AI-Driven Testing That Accelerates Your Development Cycle Rainforest's AI capabilities manage the entire testing lifecycle from planning to execution. The platform automatically generates comprehensive test plans and identifies coverage gaps in your existing test suite, ensuring no critical user flows go untested. Unlike traditional frameworks that require manual test creation, Rainforest creates automated, end-to-end tests for you, dramatically reducing the time from specification to execution. What truly sets Rainforest apart is its self-healing test technology. When UI changes occur—whether it's a button relocation or design refresh—tests automatically adapt without manual intervention. This eliminates the constant maintenance burden that plagues traditional automation frameworks. When tests do fail, Rainforest provides granular visibility into exactly what changed and why the failure occurred, enabling rapid root cause analysis and resolution. No-Code Simplicity for Every Team Member Rainforest's intuitive, no-code interface democratizes test automation across your organization. Developers, product managers, and QA professionals alike can write, run, and maintain test suites without specialized training or coding expertise. The platform's visual-first approach interacts with UI elements the same way users do, rather than relying exclusively on fragile CSS selectors that break with every design update. Teams achieve measurable value in days, not months. There's no lengthy buildout period, no specialized hiring requirements, and no vendor lock-in to engineering resources. Test ownership can flexibly sit with development, product, or QA teams based on your organizational structure. Tests run in parallel for rapid feedback, and seamless integrations with GitHub, CircleCI, CLI, Slack, and other tools in your tech stack ensure testing fits naturally into existing workflows. ## Rainforest QA Reviews
 ### 1. Huge advocate for Rainforest

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

I love how easy it is to create tests. Being able to create embedded steps and copy selected steps enhance the speed and which I am able to create tests. Plus, the comment step makes it easy to document the tests. Unlike other automation tools, I like that Rainforest relies on screenshots as opposed to classes & IDs to find elements, so it's as if an actual user is clicking through the steps.

Also, my experience with customer service at Rainforest is really good! I've raised a few questions/concerns over the last couple of years, and even if they can't be answered straight away, it's nice to have some acknowledgment, and then if I chase it's nice to know that it's not just been brushed aside, I always feel like it's in hand.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

The only issue I can see these days, and it's not the biggest issue, but still, it would be good to address, is that the wait time is different between running a test in edit mode vs running a real test run; and I'm going to guess its because edit mode is running a single test and a real test run is running multiple tests at the same time, hence the slowness.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work with a dev team of about 25-ish people in squads of about 5-6, which include 1 QA per squad. We try to release code changes daily, and having Rainforest means we don't have to worry about code changes breaking other system areas. We can test the tickets manually and then run the Rainforest testing suite to see if anything dodgy has occurred in other areas of the system. It's so easy to review the results, assign them to colleagues to fix/sign-off, and catagorise any failing tests; before requesting a code cut.

 ### 2. It's fun to create tests!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simone L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Creating tests is boring, but not with Rainforest! The interface is super-easy to use; click and take snapshots in your browser of choice. There are plenty of scheduling options.
My #1 favorite feature is supporting temporary email inboxes, os we can test the complete signup workflow of our SaaS!

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Mobile-browser tests are preformed manually by QA people (so execution time is slightly slower, not ideal to be integrated in CI/CD).

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure that the critical features and workflows in our SaaS work, so we can sleep well :)
We use automated tests via Rainforest QA to replace the need of a full-time QA Engineer in our team.

 ### 3. Excellent product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Ease of use is exceptional. Very easy to construct new test cases, as the application grows and changes, test cases are easy to change and update. Everything is visual and easy to understand, high marks for everything.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Would be good if test cases could be layered, for example on the success of creating an order, then searching for that order. In more complex systems such as insurance, this is an absolute requirement.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a platform to test our application. This is all we use and it is excellent (other than layering test, which we achieve through the CLI and waiting (not very efficient)).

 ### 4. The best end to end testing tool I've ever used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Rainforest is so easy to use and intuitive anyone can pick it up almost instantly. QA engineers, frontend engineers, and even backend engineers, but also product people can see exactly what is being tested, what breaks, and make updates in minutes. It also lets us test things that no other tool can test, by being truly "from the outside" in a browser in a VM.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Nothing really. The tool is great, the team is awesome and makes improvements to it constantly, and it keeps getting better. The only way Rainforest could be better is if it could fix my code for me.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Rainforest to test all the critical paths of our app, and move with confidence. Many times it has alerted to some regression and allowed us to fix things before they reach our customers.

