Unlike traditional off-the-shelf software, which often requires users to conform to predefined structures, Quickbase empowers organizations to create customized solutions that align with their specific needs. This flexibility is crucial for companies seeking to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce the burden of 'Gray Work' - what we call the time-consuming tasks and manual processes that arise from using rigid software systems. Whether it's a 50 person small business or a large enterprise, organizations can benefit from a platform that allows them to connect disparate data sources, automate repetitive tasks, and scale their competitive advantages. Quickbase is particularly valuable for teams that rely on collaboration and data-driven decision-making, as it fosters an environment where information flows seamlessly and processes are optimized. Key features of Quickbase include its intuitive interface, which allows users to build custom applications without extensive coding knowledge. This user-friendly design enables teams to quickly adapt the platform to their specific workflows, ensuring that they can address unique challenges without the need for extensive IT support. Additionally, Quickbase offers powerful automation capabilities, allowing users to set up triggers and workflows that reduce manual effort and streamline operations. The platform also supports integration with various data sources, enabling businesses to consolidate their information and gain valuable insights. One of the standout benefits of Quickbase is its ability to scale with your business. As organizations grow and evolve, their processes often become more complex. Quickbase's adaptable nature ensures that users can modify their applications and workflows as needed, without the constraints typically associated with traditional software. ## Quickbase Reviews
 ### 1. Some good and some bad things.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristopher Cabreira C. | Patient Family Advisor - Co-Chair (Volunteer), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Being able to customize a database and having different options to how the database works is awesome!

I like the idea of the Office Hours however, I wish there were more opportunities/times available (instead of 1 hour each day).

There are ways to create custom roles for internal and external users; this helps keep certain data/internal processes private.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

They force changes on the users (e.g. the Sidebar Navigation versus Top Navigation); changes in how some of the reporting graphs are (e.g. the total change from a gauge chart to a totally different circular design).

These changes without letting the end user decide what is best for them is not very customer friendly.

There should be more individualized trainings available, specific to what the business users needs are; I don't mind the general training/certification, but it's too generalized and doesn't always fit the actual training needed.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm still waiting to hear about the graph issue I shared a several weeks ago.

The current graphs shorten long titled categories (on bar charts, pie charts, etc.). Yes, the new dashboard does fix this, which is great. However, the new dashboard gets rid of the current gauge charts and replaces them with some circular design.

I wouldn't mind switching to the new dashboard if we can keep using the current gauge charts. OR, fix the issue with the long titled categories having "..." on the charts on the current dashboard.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on Quickbase. We're pleased to hear that you value the customization and role creation features. We understand your concerns about the forced changes and the need for more tailored training options. Your feedback will be taken into account as we strive to enhance our platform.

 ### 2. Very easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve P. | Sr. IT Analyst/Database Administrator/Construction Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Our company has used Quickbase for eight years. Originally set up by our VP of Operations, I was brought on two years later. I was able to learn everything about Quickbase on my own, through the University, and have created and maintained a dozen apps since then. Much more user friendly than early databases such as Oracle. I have also had some outstanding customer service and support from the teams at Quickbase.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Not being able to customize some of the apps, fields, and reports, can sometimes be a little frustrating. Some of our users are not computer saavvy, we are in the construction business, and they have their own ideas of what they would like to see and work with but it isn' always possible. Instances of table relationships causing issues, not integrating the way we would like, can also cause minor pain. Overall, I have had very few issues that couldn't be solved one way or another. Lastly, some of the new UI features are not as "user friendly" as they were before the updates. This makes navigation somewhat cumbersome at times, especially for those who have limited computer knowledge. They are comfortable with the way it's set up and then it changes, which isn't ideal for them.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Quickbase as a job tracker, equipment inventory & maintenance record, monitor safety records and information, employee information, just about everything that happens in the company is tracked through Quickbase.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Quickbase easy to use and that it has been a valuable tool for your company over the years. We appreciate your feedback about customization and user interface, and we're continuously working to improve our platform based on customer input. Thank you for being a loyal Quickbase user!

 ### 3. Great for fast deployment, easy enhancements, and international use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edward H. | Chief Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase allows me to go from a concept to an actual application within an hour, yet is also flexible enough that I can make additions or changes to the system later on. There is a good support network of people using it, and ChatGPT knows the system well enough that it can provide support as well. The "per use" pricing (rather than "per user") allows us to roll it out to all of our customers without taking a major cost hit.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The salespeople are sometimes slow to respond, and they don't have the technical background that I would like to see. Also, they seem to be transitioning to supporting larger customers, so smaller ones like me (4 major applications, a few hundred users, most of whom are light-usage customers) don't get as much consideration as new options are rolled out.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking of different parts being shipped worldwide, including back order tracking.
Generating price quotes.
Tracking labor spent on different activities with the simplicity of a QR code for clocking in and out.
Many other logistics.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> We appreciate your feedback on the ease of deployment and flexibility of Quickbase. We understand the importance of responsive sales support and technical expertise, and we will work to address these areas. It's great to hear how Quickbase has benefited your business in tracking shipments, generating price quotes, and managing labor activities.

