What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

Fairly easy to use without any formal training Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

"Useful for small business"
3/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

Completing tax returns for me was one of the main advantages of using Quickbooks. I love all the integration features & we implement some of the main API functionality to run automation across the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

I find that it has a bit of a steep-ish learning curve which for someone who doesn't have much time to learn on the job, i had to take some of the online courses to get fully up to speed. I have also found that implementing workflows using the API is not as straightforward for the development team as we had hoped. It's quite restrictive in certain places. "QBO is a Must-Have, Industry Staple Product"
3/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

Intuit's gigantic resource base and overall scale, combined with this product's ease of use, makes it, undeniably, the dominant player in the market that every accountant or bookkeeper needs in his or her tool belt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

Intuit's dominant presence, as mentioned above, comes with a few unfortunate downsides, however. Most notably, the price of QuickBooks Online continually increases, even though it already is the highest-priced option (by far). Also, customer support can sometimes be lacking and the company's overall consideration of the customer is not what is used to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good for small business"
2.5/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

QuickBooks Online is a great tool for a small business owner that doesn't have a strong accounting background. The online version gives the flexibility to link accountants into the software to provide support without them having to be on site to have access. QuickBooks is designed to help the small business owner manage their finances and tries to be helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

As an accountant, QuickBooks is severely lacking in it's reporting flexibility as a company grows. Currently our CEO wants to see reports that I can't get out of QuickBooks, so I have to export the information and then do a lot of manual manipulation. The way it tries to be helpful can sometimes hinder me in what I'm trying to accomplish. The separation of access levels is weak Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not Great But Still Valuable..."
3/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

Intuit stays on the forefront of technology and QBO allows you to creatively use the improvements we've seen in the tech field over the last 10 years where other accounting software just can't. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

The intuitive workflow does NOT work for traditional accountants or anyone who has been successful using Quickbooks Desktop in the past. It is far to easy for me (not to mention my clients) to get caught in a repetitive loop of issues when it comes to bank reconciliations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My Experience of QBO"
3/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

Particularly while updating bank statements in QBO, we just need to upload the standard format Excel file to QBO and QBO itself categorize the transaction by checking from previous transaction and you can also set a rule for instance, there is an expense of bank charges, and you always charge 20% Vat on purchases, so you can save that rule, ultimately in future system will not ask you about how to record Bank charges Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

Well, as discussed above, when we upload bank statement in Excel format to QBO, some of the transaction are misinterpreted by QBO, for instance there is a particular expense while QBO reads it as Uncategorized Income. So we can to check every single transaction to check that it has been classified correctly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good accounting program but expensive"
2.5/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

I love the fact that I can take my quickbooks online anywhere and bill clients on the go. I can use my phone , surface, or laptop to send estimates or invoices in the field. All transactions sync instantly so while i am on the road my secretary can take payments and all is good. The set up is fairly simple, and the ability to add services and products is perfect for my computer retail store and should work good for most retail service locations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

The price is high per month, and quickbooks has increased once on me in the past year with no noticeable changes in the software. The option to export your data data file completly can only be done by calling in and using the old internet explorer. Support is almost nonexistent. It is terrible the reps keep you on hold for long periods of time if they answer at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