 ### 5. Rainforest Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lasya G. | Product, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

It allows me to automate all the testcases without using any code.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Nothing as of now, I don't feel there are any drawbacks yet

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without being dependent on coding skills, I can write all my test cases with just record and play-based automation.

 ### 6. Simplified, Automated Testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam W. | Frontend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

We use Rainforest for our entire deployment process, and we find it to be excellent for our project manager to use. As a software startup, we don't always have time to build proper unit tests, instead, our project manager makes them using Rainforest in no time at all.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I often find myself wishing that rainforest could detect items in the HTML by the ID of the element, however, I understand that this might be out of scope for Rainforest.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

If you are a developer looking to use Rainforest, I would be sure to build your UI in a way that is easy to navigate via image recognition, we found some of our UI was cluttered and not easily recongisable.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rainforest QA finds the issues in our software before the client, which makes us look more professional. The embedded tests in particular really help our development process.

 ### 7. Rainforest QA Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

I'm surprised and impressed by how responsive the UI is

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Probably how speed of VM and load times affects writing tests for our products

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freeing up manpower - eventually! We are still trying to get Rainforest, our contractor team, and our product to play well enough together that we can make Rainforest useful for us.

 ### 8. Useful FE happy path tests in no time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

How easily can I as PM create UI tests for my client's app with this no-code solution.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

It really saves dummy test data into app, so everybody can see it until you delete it.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After every run I get info if the flow of app is functional and don't need to test it manually.

 ### 9. Useful automated QA tool with a clunky interface

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Having the tests automated and running on a schedule every day is very helpful and removes one more thing from our plate so that we only ned to worry about it when tests fail

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

The interface can be confusing and often requires very roundabout solutions to make the tests do the thing you want them to do. Things that seem as though they should be very simple often end up being complex

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rainforest is giving us a way to automatically check the uptime of sites and provides us with a sanity check that new development hasn't broken anything, saving us time on manually checking things after every release

 ### 10. Working on Rainforest is easy and it works nicely.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pranit S. | Senior Test Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Writing test cases is easy and full of documents. I like reusable snippets, and they save a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Some issues we can't produce on our side, but they have in Rainforest.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rainforest QA has test cases for every functionality, so it is beneficial to us to cover every functionality.

 ### 11. Easy to use and a very responsive team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The visual testing tool is straightforward to use, especially for non-technical users.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Sometimes the intelligent image tracking mode won't recognize an image, but this is rare.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a testing suite as a single QA Analyst, it saves a lot of time.

 ### 12. Simple testing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

One of the more simpler automated testing providers

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Unable to export test cases as excel/csv files

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

automated functionality testing

 ### 13. Visual Editor is convenient, but pixel matching can lead to high maintenance

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The visual editor is very easy to get used to, and it's very easy to quickly whip up simple tests to test core features of different pages. It's also nice to be able to duplicate tests.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I dislike the fact that you cannot edit test embeds directly from the test in which they're embedded. Often, I need to modify a screenshot to refactor tests when UI changes occur, and when I have to edit the embed instead of the parent test, I can't get to the right screen automatically, which prevents me from using the embed feature as much as I'd like.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rainforest frees up my time away from manual testing on the production build and allows me to work on other projects, such as testing pages and branches in development.

**Official Response from Billy Goudy:**

> Hi there! We are happy to hear that Rainforest is saving you time by no longer having to do manual testing! You will be happy to know that we updated our embedded tests so that they are now able to be updated directly from the test you are viewing. Please reach out if you have any questions :)

 ### 14. Excellent no code automation tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angel C. | QA Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

No code automation, excellent object recognition.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Only capable of use for web applications

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation of regression testing

 ### 15. Super easy and quick to learn platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel C. | Lead Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

How easy it is to learn the platform and get up and running. I was able to train our new QA testers and they were creating tests less than 15 minutes later.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I'm not sure if I have any negative feedback to share. My opinion is that the platform does 1 thing and does it well.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our product has a lot of features and with every production deployment, all of those features have to be tested. So Rainforest QA allows us to establish a baseline and test the base features quickly.

 ### 16. Rainforest makes writing and automating tests incredibly easy.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

One of the features I found most helpful was creating tests with randomized data. It was just what I needed as we were testing a new web app. The different fields it gave as options was really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I didn't like how it handles dynamic data. For instance, if you have a list view which keeps updating, it's almost impossible to test since you can't create an image of a dynamic list view

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We recently moved from a desktop app to a web app. With our users, we needed to do a lot of testing to reduce customer complaints and foresee any issues we may not be able to test for.