 ### 4. Very effective and sophisticated database application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dinesh V. | Automation Head, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2015

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase platform is like a canvas that enables to create any kind of business workflows implemented in quick turnaround. It's only the creativity we need to create any kind of sophisticated functionalities right-from the intuitive user forms, impactful reports/dashboards and seamless process automation making use of pipelines.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The capability to manage large data over 2 million records and the easeness of archiving the data can be improved. It will help to make it a large enterprise solution.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickbase is proved to be a great platform to build great project management, order management and ticket management solutions. It helps to have quicker development cycles while also gives leverage to make any structural changes as and when needed. This makes the solution more scalable and robust. The pipelines functionality adds more power to the platform by enabling us to create seamless data and process flows. We use APIs for extensibility building many custom utilities and integrations around the main system.

 ### 5. QuickBase has been implemented in our business for CRM and document management for 17 years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hongkun L. | Principal Application Scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

(1) Easy to learn
(2) low cost
(3) Good interface
(4) Low maintenance
(5) cloud base
(6) Easy connection with other apps
(7) Continuedly add new features, such as AI

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The performance has been improved a lot compared to the previous years.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

(1) Linked many business units in one place
(2) Automation reminder provides help
(3) Centralize all data management
(4) Connect to different business units'
(5) Save time for operations

 ### 6. Years of use - getting better in time

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff E. | Virtual Training Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I think there are a lot of good options within this platform. They have been focusing on upgrading the technology with AI and other options to make a cleaner approach. We utilize different options within this platform, including our primary reporting database, project management, among others. The tools have become easier to use over time. More recently the support team has become helpful.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

My first thought is the customer support. Over years of use, we have had numerous CSMs, Account Managers, etc...many of which were non-responsive, unsupportive, and in many cases difficult to work with. While that had gotten better in 2022-2023, it fell off again in 2024. It's a revovlving door of people who don't seem to know much about our account. There's no one to reach out to check in or provide updates on new products or tools.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, it provides our entire reporting database. We upgraded this over the past couple of years with better dashboards. It's still a little clunky, but it's progressing. The Project Management platform has not been as successful. We hope that with upgrades, this will allow us to better manage our projects in a more streamlined fashion. It's been a struggle to adapt to the use as the process of adding and creating within the project management piece is somewhat manual.

 ### 7. SO good, user friendly for basics, advanced features are there but get understandably dense.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** andre m. | Senior Solar Asset Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

My team made our own platform for project, maintenance, and performance tracking. It has everything we could ask for and more. With a little help from IT we have automatic APIs pulling in production data as well.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Not really quickbase's fault, but the more I add the more complicated it gets. Sometimes it is not the best or most customizable at first glance, but usually there are backdoors to get the look you want, but it may involve some light code.

Unsure how it scales, sometimes it is slow to load, but we have a loooot going on in the background now which may have something to do with it.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

letting us track all details on our projects, maintenance cases, dispatches, performance, and a whole plethora of related things. Pulls in information from various sources automatically, exports data to powerBI reports, integrates with 3rd party tools, even pulls data from Dynamics...

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> We're glad to hear that Quickbase has been user-friendly for your team's basic needs and that you've been able to create a platform for project, maintenance, and performance tracking. It's great to know that you've been able to integrate automatic APIs to pull in production data as well.

 ### 8. Not A Fan of Quickbase

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JC N. | Regional Political Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

It was a central location for the work I needed to do

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The UX is terrible. It displays too much information and makes it harder than it needs to be to view the information you want to view. It is incredibly difficult to customize. I have dozens of columns and I need to use like 3-4. If I hid all of the columns that I did not want to use they would all come back if I was to refresh or leave the page.

PDFs that were uploaded to QB could be intergrated better into the app. You should be able to view a PDF within a window in QB. If I wanted to view a PDF in QB I had to download it and as a result I had to download the same PDF multiple times, which cluttered my downloads folder. QB should also have a built in video player to view video that is linked to in QB.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me track work that I am doing and approval of products our organization is creating

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We understand the importance of a user-friendly interface and efficient customization. Your suggestions for integrating PDFs and a built-in video player will be taken into account for future enhancements.

