I think Quora have done a really good job bringing together its own format with a working advertising system. What do you dislike about Quora Ads? I feel like it sends over a lot of invalid traffic. We get a surprisingly high number of clicks for very very low CPCs, but when you look at it on Analytics, it always shows 90%+ bounce rates and low engagement times. The interface is easy to learn, ads are easy to design and launch, and the reporting is better than we expected. I like that Quora ads are very similar to set up like Facebook or Linkedin Ads. That made it really easy to get setup and running quickly. I wish there was more examples on what types of ads placement are good for what type of campaign on Quora. There doesn't seem to be a knowledge library on best practices on site. Recommendations to others considering Quora Ads: I would suggest starting with a small budget on Quora ads to get to know the platform, placements, and targeting before investing a large ads budget. Also, the ads themselves get reasonable click-through rates because they are very contextual in their placements on Quora, vs. more obvious ads like on Facebook. The platform itself is rather clunky, and to understand what you are doing and what the value of one placement over another, it requires having an ad rep, which can take a little bit of time to acquire.
