentation, and cut down on the manual follow-up that would otherwise be needed. It also delivers a smoother experience for employees while still giving Finance the controls we require. The automation and AI capabilities reduce manual effort even further and allow us to focus on exceptions instead of reviewing every transaction one by one. In many cases, it has replaced QuickBooks for our accounting needs. Our nonprofit also gets better interest rates through Ramp than through our local bank, so it genuinely pays for itself. On top of that, you can use it for free—you don’t even have to use the premium features. We choose to anyway because Ramp works so well.

As a nonprofit, we’re required to keep receipts for everything, and Ramp makes that incredibly easy. We can create cards for specific vendors, and we’ve also set up company cards for our leadership team so we can track spending, stay under budget, and, as I mentioned, keep receipts organized. Their AI is smart and pretty cool. Ramp AI runs through your inbox (if you want it to of course) and pulls all receipts into the software so you don't need to manually upload most receipts. The receipts you have physically you can just take a photo of and send in a text with the memo / QB category like most familiar systems like Expensify.

The UI is modern and easy to use, and it includes dark mode out of the box, which I appreciate. It integrates with whatever AI you use, and it also integrates with QuickBooks, which is obviously necessary. Overall performance is solid—pretty much what you’d expect, but on the better end. It does occasionally lag, but not nearly as much as QuickBooks.

I haven’t needed to use customer support or advanced onboarding, but I did feel the software was straightforward enough that we didn’t need to be “onboarded” to get started. You can do a free trial of their Procurement system and talk with their support staff which is pretty nice. Their Procurement system was too advanced for our small nonprofit but it definitely looks useful. Their budgeting tools are great as well, they provide a dashboard with all your budget categories with analysis and stats. **What do you dislike about Ramp?** There isn’t a whole lot to dislike about Ramp, especially considering you can use practically all of its features for free right out of the box. The main areas for improvement, in my view, are around the fact that it still isn’t a complete replacement for QuickBooks yet—which is fine, because it’s not trying to be one. Still, it feels so close that I’d love to be able to use Ramp as the primary source for our accounting, with QB as more of a supporting tool or backup safety net, rather than the other way around. **What problems is Ramp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ramp has become our go-to for all things accounting. It helps a lot with budgeting because we now buy everything through Ramp and also use their bill pay. I like that it automatically collects receipts, which keeps things organized and saves time. It also offers better bank interest rates than our local bank. On the spending side, it lets you issue company credit cards and manage all of them easily from one place; you can even create a separate card per vendor. It’s also useful for travel management, with travel policies and expense handling built in. ### 4. Ramp has the best customer service department ever! Next would be Accounting and integrations. **What do you dislike about Ramp?** I’m an entrepreneur with some college-level accounting background, but I’m far from being an accounting professional. Even so, I still handle a large portion of the accounting and bookkeeping for our business. I’d really love to see Ramp start hosting presentations for those of us who aren’t accounting professionals but still have important accounting responsibilities. It's a reliable platform with strong admin tools, and they keep rolling out new features that I didn't even think about, which greatly benefit our organization and relieve pain points. I especially like how it manages travel policies, tracks them for us, and the amortization feature saves time during the month-end close. It syncs well with Sage Intacct, and I appreciate the 2-way writing between the platforms. The initial setup was very easy. **What do you dislike about Ramp?** I wish Ramp had accounts receivable capabilities so we could do everything in one trustworthy platform. I would love to give vendors an option to pay with links handling ACH payments or credit card information. It would also be helpful to generate invoices and apply credits as needed with easy linkable information for both the payor and us to view. Additionally, I would like the ability to change entity information if a bill hasn't been paid yet, as having to re-create bills due to the wrong entity is a pain point. Currently, we still use Bill.com for A/R because Ramp doesn't provide that. **What problems is Ramp solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Ramp for spend management, contract management, W-9 filing, and quick ACH payments. It's a huge relief knowing that if a card number gets compromised, I don't need to reset multiple accounts. It basically does all the work for me, storing receipts automatically without needing me to take pictures. It's just awesome how easy it is to add an account to a receipt and let Ramp handle the rest. I love how it streamlines the process, making accounting super easy and efficient. Ramp even finds receipts in my emails, saving me the hassle of looking for them. Ongoing charges like subscriptions show up in my account needing just a code number, not the receipt itself, which makes it very, very easy to manage. I spend very little time on my expenses and I have a lot due to sales travel. The Gmail integration you released creates even less work. Now that I have iOS upload, SMS, and inbox searching it's never been easier to get this done. If feels like your engineers have lived the life of a sales person with lots of small and large expenses that can pile up. The AI features aid in what is already a good experience. I rarely have delays in my reimbursements getting processed which helps me, its better performance than other platforms. With most everything being drag and drop and a good matching engine I don't have to manually scan pdf and jpeg files. **What do you dislike about Ramp?** Nothing really. I don't pay for it so I don't know the pricing structure but I would say it's worth every penny. Our CEO says that he would personally invest in Ramp and think its one of the best run companies around. **What problems is Ramp solving and how is that benefiting you?** It just makes expense management a breeze and gives me back several hours a month.