 ### 9. Quick Base is a flexible platform to handle your business information

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris N. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I love that Quick Base is fully customizable. Our company started with it as a basic CRM software and over time we have integrated into our business end-to-end. Seriously, the only phase of the business not touched by Quick Base is banking. If you have the ability to make basic functions in Excel, you can learn how to use Quick Base and make it work for your business. It's a lot easier to use than you would think, because the system is "low code" and relies on basic concepts like conditional statements and table relationships. Whenever I come up with an idea, the time from idea to implementation is incredibly short and the process is easy. We use it all day, every day and it's hard to imagine life without it. The few time's I've reachout to customer support, everyone I've dealt with has been very helpful and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The one real downside about Quick Base is the minimum required users. If you have a small company, it may be a stretch to afford as you'll be required to have more users than you'll need.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to see information about our business that we've never had access to in the past... it's helped us be more aware of trends and address issues more quickly than in the past. Now we're using actual data, not just "feelings" about how the business is doing.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Quick Base. We're glad to hear that the platform's flexibility and ease of use have been beneficial for your business. We understand your concern about the minimum required users and will take this feedback into consideration for future improvements.

 ### 10. Quickbase software to the rescue!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lua V. | Senior Quality Assurance Supervisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase has been used by my department since 2021 to replace forms used in Excel. The form creation is so easy and intuitive and reporting is a breeze to do! The ability to customize data entry, notifications, and import/export data is off the charts. This has helped us to report metrics to our stakeholders more efficently and drive productivity. I use this product all day every day for various audit requirements for my day to day work.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Without a coding background, some of the more technical parts of Quickbase can be laborious and it doesn't have a sandbox environment to test before rolling into production.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our audit work had previously lived in Excel and the data being collected and reported started to get cumbersome in Excel; file size too large to email, difficulty continuing to add data, changing of requirements. Quickbase has solved that problem and still allows for us to retrieve archived data to review. Our effeciency has increased as well as allowing people to become SME with developing apps within Quickbase and those people development/training opportunties help with career advancement as well as growing their confidence

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Quickbase. We understand the challenges of the technical aspects for users without a coding background and are always looking for ways to enhance the platform's usability. Your input is valuable to us.

 ### 11. Quickbase is a flexible and effective solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve T. | I'm in transition, but my primary duties include Quickbase realm management and data collection and centralization., Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

It is very flexible and very capable. It is capable of delivering just about any solution I can imagine, whether that is creating new spaces for processes or connecting to multiple data sources for a single dashboard solution for my internal customers. It is easy to set up new workspaces for nearly any data, workflow or communication need a company might have. It is fairly simple to integrate most data sources into solutions that can encourage users to use it everyday. The customer service team is very responsive, and tutorials are available for nearly every subject.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The standard views can be a bit plain visually, causing some internal customers to choose flashier, less capable solutions. Some of the more advanced methods can be a bit daunting to figure out, even with fairly robust tutorials.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cross functional collaboration for programs and projects, communication between users, contributors, and decision makers is always a challenge. We are using Quickbase to make those requirements easier and more convenient.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that you find Quickbase capable of delivering solutions for your processes and data integration needs. We understand the importance of user-friendly interfaces and are continuously working to improve the visual appeal of our standard views.

 ### 12. Essential tool that saves time, effort, and money.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd S. | Business Owner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I appreciate the ability to start easily, small, and gradually build on its strengths. I began with a table that contained vendor information and expanded it based on the needs I encountered. Now, I manage eight different processes within one application and oversee a total of six applications that handle my department's workload. It’s ready to add functionality and notifications at a moment's notice. Quickbase makes it easy to integrate and adapt quickly and reliably. Rolling it out is a dream and I hardly have to ask for Customer Support.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

When using SSO, it won't allow you to choose someone's nickname. It may be an Active Directory limitation. However, I have someone named Robert who goes by Bill. We use the product heavily and daily.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ticket submissions, Vendor submissions, Software renewal automations, onboarding new contractors, advertising open positions, Order entry.

 ### 13. Quickbase has enabled rapid development in a slow IT enviornment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron H. | App Dev 4, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase formulas are incredibly powerful
QB connected tables make moving data easy
the QB API is robust and fast

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Whenever QB purchases new tech, they ham fistedly push it onto customers before the integration makes sense. This happened with pipelines and fast field.

Pipelines is a great addition now, but when it was aquired it was substandard.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickbase has made data sharing between departments incredibly easy. It has also allowed for development without waiting for the long IT delivery times.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback on Quickbase! We're thrilled to hear that you find our formulas, connected tables, and API powerful and efficient. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the introduction of new technologies like pipelines and fast field. Your input is valuable, and we will work on improving the integration process for future updates.