 ### 17. Extremely helpful for our team to execute quickly!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

We iterate on our product quickly and Rainforest QA helps us make changes with confidence. We have a complicated acquisition flow and our RQA tests help us ensure that we're not wasting marketing spend or missing out on revenue due to bugs.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

In the past there would be spurious test failures, but that has greatly improved over the last 60 days. The test building tool is great, but it's still laborious to create new tests. However, I don't know how much that can be improved.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

Definitely give the trial a go, and your life will improve when you tie it into your CI/CD!

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated integration and smoke tests. Having this tool in place has saved us money, time, and quality of life. I can sleep better and worry less about breaking our funnel.

 ### 18. The tool is codeless but less options for customizations.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Rainforest has a Codeless Automation which helped us speed up our creation of automated test scripts. It also has a built-in Virtual machine where we can try to debug and run our scripts.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

The downside is that there are no options for us to customize our automated test. One is that there are no conditional statements to make our test to be more flexible with the application's UI

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Rainforest helped us to create tests in a short amount of time and test our app more frequently. It increases our productivity because instead of creating automated test, we can allot our time to other QA tasks.

**Official Response from Lauren Harold:**

> We love to hear that Rainforest has increased productivity for your team! We'd be happy to chat more about your customization needs. Please reach out via in app chat or email (support@rainforestqa.com) with more details, and we'll see how we can help.

 ### 19. Easy to get started and quickly becomes a useful tool to verify real user behaviour

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Quick to get started, nice simple and well structured UI

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Unable to target specific dom elements by ID but I guess that is not the purpose of Rainforest.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are just starting out building a smoke test suite which will give us the ability to validate functionality pre and post release quickly.

 ### 20. Rainforest is a good tool for simple QA automation so you know your app is running on a daily basis.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The best features are the ability to use a simple UI that allows one to configure simple QA tests, its all very visual, which I love!

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

It's hard to configure very complex tests as there can be a lot of moving parts and one small change on the site will break the entire test.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the problem of having a QA at a startup, and its benefiting us because we do not have to spend time on a full-time resource!

 ### 21. It's been pretty good

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

I like the documentation and that you can spin up test cycles easily.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I dislike that it can sometimes take a while for test runs to complete.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do not have a large QA team, and this is helping alleviate that.

 ### 22. Works well, does everything i need it to do

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

I like that you can schedule tests and get the results emailed when the tests finish

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I think the tests are slower than i'd like.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can run tests in the background while working on other things, or run tests after i'm done working and only check it if a test failed

 ### 23. Rainforest QA is intuitive and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

It doesn't require extensive knowledge of code to build custom tests.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

There's a slight learning curve, but this is expected for any auditing tool.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It made it easy to set up tests for our company's high priority landing pages, so that we can catch when things crash in the moment

 ### 24. Extremely useful, easy to learn, and a responsive team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas C. | Quality Assurance Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Rainforest's test editing software makes test creation and upkeep extremely simple, with no coding involved! It makes what would be an hours long process just the click of a button, and any issues you might happen to run into or have confusion about, their support team will quickly find a solution for you. From their regular support staff to their devs and product leads, they are committed to making a good user experience!

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Any visual changes to your elements used to cause you to need to update screenshots, although this has been mostly solved with text matching.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has reduced the manual effort of our testing by an invaluable amount. Builds can get fully regression tested multiple times a day with ease and relatively low active upkeep!

 ### 25. An excellent manual testing service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Rainforest gives us increased confidence in our releases. The best feature is the ability to playback the tester video for easy test reproductions.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

There are times when tests are failed when they shouldn't. This is natural variance given there are different real testers, but it can sometimes add additional overhead to the QA process.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual testing is vital to any software business. Rainforest QA allows us to have much more confidence in our releases given the number of real testers & test cases

 ### 26. Reasonably good, can sometimes be a little tricky figuring out where tests go wrong.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Overall process is very intuitive, being able to create embeds is exceptionally useful.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I guess that sometimes when a test fails, it's not immediately obvious why. But more often than not, it's an oversight when creating the test.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast, easy way of creating end-to-end UI/UX testing. Reduces development time spent writing additional unit tests.

