It is very easy to use with multiple direct link to manages and overview sprint, tasks, user stories etc. It also support option to customize dashboard. we also use clarity to log time and rally has good integration with clarity so we dont need to maually fill timesheet in clarity, just log your work in rally by completing task and it automatically reflects in clarity. What problems is Rally Software solving and how is that benefiting you? I am using rally as daily driver to manage our agile borad, it has good tool for data analysis and data representation. The best part of rally is it manages from program level, unlike jira this tool covers the product from bussines level to program level to techinal level. which helps all the user to understand the curernt task better and enpower them to see full picture. I love the way the items can be organized and tracked on Rally (initiatives, features, user stories, defects) which can be used for a full implementation of an agile process. There are dashboards that provide friendly and useful metrics at the team, program and portfolio levels which help get an easy and quick visual representation of what's going on. Story management made easier, It offers a quick way of quickly entering a number of user stories without losing the overview, by just typing the title and selecting a few attributes directly in the overview screen. Workflow is fixed in CA Agile Central & can not be customized as per your team needs, which can be easily carried out in JIRA. Example: In CA Agile Central we have states “Defined”, “In progress”, “Completed” and “Accepted” and there is no way to change those names or add new states into it. Burn down charts can be generated only with fixed attributes. So if your team is not burning hours or your team does not create tasks, you will not get to see burn down charts. Every screen there are no popup windows. Great tool for Agile life cycle management. 2.. Successor and predecessor relationship can be made between the stories. 3. Easy to break up Epic to Features also user stories can be listed per feature. 4. From \>Team Planning View all the user stories can be assigned into multiple iterations through out the release (PI). 5. Provides real time view of the team work and where the project is heading from \>Team Status View 6. Report generation is the best feature which makes it easy to measure team work and their performance for Burn down, Burn up velocity, quality, defects etc. 7. Affording multiple license for a small enterprise is a bit challenging. 2. Have issues with UI while using it on Internet Explorer or Mozilla. 3. Creating test cases and reporting defects are a bit complicated, for which we normally use HP-ALM integrated with rally. 4. Features with similar or common names are difficult to search 5. What problems is Rally Software solving and how is that benefiting you? 1.We are using Agile Central from requirement management till chart generation and reporting. 2 It helps us to manage the Epic and create multiple features for different teams throughout the program. 3.Feature assignment for different teams is quite easy and manageable. 4.Also Reporting helps management to track the progress of the overall program. 5.Email notifications and customized dashboard also helps end users. 6.Team status helps to manage progress in a chart view. CA Agile has clear concise view for product features we are working. It is easy to see how the feature is coming along and see your capacity of when the feature will be complete. I also use it daily for scrum meetings. The iteration feature lets you view each developer and what they have in progress. Easy to tell if they are not focusing and finishing their tasks. CA Agile also has a nice feature to split user stories across sprints. It is good tool for planning sprints. You can enter the capacity for each developer for the sprint and assign them user stories appropriately. CA Agile is also highly configurable you can set up dashboards and reports to how you work. You can create a dashboard for blocked task to focus immediately on blocke issues. It is easy to create and edit features, user stories and defects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rally Software? I like CA Agile. I would say my dislike would be that sometimes when I am making a lot of changes it doesn't save quick enough and the system thinks their is a conflict with the changes. CA Agile has a different user experience than Jira. Jira has more types of stories that you can build out for filtering and more custom reporting if you know the query language. Not all reports can be exported from the system. I often try to tag items to track them for a release. The release reports don't have an export button. In order to share what is complete for an upcoming release, I have to copy paste into excel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
