"Efficient and Accessible, But Needs Improved Integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

I love that QuickBooks Online Advanced is online, allowing me to access it from anywhere, even when I'm on vacation. It's like I'm sitting in my office at home. I also appreciate how easy it is to get reports and the information I need. Exporting detailed information is straightforward, and setting up new classes and products is simple. With so many changes and updates we need to handle, QuickBooks makes it easy to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

I think some of the integrations could be improved. I've really struggled with an integration they have with Amazon. When it works, it works really well, but a lot of times, there's just huge delays, and I'm trying to come up with workarounds. Also, QuickBooks trips us up sometimes because they'll make updates to the template that is needed for uploading sales receipts, and I don't get notified of the changes. All of a sudden, uploads are no longer working, and I have to go download a new template. It can be solved, it's not impossible, but I'm not quite sure why we're not told when things are going to change. If there was an update notification, like letting us know that they're gonna update a common form we upload, that'd be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Feature-Rich for Small Businesses: Easy Check Printing and Budget Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

It has a lot of useful features, especially for smaller companies. Being able to print our own checks and manage our budgets ourselves goes a long way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

I don’t like the addition of AI, especially when it relates to banking. AI doesn’t need to be involved in finance given the potential for errors and how specific funds can be. I’d like an option to turn off the AI integration.

I also don’t like that the layout keeps changing, because it makes it harder to find what I’m looking for. We use the payroll feature as well, and we’re required to have a QBO file and pay our payroll taxes through it instead of doing it ourselves, which can create more opportunities for mistakes. "Modern, Fast, and Feature-Rich Upgrade"
4/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

QuickBooks Online Advance has many features that work well and better than QuickBooks Desktop, as that was the transition for me. The user interface is more modern looking and easier to use. The integration with other data bases is simpler and the performance is faster in my opinion. The pricing is more expensive than desktop, but I sure it's due to the cloud storage and the utilization of more features. The onboarding was simple, but did not go too much in depth on how to use all the features accordingly, will need to explore on your own and get familiarized with all the available features. The AI function is very intuitive, can help with quick questions and customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

The features that are available takes sometime to utilize correctly, as the platform varies from its desktop version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive but Overwhelming for Small Businesses"
4/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

I like that QuickBooks Online Advanced allows us to keep track of our sales, purchases, and expenditures. It gives us the ability to forecast the future and see how quickly or slowly certain customers pay their invoices. I also appreciate the dashboard, which lets me see current sales and quickly compare them to previous years or quarters. The available reports, like our P&L, are very useful. The initial setup was pretty easy, which was a relief. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

I think some of it's a little overwhelming if you're not used to it. For smaller businesses, it's a little cumbersome or a little too over the top. It has some features that we don't use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Interactive AI Support and Detailed Reports That Make Trend Reviews Easy"
4.5/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

The AI support is interactive and provides quick reports that make reviewing sales trends and spending fast and easy. Overall, the reporting is detailed and straightforward to adjust to my requirements. Customer support is also available when needed, and the team is knowledgeable in their respective areas. What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

Even though you have your own customer service team, it still takes time to get through, and I often get bounced around until I finally reach the right person who can help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient, Easy-to-Use Accounting Tool for Small Agencies"
4.5/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

I find QuickBooks Online Advanced very easy to use on both mobile and desktop. Having similar access and a consistent user interface across both platforms is a big benefit for me. I don't have to learn two different user interfaces, and everything mostly provides the same experience, which makes life and business a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

I think one of the areas would be having a way to chart my accounts and what I invoice my clients for, like, the different service types. But then having a way to show my client an invoice that makes more sense to them. So while I might need to invoice one way to keep my book straight, my clients wanna see an invoice that more so reflects the exact work descriptions that we're doing for them, and there's not a way to do that. "Invoice Duplication Saves Time and Simplifies Billing"
4/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

Duplicating invoices saves a lot of time, since I don’t have to retype the customer and billing information every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

Batch billing is an issue. I need to go into the old format and if I go past 20 lines it doesn't accept the information as well. Additionally, adding multiple vendors in the same batch can be glitchy.

Printing. If I want to print a customer invoice, I need to select the customer, select the invoice, select options, select print, then a preview comes up and I select print again, then the printer form comes up and I select print again. Once printed, I close the print preview, have to select whether to accept whether to record if I printed or not, then close the invoice - before I can go to the next invoice and do the process again. Very time consuming when numerous invoices need to be printed at the same time.

Not sure this one can be solved, but I have multiple companies and have to switch between them often. It would be nice if I could open them up under different tabs at the same time, but it does not currently allow for it, causing alot of wasted time. Example: I have an invoice from each company to be sent to one customer. I have to switch from one to the other to ensure seamless invoicing. But 3 of my sales reps do the double invoicing, ensuring separation of our catering and venue billing. If I have 4 from each sales reps and need to do one at a time to ensure seamless invoicing. I will need to switch back and forth 12 times. Switching takes 2-3mins each time (that's over half an hour just to swap on invoicing). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Features, Painful Setup"
5/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

I find QuickBooks Online Advanced to be a stable software with a lot of help available, not just from the software itself but also from other businesses that can run my QuickBooks. I like the ability to hire someone to manage it. I'm also happy with the bill pay feature, especially the ability to ACH and ship out paper checks. It's really valuable that QuickBooks can send checks on my behalf, making my accounting process a lot smoother. Plus, I like how it integrates seamlessly with my project management software, JobTread, making it a huge advantage for my operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

I'm trying to think here. Man, you can make it free. It'd be great. It was a pain in the ***. And, you know, it took us a while to actually have a wherewithal of QuickBooks. So I would say QuickBooks can definitely improve by, you know, maybe having a class on some best practices, you know, maybe cut more tailored and, like, a client success manager to kinda get you off the ground. And helping us know because it took a while to be able to articulate to somebody else what we actually need QuickBooks to do, and that was a real pain in the ***. "Easy Navigation, Time-saving imports, Needs Refinement for Construction"
3.5/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

It is easy to use and navigate between the different applications. The ability to upload PDF files to create bills using AI is a time-saver. I like that I can open several different tabs at the same time to compare data within different applications. The pricing is reasonable for a small company. I feel like they are always looking for ways to improve the product as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

It isn't designed in a way that is ideal for construction companies, which is what our business is. I also wish bills could be imported using the product/services section of the bill rather than the categories so we would have better insights into what we are buying. There's no functionality to run a report that gives me that data unless the items are entered as products instead of categories. The help function often leads to answers that aren't relevant to what I'm trying to figure out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Missing Key QB Desktop Features Despite Easy Data Uploads"
2.5/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

It’s widely used, so it’s easy to hire accountants who already have prior QB experience. It also lets me upload data from other programs, such as Ramp and Kelly Benefits, which makes the transition and ongoing work much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online Advanced?

Missing features from QB desktop. When an employee is assigned to change the dates on a custom report, it creates a new report instead of simply updating or replacing the existing custom report. New employees also don’t have access to the existing custom reports. On large custom reports, the print/export buttons are pushed all the way to the far right of the spreadsheet, so you have to scroll right just to reach them. Custom reports are automatically alphabetized, and there’s no way to customize their order.

Balance sheet reports also can’t be filtered by account—only by Customer, Vendor name, Product/Service, and Class. After using the Recurring Transactions function, the transaction doesn’t automatically roll forward to the next month’s date, so the user has to manually edit the Recurring Transaction template.

Customized Budget to Actual reports also automatically scroll down, which hides the editable fields used to create the report and forces the user to scroll back to the top every time they need to make a change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