It's great to hear that Quickbase has helped streamline data sharing between departments and expedited development processes for you. If you have any further suggestions or encounter any issues, please feel free to reach out to us. We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to serve your needs.

 ### 14. Functional, Convenient, Intuitive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca G. | Operations Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

The way I describe Quickbase when explaining how it can be used in our organization, is that we ourselves can easily customize each database - adding, removing or changing fields as needed, controlling access/rights, creating our own reports which we can schedule to be sent automatically by duration (ex. daily, weekly, monthly) or when conditions are met (ex. a new record is added or changed), etc. We dont have to wait for someone else somewhere else to consider and respond to our requests to create or update our systems.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Like every single system ever made, it isnt perfect. There are rare occassions when we break the system. But we can easily undo whatever change we shouldnt have made, and do it again correctly.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Quickbase to manage projects, track time, record inspections and meetings, and share documents.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback! We understand that no system is perfect, but we're pleased to hear that you can easily undo any unintended changes in Quickbase. We're committed to continuously improving our platform to minimize disruptions.

 ### 15. Awesome Tool for Work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick P. | System Developer and Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I like how adaptable it is to almost any situation that arises. Awesome for making reports, calculating data, what you can do with this tool always amazes me. It is very wasy to use and if I do not understand something the customer support is very helpful. I took many classes that they offer online and made me comfortable bringing it to the team.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The downsides are it is taking time for me to learn how to fully use the pipelines and coding aspects, as well as doing things with API's. I am not very experinced in this and am trying to learn it myself.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us keep track of a lot of medical data such as peoples names, address, doctors, financials, payables, devices, insurances, pretty much everything we need it to do it can do.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Quickbase! We're thrilled to hear that you find it adaptable and easy to use. We understand that learning pipelines, coding, and APIs can be challenging, but we're here to help. Our customer support team is always available to assist you with any questions or issues you may have. Additionally, we offer resources such as online classes to help you further enhance your skills. We're glad to hear that Quickbase is helping you keep track of medical data efficiently. If you need any assistance with pipelines, coding, or APIs, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to support you every step of the way.

 ### 16. The support staff has been great.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy M. | Company Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

The streamlined information distribution and client connectivity is great. We work with a remote staff so connecting 100 staff with ever-changing information can be challenging. With the database we have setup in QuickBase it makes distribution and updating a breeze. With our clients processing applicants (We have an HR recruiting company), communicating updates back to our recruiters is seamless. We have increased the speed of hiring and increased profits because of this.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

There is a lot of clicking. Sometimes I refer to it as Clickbase since it takes so many clicks to accomplish a task. If you are not a developer it can be very overwhelming. I am lucky to have a great support person at QuickBase walking us though everything. It is a lenghtly process but I see the light.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The flow of communication

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> It's great to hear that QuickBase has helped improve the flow of communication for your HR recruiting company, leading to increased speed of hiring and profits. We're committed to making the platform more user-friendly for all our customers.

 ### 17. Overall QuickBase Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

QuickBase is an intensly powerful tool depending on how it's being used. My organization leverages QuickBase in ways that nearly no one leverages the platform. It's Low-Code to No-Code driven solution makes the platform that much better in being able to generate things on demand.

Pipelines is the bread winner. It's generally easy to integrate with both internal and external functions!

Platform uptime is significantly impressive.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

I do not like the fact that QuickBase deprecates functionality without identical/working alternatives.

Certain Formulaic Items can get a bit tricky and can be tough to implement. There's not enough documentation available related to Formulas where it can get specific to your Application, Enviornment & or Business Needs. Even if you are a QuickBase Expert you will run into some challenges. (This will likely change with the implementation of AI)

The QuickBase Application Table Sizes can sometimes be tough to work within the confines of said table size, due to the maximum table size within QuickBase's Platform, there is a lot of functionality that I am unable to take advantage of as the Data Set Sizes I'd need would quickly exceed the allowed table size. This in turn forces us to build code to generate the equivalent of what we could get out of QuickBase Natively.

Cannot stand that every report you can download from QuickBase has to be in .CSV, would be nice if .XLS or .XLSX is supported, same for PDF Reports. Especially given that Subscription Reports have the ability to email out the same report as a PDF.

If you are not a Jinja Ninja, pipelines can be a bit tough to work with. Native QuickBase fields/sub-fields are widely used within QuickBase however you cannot leverage Pipelines Natively within a "Search Records" step to procure the data you need, instead you'd have to do a Make Request to the QuickBase API's to procure the same data, when you leverage the QuickBase API in many cases you will require Jinja to parse the response payloads which is also tricky.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBase Solves a lot of issues in terms of being a Front End UI for both Internal and External Users.

