Elaborated documentation and more regular updates to the product could help.

It has high flexibility using which we have created web apps & blogs. It is efficient and straightforward to use and gives excellent results.

  ### 2. Make Your Own CMS in Simple Steps with Quokka

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamanna B. | Project Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Quokka?**

It is open-source, available without complications i.e. easy to install. The API is very well implemented which makes it easy to use. CMS making is generally difficult as one need to take care of everything manually and provide easy access to the client. This process is eased with Quokka as it makes CMS on the go while you code.

**What do you dislike about Quokka?**

The documentation is not at all present. I mean there is no authentic informative source available from the Quokka Developers where one can learn it, one needs to depend on other sources. Also the support is not that good.

**Recommendations to others considering Quokka:**

You cannot rely on the official document, actually one doesn't exist! There are many sources where you can learn Quokka this is one : http://brunorocha.org/python/flask/quokka-cms-new-features-and-roadmap-to-beta-version.html

I advice everyone reading this to give Quokka a try if you are creating CMS manually. I promise you will shift to Quokka!

**What problems is Quokka solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At Easesolutions we have clients which need CMS for their applications. We use Quokka to build such CMS as per the client's requirements.

We choose Quokka over others as it is simple to use but still effective and gives great results.

  ### 3. Pyton based CMS generator

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tarang G. | Software Development Specialist, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Quokka?**

- It is easy to use compared to other options available for building Content Management System.
- The API is strong enough that one can without any prior knowledge of python coding make CMS or even simple websites or blogs with the same package.

**What do you dislike about Quokka?**

- The documentation is not that good and also they need to add some examples to it which helps newbies to learn without any external source.
- Also there should be regular updates, some of the problems with the library is yet not resolved.

**Recommendations to others considering Quokka:**

I personally have been using it for a while, it is easy to install plus simple to use. If you know basic python you can learn it within 2-3 days of practicing. Just follow the documentation and surf the internet for queries. It's a great library I advice everyone should at least give it a try.

**What problems is Quokka solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As it is easy to learn and simple to use, we at ML Hub use this package to build CMS on the go. Also due to it's flexibility where one can make simple web apps or even blogs, we use it for creating simple websites for our clients. It has proved itself over years and is worth using.

  ### 5. CMS with few lines of code

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prit T. | Software Development Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Quokka?**

- Apart from Content Management System, Quokka also supports creating blogs, building simple web apps and so on.
- Quokka gives power to generate CMS on the go which when created manually takes a lot of time.
- Also the API is so powerful and efficient that this whole processes can be done within a 20-30 lines of python code.

**What do you dislike about Quokka?**

The documentation is unsatisfactory and I think it needs major improvements. There is no dedicated page for API documentation and also one cannot find examples on the main documentation page.

**Recommendations to others considering Quokka:**

Here a tutorial for getting started with Quokka, it's very difficult to get a good tutorial as there are limited sources of Quokka to learn. This one will for sure help you : http://brunorocha.org/how-to-customize-quokka-cms-home-page-template.html

**What problems is Quokka solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we have clients that need some sort of CMS and web app for the product we delivered for them we use Quokka to develop such things. Quokka helps us to build such apps within a day or two so that we no need to have a dedicated team of developers for such tasks and also any one around can do the job. This only becomes true with the powerful API Quokka provides.

  ### 6. The best CMS Framework for Python

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alpesh S. | Project Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Quokka?**

- Firstly this library is open-source which means it's freely available for anyone to use.
- Also there a huge number of people using this library which makes ones task easier as there are many public forums available for discussing issues.
- Apart from CMS it also supports building simple web apps or blogs and so on.
- It's not difficult to learn as the API is simple and easy to understand as well as they have a well maintained and regularly updating documentation.

**What do you dislike about Quokka?**

Yes, it's one of best but I have a small issue with Quokka like it should have some more security features where a developer need not to take care of security explicitly and should be taken care by Quokka on the go. Similar to that django provides.

**Recommendations to others considering Quokka:**

There are lot of discussions on which CMS framework to use. There are various options available and django is on top in that list. I think both of them have some differences and one should choose according to his need. Here is a good comparison between two of them. I suggest you to go through it and get an idea what you should choose - https://www.slant.co/versus/1173/6302/~django-cms_vs_quokka-cms

**What problems is Quokka solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We ML Hub are a team concentrating to solve real life problems using best available technologies. As our clients need a web page or simple CMS for various reasons we use Quokka to build such portals. We prefer Quokka as it builds CMS on the go with a few API calls making our task easier.

  ### 7. CMS on the go

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajesh P. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Quokka?**

- It is open source and easy to install.
- The API support is also good which one can easily understand.
- It not only helps to makes CMS but also has support to build blogs and websites which is one of the best things about this framework.

**What do you dislike about Quokka?**

- This framework only supports python, making it difficult for the developers practicing any other language. There should be multiple language support and API should be available for different languages.
- The documentation is not up to the mark, needs improvement.

**Recommendations to others considering Quokka:**

There are various tutorials available on the internet but none are as perfect as this one - https://quintagroup.com/cms/python/quokka , I recommend all the newbies to go for it an learn as much as you can. I personally used this to get a head start in Quokka.

**What problems is Quokka solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We at ML Hub also have clients that needs us to also develop websites on the product or system we build at our organisation. We trust Quokka as it has a huge community support and also the framework is robust. One the things why we prefer Quokka is it builds CMS on the go.

  ### 8. Best CMF for python

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vivek S. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Quokka?**

The API is too good which allows one to make Content Management Systems with very less lines of code. The best thing is you no need to look out for details while you use Quokka it takes care of it on the fly. Apart from CMS one can use Quokka to make simple blogs, websites, applications. One more thing I would really like to mention is it supports Flasks too which masks easy for one to build REST APIs for their web applications.

**What do you dislike about Quokka?**

The documentation is not well maintained and is not that detailed too. When I started with Quokka it was difficult for me to learn only using the documentation. I need to depend on external sources which is not a good thing as per me.

**Recommendations to others considering Quokka:**

There are some major issues in this framework, like people have faced problems while installing it. I think one should be aware of all such issues before using it. I have a link to GitHub issues of this library : https://github.com/rochacbruno/quokka/issues . I suggest you should check this before starting with Quokka.

**What problems is Quokka solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 9. Quokka Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Quokka?**

Quokka has increased the open rate of the emails we send out weekly.

**What do you dislike about Quokka?**

Quokka is a fairly easy to use platform but I find it very simple, and does not have a ton of features.

**Recommendations to others considering Quokka:**

Very simple and easy to use, but customer support is not great and it does not have as many features as some of the more hgih-tech platforms.

**What problems is Quokka solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quokka has allowed me to create targetted email ads, and had increased my multichannel marketing.

Its not only a Content Management Framework but allows one to build anything related to web from simple static websites to extensions. It also supports TinyDB and MongoDB allowing one to easily mange data.

**What do you dislike about Quokka?**

Quokka is the only thing we use in our organisation to build CMS and simple extensions. So I personally have no dislikes for it. For me it works as a charm, without any problems.

**Recommendations to others considering Quokka:**

Quokka is not that easy to learn, refer different blogs and tutorials to learn it. This is my favourite one : http://brunorocha.org/python/flask/simple-login-extension-for-flask.html please do check once, it will be a great help.

**What problems is Quokka solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our own CMS is built using Quokka and we use the same to build CMS for every client's website.
