If you have been doing everything in Excel you'll be pleased with the scale -- go from keep it easy right up to "I'm a pro." Sometimes it takes a bit of searching – both within QB and Google – to figure out how to do stuff. And sometimes you do stuff and then your accountant says that was incorrect, so you redo it, or they fix it. Recommendations to others considering QuickBooks Online Accountant: If you have a small business – or two, like I have – and if you've been doing everything in Excel, take the next step by moving to Quickbooks, and work closely with your bookkeeper and/or Accountant to set it up. QBO lets me do some of the easy stuff so that my bookkeeper and accountant can do the heavy lifting: I save money. In combination with Dext (formerly Receipt Bank) and MileIQ, much of day-to-day accounting is now automated.