Data collection is the biggest one, for example. It would take 30 seconds to create a new field, make it visible to a specific user on a form where as if you needed to do this in something like an Angular or React Front End it requires code changes to both the front end and the back end.

In our organizations use case, it's significant that we have the ability to "Stage" all the changes we need to have done which will interface with backend code based solutions.

 ### 18. Quickbase review from an Admin's perspective

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy K. | Networking, Sales & Marketing of my Career, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Easy to develop business processes and workflows.
Simple, easy reporting and dashboards.
Connectivity between other data sources.
New AI capabilities
Consistent look and feel for end users.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

User interfaces are outdated.
Allows notifications and subscriptions to send emails with no post-tracking tool
Audit logging is improving, but there is still room for improvement.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Quickbase as the Mortor to fill in the gaps of our big block systems like, SAP, Sales Force, Dynamics, etc.

 ### 19. Quickbase for the win!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Novia H. | Applications Support Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I think that all Quickbase users will agree that being able to build a fully functioning app with low-no code is amazing! I actually enjoy development and writing code but it's nice to have a time-saving option. I love the AI feature where you can describe the type of app you wish to build and the system will build it out for you. Another really amazing offering is the Exchange. This is a platform where you can find pre-built applications that you can integrate into an existing app or use as a starting point for a new app build.

I appreciate how Quickbase offers a structured path for learning and certification. The fundamentals training was a great starting point, and the certification paths are clear and helpful. The resources available, like the on-demand training and office hours with experts, make it easier to get up to speed and solve any issues that come up. The ability to use a builder account to test things out without affecting our main account is also very useful

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

There was definitely a learning curve with Quickbase, as there would be with any new product. The backend structure can be a little difficult to undestand at first. One big learning curve for me is that I am used to working with relational databases and Quickbase uses a slightly different concept than a relational database so that took some adjustment for me. These aren't necessarily "dislikes" just points of difficulty for me.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilized Quickbase to automate an internal process that our users had been doing manually for years. We were able to integrate with our accounting system to bring in user information and a wide range of data. This allowed us greater reporting capabilities and ease of use. Our users are extremely happy with how much the application has improved thier process and the amount of time saved.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> We're glad to hear that Quickbase has been able to automate your internal process and improve reporting capabilities for your users. It's great to know that the application has saved time and improved efficiency for your team. Thank you for sharing your experience!

 ### 20. An excellent platform for quickly prototyping and delivering new data-heavy processes and workflows

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

The biggest upside is the platform's instant prototyping for data structures and templated reporting.
You can quickly scale up new data structures and processes to test workflows.

The general customer support is responsive to email/portal queries and questions.
The general interface is easy to use for non-technical users who have any experience with any web-based
The Proserve (purchased block of consulting hours) support is excellent. Quickbase has suite of experts with deep knowledge in specific focus areas - we engaged them around API usage, data validity and overall platform governance - they were engaged.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The downside of the interface simplicity is the lack of custom controls, logic and validation - if you have complex data entry/data validation needs, you may need to look to other automation platforms to handle data validation.
Luckily, the APIs are near complete coverage and make data automation in and out of the platform easy. The platform scales well to many users and SaaS uptime was never an issue.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickbase is a great platform to quickly design and scale up workflows, projects and other low-code data-intensive initatives; it provides excellent data visibility for management and analysts. Quickbase is excellent for speed-to-market and iterative design; letting us handle integratins quickly w/o having to design a low-code from scratch.

 ### 21. Quickbase deployment in small business setting

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

The biggest benefits for our organization have been the relability and speed of working with large data sets. It is easy to create most simple apps and connect data in relatively simple ways. When we have more complex requirements it can be more difficult, especially for users with no coding experience. Our team uses Quickbase daily for a number of different work tasks. Implementation went smoothly with native support for a salesforce connection which helped us automatically refresh data from a key client.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Customer support is lacking severly. Self serve options are to search forums which often have outdated information which can send you down a rabbit hole that doesnt even solve the issue at hand. Support has been decent over email or phone, but can take considerable time and is totally hands off in an attempt to drive sales for enablement services. We were afforded an hour of enablement through our customer success manager to build a simple Google Sheet pipeline, but after the builder couldn't figure it out we were simply delegated to regular support to resolve the issue which didn't provide any confidence in the value of paid enablement services. We are in our 3rd year with Quickbase are reviewing other options as we are not confident we are receiving the most value out for the premium price of the service.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickbase is helping us keep our improtant data safe, private and easy to work without us having to worry about cloud infrastructure and data backups. It provides easy, customaizable ways (forms) for our teams to interact with our data and report on it.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> We apologize for the difficulties you've experienced with customer support. We are constantly working to improve our support options and will take your feedback into consideration. We appreciate your loyalty and hope to regain your confidence in the value of our service.

