So, we use this method of bookkeeping for our non profit that predominantly works as sponsorships. We only create limited subcategories, making our records incomplete. **Recommendations to others considering Quicken:** Make sure that your needs do not exceed the limits of the program. **What problems is Quicken solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use quicken to keep track of all donations and expenditures. We keep track of all our students and houses...and their financial uses. ### 2. Depending on the version you have, it has every feature you could ask for including automatic download from almost every place you can thing of (and if they can't link to it you need only send them the information and they will work to make it available), bill management with alerts, asset and liability management, net worth and an app to access from your phone. It's very customization and you can separate personal from business for those self-employed. Great software! **What do you dislike about Quicken?** There is only one thing that would make the software go from great to excellent. The automatic transaction download fails more often then I like. The transactions to eventually download, but it may take a few tries. It doesn't happen all the time, but I don't think it should every happen. It that was fixed it would be the best available in my opinion. **What problems is Quicken solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am a small business owner so I use it for both my personal and business. It's easy to separate transactions between the two and sorts business transactions into the various tax categories allowing me to generate reports with the different tax schedule information needed for filing taxes. I also use the bill management and budgeting. I love it most. It's the best option for creating and managing a budget and bills. ### 7. We tried so many different options for our accounting and it came down to simpler is better. If you need just a way to track incoming checks and outgoing bills, don't get software with complicated features you don't need. Sometimes simple is best for a small business and this is simple and adaptive. **What do you dislike about Quicken?** I wish inputting data was easier and quicker.