 ### 27. It works as expected 90% of the time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan Marco K. | Customer Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

I love their customer support. Rainforest listens for feature requests and feedback and implements them at a fantastic pace.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I don't like how the experience is inconsistent sometimes. I've had virtual machines behave differently with the same inputs. A select few times, the inputs are not even registered.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

Rainforest is a solid tool for automated software testing. Know, however, that sometimes you're going to have to work around some of its limitations. However, if you disclose those limitations with the Rainforest team, they'll help you out and eventually implement fixes for them.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rainforest helps my work organization quickly test for the installing and setup process of our app. Thanks to it, we can easily detect issues from the perspective of first-time users.

 ### 28. Awesome tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

It enables everyone to be involved in tests and participate in the conversation on requirements, which are disambiguated by the tests.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Some features are missing, it would be nice to have actions that trigger after JavaScript events or when a certain URL is done loading. Also would be nice to have conditional branching in the actions.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to get our non-developers involved in QA, we want to test our patches/PRs, but the code is moving too quickly and is too immature for unit tests. Rainforest fills the gap.

 ### 29. Very easy and flexible to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nouman S. | SDET., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The straightforwardness of the tool and the customer support is the best you can get.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Nothing to dislike as of now, the test timing can be improved.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

RainforestQA is one of the most awesome testing tools out there. I recommend rainforestQA to the people working in the automation testing domain.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The automation tool helps us in reviewing our website whenever changes are made and help in regression testing

 ### 30. A different approach

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike K. | Technology Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Rainforest tests can be quickly written by anyone in IT or business- that's the key to this. Rainforest is also very good at continual product improvement.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

The image matching technology is almost perfect. Almost. A test will run without failing for an extended period of time and then fail with little known reason.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need to recruit SDET for web testing. Everyone is involved in the test building and maintenance.

 ### 31. SKILLEXIA

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The UI. Clean and easy. The fact I can rehearse scipts.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I would love the step# to show up at the top when I test a script. The tablet-based scripts don't work well. I don't use them anymore.

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The certainty of knowing that the feature that will be deployed works.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

You can't reset deleted tests. I once deleted a test by accident and I had to do it all over again.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

It's worth every penny! I can't imagine working without it!

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have more time to do my PM work, get to know if a feature is working as expected, and most of all.. discover the bugs that may affect my real users before we launch.

**Official Response from Dean Hinnegan-Stevenson:**

> Hey Andrea! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Rainforest. In the future if you ever accidently delete a test, our support team will have no issue in getting it back into your test suite. Please keep the great feedback coming :)

Ability to compare visually when css selector is not available (we are often using canvas element)

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I didn't find a way to emulate 3D navigation (arrow key pressing, mouse drag, etc)

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small team so it allow us to spend more time on new features testing, and less on non-regression tests

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're testing automation of making sure our website that has critical users doesn't fail.

 ### 36. Excellent team and great product!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamila B. | Engineering manager (Head of Quality), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Their team is always there and available to help!

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

The product could use some improvements and new features. But it seems like they are constantly working on it and improving.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem: too much to test, not enough time and recourses. Rainforest solves this by test automation that reduces the time used for testing products manually. As we are still in the implementation stage, not many benefits at this time, but so far, their TWS (test writing services) has been a tremendous help to automate our test suites.
We are looking forward to many more benefits once we have it up and fully running.

 ### 37. Rainforest has gone above and beyond to help us with our QA needs!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin H. | QA Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The best thing about working with RainforestQA is how they have always been flexible and willing to work with us as QA in our company has evolved. I also cannot say enough good things about their customer service and CSM folks. We've gone through several CSM's and each one has been wonderful!

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Early on, there were difficulties getting used to their platform and some growing pains with regard to ease of test creation and management, however, Rainforest worked closely with us during this time, gave advice, and ultimately helped us move past these issues with the implementation of a test manager.

There have also been very helpful updates to their software, like the test writing service which brings in the crowd to help us edit our tests. Things like this have improved the experience for us and we're excited to see what they'll come up with in the future!

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

If your goal is to have a small QA team, definitely ask about getting help in the form of a test manager. I hope they make this kind of thing more official as ours has been a game-changer!

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One bottleneck we were experiencing was the need to check all areas of our application thoroughly before pushing out new builds. With Rainforest's implementation of the crowd, we are able to do this within hours. This has greatly increased the pace with which we are able to continuously deploy quality code.

Because of the above, we have been able to keep our QA team relatively small. It has always been our intent to keep the QA team relatively small and despite sweeping improvements and additions to our software, we have been able to keep up with testing needs thanks in large part to Rainforest and their massively helpful tools.