 ### 22. QuickBase is a powerful tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pamela K. | Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

QB is a tool which I use on a daily basis. It is very easy to use. Has a user-friendly interface and is low-code. It's easy to create and maintain variety of apps. It can be adapted to a wide range of business needs. It offers a high degree of customization. But what I love the most is automation capabilities. Using Pipelines we can automate repetitve tasks and workflows, saving huge amount of time. Customer Support is brilliant.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Sometimes there are integration challenges with aour current processes. QuickBase has also limited JavaScript functionallity.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If I have any issues in Quickbase that i can't solve, I schedule a callwith QB Expert. They always know how to help me

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for your positive feedback! We're glad to hear that you find QuickBase easy to use and appreciate its user-friendly interface and low-code capabilities. Our automation features, such as Pipelines, are designed to save you time and streamline your workflows. We understand that integration challenges and limited JavaScript functionality can be frustrating, and we're continuously working to improve in these areas. We're thrilled to hear that our customer support has been brilliant for you. We appreciate your support!

 ### 23. Quickbase is an effective no code database that is transforming our ability to track our data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew P. | Principal, Data & Analytics/Digital Services (Chief Data and AI Officer), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I have used Quickbase since 2006 and it is a great product. Underneath the hood it is a true relational database but it presents a very user friendly interface to non-technical users. I have created 100s of QB apps over the years and the majority of them I started myself from a spreadsheet or from scratch and then handed it off to a non technical user to continue to build. Unlike other supposedly no or low code systems, it really makes it very easy to create data tracking tools very quickly. It address that gap between excel and a custom development project for use cases which are too complicated for the former and too niche to make the latter cost effective. It also gives the ability to create a completely custom html/javascript interface from scratch if necessary. Finally, it is very cost effective and much cheaper than competitors.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The quickbase interface leaves something to be desired. It has too much whitespace which sometimes makes it hard to navigate and is a little clunky. However the fact that you can code a completely custom HTML interface from scratch within the app somewhat makes up for that.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickbase is an ideal tool for situations where you need to track and report on data but it is getting too complicated for what you can do with excel and it is too niche a use case for an off the shelf tool or custom development project. We have used it for client tracking, project tracking, help desk ticket tracking, centralizing client data, grants management, data collection, etc. Anything where you are tracking data rather than milestones. While you can use to to do project management etc, there are more dedicated tools for that like monday.com etc.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate your insights on the Quickbase interface and will certainly take your comments into consideration for future improvements. We're glad to hear that the ability to create a custom HTML interface has been beneficial for you.

 ### 24. Game changer.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase cmprehensively met a need for us 15 years ago that we couldn't find in an off-the-shelf product - and we tried a number of them!

I am a social worker by training and was clueless about databases - but I was able to create our first Quickbase application with minimal assistance only with the more technical aspects.

We use Quickbase all day long, as do our partners in another country. Data entry, upload, reporting, and collaboration with partners are seamless. It's been tried and true for us!

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Can't think of anything I dislike about Quickbase!

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In 2009, when we found Quickbase, there weren't good database options available for Tour Operators. With one product we had to use the "Smoking No" and "Smoking Yes" boxes to indicate something else entirely. Another was doing regular back ups but oops not of the folder that our data was stored in. Another told us "just because you can enter it doesn't mean you can pull the information into a report". So having the ability to customize from the ground up a database that is specific to us and our operations was a game changer.

We have always been a remote work environment and needed a data management solution that was accessible to people in different areas. With Quickbase our colleagues, whether across the room or down in Costa Rica have real time access to any new or updated information.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> It's great to hear that Quickbase has been a game changer for your remote work environment, providing real-time access to information for colleagues in different locations. Thank you for sharing your experience!

 ### 25. Intuitive, easy to use and update

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I like how flexible Quickbase is when it comes to customizing it to your specific needs. Once your app is built and functional, adding features and options and reports is really easy and is a quick learn. I use it everyday and have rolled it to various teams in my company, and my team loves it cause its easy to see where projects or requests stand at that moment in time.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

You do need to have some degree of coding/development experience to get the Pipelines features to work properly and to get the most out of it. But once you see how it works from the inside, its easy to figure out how to get what you want.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its helping me keep track of all the image requests for my company and for our website. Its helpful to see where specific requests are and all the details, so that if I have questions, I know who to talk to.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Quickbase. We understand the importance of easy customization and are pleased to hear that it has been beneficial for your team.

 ### 26. Very good software for database, dashboard and management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

What I appreciate most about Quickbase is the simplicity and flexibility of the platform. As a user, I don't need to be a programming expert to create individual solutions. Within the first few minutes, you realize how intuitive the user interface is. It allows you to focus on ideas and results instead of wasting time on complex technical details. For a student like me, this is a real advantage: I can test ideas, quickly create prototypes and adapt to different situations without spending hours on it.

