DO NOT PURCHASE QUORUM FOR STATE AND LOCAL ADVOCACY **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Monica S. | ED, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2025 **What do you like best about Quorum?** Quorum did an ok job at notifying when a bill was moved to committee. **What do you dislike about Quorum?** Quorum lied to me and said they would provide legislative staff contact, and did not do so. When I questioned why that information was not available they said they could only provide what was publicly available, which was a generic office email address that is available online for free. I urge you DO NOT purchase this software for state or local advocacy. **What problems is Quorum solving and how is that benefiting you?** I thought Quorum was going to save me time with having up to date staff contacts for legislators, and bill tracking. Their softward did an ok job for the bill tracking, but it did not justify the expense if they did not have contact information for legislative staff. There are much cheaper alternatives. **Official Response from Patrick Kalie:** > Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. To clarify, Quorum does provide State Legislature staff contacts, and as of our last count, we maintain a database of approximately 9,000 state-level staffers. For local advocacy, due to the structure of local government staffing, the most relevant points of contact can be found within our officials dataset. This includes local elected officials, administrators, and law enforcement leaders (such as police chiefs and sheriffs) for every county and over 5,600 municipalities. We always strive to be as transparent as possible about our offerings, and we appreciate the opportunity to improve. Terrible experience, with even worse customer service **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Sarah Y. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023 **What do you like best about Quorum?** Quorum might be a fantastic tool for connecting advocates with legislators. However, as an original Phone2Action customer who has been acquired by Quorum, I can attest that this product is suffering. Simply knowing email addresses that are actually opted-in the system is a struggle, along with many other technical challenges. I have nothing to say good about Quorum, other than the that Alex is incredibly responsive, if not powerless to fix the actually issues that plague Phone2Action's original clients. **What do you dislike about Quorum?** The Quorum tool doesn't allow for custom letters to be sent to legislators, which is the primary downfall of the tool. As an original Phone2Action user this is the primary reason we stay with the product, despite having many challenges with engineering customer service, understanding who is in our database, and knowing the status of our advocates. At one point in a recent campaign we weren't even able to get an accurate count of how many letters have been delivered, reaching a new level of client frustration for such a simple request. **What problems is Quorum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Quorum in purchasing Phone2Action seems to be working hard to solve the challenges that exist within the current Phone2Action platform. There is not a lot of transparency in this process except for the understanding that there is frustrtion. ### 4. There is a lot of flexibility there. I think the action center also has some nice flexibility built I wish there were more for certain aspects. **What do you dislike about Quorum?** The filters you use on Quorum make little to no sense. Why are people not active as soon as register? Why can I not see registration email analytics? These are things that would help me understand my audience better. **What problems is Quorum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Personally I don't see any change that is benefiting me.