 ### 38. Rainforest is a great product that can improve test coverage in less time than traditional testing.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter B. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Embeddable tests are essential for building variable tests without needing to record the same screenshot potentially multiple times.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Screenshot confidence between browsers lacks a bit; font-weight/size is affected between Chrome and Safari. For example, and is causing failures in automated testing in some browsers while passing in others with no fundamental difference in the testing logic.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are testing a new product, as well as its compatibility with our other applications.

 ### 39. Comprehensive test coverage with a tasful blend of precision and speed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The user interface and ability to create tests that cover the entire product. Moreover, the customer service team is very approachable and provide valuable feedback in bettering our tests. Also their availability on slack is just icing on the cake. Furthermore, the comments testers leave on failed steps that are actually should have failed is extremely valuable and helps us fill in the gaps of our test that we may have overlooked.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

The RFQA automation test that uses crowdsourcing can at times enroll testers who sometimes fail on trivial steps of the test. While approaching product release, this on one occasion has lead our team to manually run those tests. This in turn required us to spent quite a few hours.
The RFQA exploratory team is more adept in running tests. It would be nice if a level close to this is seen on the RFQA automation team. Otherwise the RFQA platform is extremely easy to use,

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

This platform is extremely robust when it comes to covering the quality of your entire SaaS. The customer service is top notch where one can expect a reply in a few minutes. They give invaluable feedback in bettering our tests to ensure a smooth product release cycle.
The ability write embedded steps in tests helps one to build off of previously established work thus circumventing the whole reinvention of the wheel. Please ask for a trial run of the platform and ask questions.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing different product areas of a data science platform. Ability to rectify any issues in the product which in turn provides a seamless experience to our customers while using out product. Personally I am creating tests on RFQA that mimics the workflow of Data Science Practitioners(DSPs). Hence if my tests pass at a decent cadence, we can say with a reasonable surety that our platform holds up to the challenges DSPs throw at it everyday.

 ### 40. Amazing Crowdsourced QA Testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John S. | QA Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The help chat is always there whenever you have any issue, and the response and resolution time is far above average among vendors I have used.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Currently, the VMs do not have audio/visual input support, not even simulated.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

Yelp for help whenever things are not clear, and the help comes quickly. If the help chat does not help to resolve it, it is fairly easy to set up a deep dive or feedback session in which the support can identify features that you might have missed reading by yourself.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to provide more consistent automated coverages of tests that we could not otherwise automate.

 ### 41. Makes QA Work Efficient and Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Ease of use - there are multiple ways to write a test; plain English, automation, you can even submit a video and have test writers write the test on your behalf. When writing tests, the ability to preview tests before publishing is also a nice feature.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Coming up with test data. Our company deals with a lot pf PII, so spending time making fake files can be a bit of a hassle, but that'd be the case with or without Rainforest.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're working into kicking off tests once developers are at a certain point, so the QAs don't have to manually go in and run tests while they're working on something, or after each sprint release.

 ### 42. Great Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Because we are short-staffed, it is nice having Rainforest to fall back on. They show you your history of running each test, they have automation as well as tests that utilize human intervention. If you need help writing a test, they will write or rewrite it for you! They assign a program manager to you so you can ask questions about the product. My PM, Dave, is the best! I have has a positive experience over all!

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Rainforest does not fully understand our application so its hard figuring out how to use the exploratory test or test writing services to create new tests. This is not a flaw on Rainforest's part, necessarily. This is just how it works since they are a third party tool and it is up to me to communicate new features to them.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

I dont have any

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are short-staffed so its nice having another testing resource. The test rewriting feature also helps when I dont have time to figure out the problem.

 ### 43. My Rainforest for the most part, has been responsive, dependable, reliable, and accurate.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

I like the fact that the test case writing process is as simple as your understanding for the feature you are writing for. By having the english step by step option, test case writing looks more like a story that the crowd tester is integrated with than just a dumb terminal running a test case suite. Also the feedback from the crowd makes it easy to troubleshoot the issue or add more clear and concise verbiage to the existing test case. Lastly,I like it that Rainforest has decided to bolster their initiative to make the automation testing more robust. I look forward to harness the potential power of such a testing tool.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I dislike the amount of time that it takes to spin up a virtual machine instance for the English written cases as well as the automation cases. There are times when I have waited several minutes for the terminal to be ready. In our world that seems like a lifetime. I also am not fond of the amount of time that it takes for the automation to cache and run the test cases after the vm has loaded. It does not appear to front load the cases and then run them instead it appears that it reads each test case in serial prior to loading and then running. I am also not a fan of not having some sought of library that can be used when creating the automation cases. Lastly, there should be an auto save for the automation case writing so that you don't lose hours of work because somehow the window got closed or navigated away from.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

If you are looking to maximize your QA testing bottom lines, Rainforest offers scalability, time savings, cost cutting and flexibility. All the things that are needed to release a strongly tested product to your clients.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving for volume and velocity by having the flexibility of having the crowd testing done literally in tandem with each other at any given time. We are also solving for efficiency with the simplicity of test case writing which ensures expeditious test case preview and execution. Thirdly, we are solving the large cost associated with engineers having to manually run periodic and systematic test cases on a time schedule. Having the run groups at our disposal helps minimize that burden.