Another aspect that I find particularly important is the quality of customer service. Whenever I have had a question or a problem, the Quickbase team has responded very quickly. They respond quickly and their solutions are always accurate and appropriate. This closeness to the users really gives the impression that our experience is important.

But that's not all. What makes Quickbase even more valuable is the way the platform integrates seamlessly with other tools. Quickbase integrates easily with various software packages, simplifying project management and allowing everything to be centralized in one place. The range of features available is impressive: whether it's data management, project tracking or team collaboration, Quickbase has the right solution.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

I find Quickbase a bit frustrating due to the complexity of admin account management, especially when transferring permissions or creations from one user to another. For example, if someone who played a key role in building the platform (administrator or developer) leaves the team or changes positions, it can be difficult to seamlessly transfer their responsibilities to another user.

The process seems a bit rigid and unintuitive, especially for users like me who are not technical experts in administration. I was expecting a simpler solution, such as a “Transfer Permissions” button, which allows you to easily transfer responsibilities without compromising your data or disrupting your app.

This is even more important in organizations where teams change regularly. A more user-friendly, automated approach can really help avoid the difficulties associated with these changes. Although this is not an insurmountable issue, it can be optimized to make the user experience smoother and easier.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBase has become a real pillar of our working methods. The platform has enabled us to simplify and centralize our workflows, completely transforming our project management, data tracking and teamwork. Previously, we had to juggle between different tools that didn't always communicate well, but Quickbase has eliminated this problem by providing us with a single, customizable solution.

I particularly appreciate the ability to create customized applications that meet our specific needs. We no longer have to make do with generic tools that only do half the job. With Quickbase, we have total control, which allows us to remain flexible and develop our solutions at the same pace as our projects.

This flexibility is not limited to customization. Because we no longer have to switch from one software package to another, Quickbase saves us precious time and reduces the risk of human error. Everything is better organized, clearer and, above all, more efficient. What's more, integration with other systems ensures that our processes are consistent, enabling us to concentrate on what really matters: our strategic objectives, not repetitive administrative tasks.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you find Quickbase to be a valuable and intuitive platform for your database and project management needs. Our team is dedicated to providing top-notch customer service and we're glad to hear that you've had positive experiences with our support. We appreciate your feedback on admin account management and will take it into consideration for future improvements. Thank you for choosing Quickbase as your solution for streamlined workflows and project management!

 ### 27. Rough start, but great finish.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase software is extremely powerful and versatile. It is adaptable to many applications and able to be added on to or altered by ordinary users with a little training.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Their development model was pretty rough at first. I was paired with a developer that I really didn’t work well with.
During the last couple months of my contract negotiations was paired with a fantastic team though and they have been knocking it out of the park.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Once developed, it will be digitizing and streamlining our field to invoice process. However, it is taking a very long time.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for your positive feedback on Quickbase software. We apologize for the challenges you've faced with our development services. Your input is valuable to us and we will strive to enhance our development approach.

 ### 28. Scalable and user-friendly with amazing customer service and ample resources

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beth L. | IT Systems Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I've been in IT for 10 years and the extensive resources availble even with the basic package are unparalleled. I find the community to be more helpful than even larger communities like Microsoft where there are more answer that lead you astray.
Moreover, if you get the package with access to engineer hours (goes by a different name), their work and follow-up is amazing and honestly, made me, as the IT Analyst, look good.
They are thorough in their work, respectful of time and send follow-ups to every meeting within hours with the recorded video of the meeting.
If you do not have any engineer hours, you can still go to the 'office hours' and have the ability to ask questions of an engineer without an additional charge and they walk through examples in their sandbox.
As far as usability, it is extremely user-friendly for low-code solutions as well as having the ability to use an API and Jinja to create even more custom solutions.
The AI for creating apps is pretty impressive.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The AI for creating reports is not useful at all. I've tried it a couple times and just tell others not to bother with it. Creating reports is the least user-friendly part. It's a bit clunky and requires more knowledge of tables and fields.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Quickbase to replace all the manual overhead of collecting data by paper forms and adding them to a spreadsheet. This allows much faster collection of data since a lot of the data is collected on the field . Additionally, the permission segregation allows any user or groups of users to see all the reports and data that is only applicable to them so we're more easily able to keep sensitive data on a need-to-know basis.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback on Quickbase! We're thrilled to hear that you find our resources and community support valuable. We appreciate your kind words about our engineer hours service and are glad it has helped enhance your role as an IT Analyst.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the AI for creating reports. Your feedback is important to us, and we will share it with our team to see how we can improve in that area.

