What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

I love the accessibility of QuickBooks Online as I can access it from anywhere. The setup process was straightforward, making it easy to get started. I appreciate the automation features, such as generating reminder invoices to clients and categorizing expenses in my checkbook, which streamline my accounting tasks. What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

What problems is QuickBooks Online solving and how is that benefiting you?

We used QuickBooks Payments to process ACH transactions for our small business. Unfortunately, three large payments were later reversed after we had already delivered the product, resulting in over $30,000 in losses. These transactions were initially marked as cleared by QuickBooks, and we were given no ability to dispute or intervene in the reversal process.

The loss included $24,747 in unrecoverable physical product that was shipped and later seen resold out of state, which has been reported to the FBI. Despite our efforts to escalate the issue and request assistance, QuickBooks cited their Terms of Service and declined to offer any reimbursement or solution.

This experience has been extremely damaging to our small business. We strongly urge other merchants using QuickBooks to understand that ACH payments processed through this platform are not protected, and can be pulled back months later — even after funds are transferred and fulfillment has occurred.

We’ve since switched to a different processor with stronger fraud tools, delayed fulfillment protocols, and merchant dispute rights. We hope our experience helps other small businesses make more informed decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