 ### 44. Deploy and sleep sounder at night

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas R. | Software Engineer II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

- test creation is simple via screen shots
- easy to use api for ci/cd integration
- tests are easily reviewable because of video playback
- ability to run tests via automation or via crowd
- tagging system for separating false positives from real issues

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

- mobile support (browser) could be a bit stronger
- tests can take some time to run
- refactoring test steps can be a little monotonous

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- full stack integration tests which make deploying widespread or sweeping changes easier
- helps with feature accountability and regression prevention

 ### 45. Innovative approach to QA that allowed us to get coverage in record time.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James K. | Director of Product, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The ability to run "manual" test on demand and get results within hours and not days. Also the Rainforest Team is very helpful and responsive, we have worked with them to provide feedback and they have help us with or ambitious automation goals.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Most of the issues that I dislike are unique to our process and products. The way tests are linked to "sites" makes it difficult for some of our integration goals. Not being able to track tests results across an arbitrary "release record/tag" and get that info via the api.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

Your current approaches to testing may not 100% translate to the Rainforest platform as they exist today but they are possible. Work with Rainforest and they will get you where you want to be.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick functional testing & feedback on new software releases. We are able to quickly determine if new releases have regression or are ready to move up the CD pipeline. Zero infrastructure cross browser testing is a huge problem we are solving with Rainforest. We have realized our goals for faster commit to deploy times and great confidence in releases.

 ### 46. Rainforest is Cool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The flexibility between Manual and Automation testing and its features makes your job more enjoyable and less stressful. The one platform for both manual and automation testing is my favorite.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

I love working with Rainforest, at the moment I do not have any bad feeling about the tool. I have been using Rainforest for less than a year now, I'm sure if anything arises in the future I will point that out to the channel.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

Learn it and enjoy using it, you will be delighted that you did.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Running a lot of Automation and Manual tests for my projects. It is beneficial for developers and the QA testers, and I will highly recommend others to learn and use it if their industry decides on it.

 ### 47. Speedy turnaround times, much greater test coverage and excellent support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Tests that would take our in house manual team 2-3 days can be executed by Rainforest in a couple of hours. Rainforest has significantly increased our turnaround time, coverage and throughput.

Our on boarding process and continual support from our customer success manager has been second to none.

We have been fortunate enough to be able to try out some of Rainforests beta products, which has been a fantastic opportunity for us and a fascinating insight into how Rainforest are continuously pushing to evolve their already outstanding platform.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Refactoring tests can be a pain but the draft function with suggestions from the RF QA crowd on how to improve them is really helpful.
JIRA integration should be able to cope with assigning tickets to multiple projects, assigning to users adding labels etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

Its the best thing to happen to our QA department in 8 years. Fast turnaround, greater coverage, test writing, exploratory, now automation. All with excellent support. Highly recommended.Go for it

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a LOT of tests to get through in some very aggressive timelines that we simply could not manage without the help of Rainforest.

 ### 48. Regression Testing time saver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

The best part is clicking a button to run several tests at once.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

The automation piece needs a little bit more work so that it's useful to me.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

Don't waste your time looking elsewhere, Rainforest QA has everything you need.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Regression testing has become so much easier. I no longer have to think about what to run, I just hit a button and Rainforest runs all of it, while I do something else.

 ### 49. Simple crowd-sourced and automated testing.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Ease of setup for the first time - no fuss!

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Some features still being developed for use.

**Recommendations to others considering Rainforest QA:**

Try it for a month. If you don't keep it I'll be surprised.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Regression testing is SOLVED!

Less bugs in prod, more pre-emptive fixes.

 ### 50. RFQA Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Rainforest QA?**

Ability to have tests refactored by a member of RFQA when they fail.

**What do you dislike about Rainforest QA?**

Would like to separate tests by projects for a much cleaner experience I feel like the UI feels a little cluttered.

**What problems is Rainforest QA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shorten time to get applications to production. Faster tests coverage.