It's great to hear how Quickbase has helped streamline your data collection process and improve data security for your team. If you have any further feedback or need assistance, please feel free to reach out. We're here to help!

 ### 29. Keeps Getting More Amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I love the ability to customize reports, homepages, dashboards, and fields! Using very little code, we can make colorful fields to alert users of expired or due items, or alert users in charts to the number of items due. It's really so vary versatile and easy to configure and code! Setting up a new app and creating tables and reports is very easy for just about any level of user. I develope Quickbase apps and provide support to our Quickbase users every day. I have found that it's very satisfying to be able to give them what they need in a short period of time!

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

I don't really dislike anything about Quickbase. If there is an issue with something, or an enhancement needed, providing feedback to the Quickbase team or reaching out to support is just a few clicks away!

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickbase is allowing us to take data from multiple lines of business in our company, organize it, analyze it, and make the data useful for every department. As we grow, we're bringing more departments into the fold to manage their projects and handle their invoicing. It's just making everything more efficient and most importantly trackable!

 ### 30. Fast Development in Minimal Time but Not Perfect

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I love the ability to build applications quickly without needing to develop complex schemas or relationships through SQL or an ORM. The ease of use makes it accessible and efficient for development. My experience with customer support has been mixed—at times, I felt rushed through the process so tickets could be closed quickly, but I’ve also had excellent 1-on-1 support with hands-on guidance that really stood out.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

One major frustration was the transition from Actions and Automations to Pipelines. For a long time, Pipelines felt like a half-baked solution that wasn’t fully complete. Error handling and messaging remain a large pain point, as it’s often unclear what went wrong when something fails. Additionally, Pipelines still feels like an external tool rather than a fully integrated Quickbase feature, almost like a less sophisticated version of Power Automate. Another ongoing limitation is the inability to create variables within the platform, which feels like a missed opportunity.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickbase helps streamline our workflow processes by allowing us to centralize data and automate tasks that were previously manual and time-consuming. It’s particularly effective for managing project timelines, tracking team responsibilities, and ensuring visibility across departments. The flexibility of the platform enables us to quickly adapt applications to meet changing business needs without requiring extensive development resources. This has saved us time, reduced errors, and improved collaboration across our teams.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> We appreciate your positive feedback on the ability to quickly build applications and the efficiency it brings to development. We understand your concerns with the support experience and the frustrations with the transition to Pipelines. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we're committed to addressing these issues to enhance the overall user experience.

I have not used anything new that they implemented because QB tech wouldn't be able to help - they want you to spend more money to get proper tech support

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Same issue tech support is so basic and If I need any help now I rely on AI

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

they are responsive with reaching out quickly - the sytem is automated - i use the email as I am in Mexico

 ### 32. Great overall service with a few quirks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

It's incredibly easy to set up tables and get a proof of concept working quickly. Theres a lot of really nice point and clock options that makes designing tables and processes really easy. Their UI is tasteful and clean, and the ease of creating access roles and their screens is also very simple and easy. They give you a lot of power with some aspects to the site, like allowing java script in formulas and allowing automations to hit an API endpoint (super awesome by the way)

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Theres a lot of weird quirks and things the service can't do. Like it can't do a one to one relationship between tables, that's a super basic thing that it simply can't do. I also don't like that they're trying to abandon certain features to move towards paid versions of those features (i.e. pipelines); then when you need to move to those features their migration tool doesn't work and they expect you to make everything again by scratch. A downside of the point and click creation process is that everything is buried in menus, so you have to memorize where everything is anytime you need to make a change.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this as a data entry tool for some of our departments and it ties in directly to our data warehouse via qunect. We also built a permissions management tool with the necessary approval processes. Also have a hire tracking system implemented for HR to track requirement processes and status

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Quickbase. We're pleased to hear that it has been helpful for your data entry and permissions management needs. We understand your concerns about certain limitations and migration issues, and we'll strive to address these to enhance the user experience.

 ### 33. Intuitive! Makes my life a lot easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Our company has been using Quickbase for a few years now to manage capital expenditures and budgets for our projects. I find the interface extremely intuitive and easy to use. There are a lot of customizable features that allows you to organize and extract the data you need and customer service has been great to incorporate specific features we need to streamline our team's daily tasks. I would definitely recommend this platform for similar use cases.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

There are a few small things I find incovenient about Quickbase, including in certain instances where after I've made and saved changes, it sends me to a different page and opening saved attachments require me to download the file rather than being able to preview it in-screen or in a pop-up window. These are not major issues but things we hope to work with develops to resolve.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Organizing our process documents
- Circulating documents for approval
- Managing project budgets and tracking

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback! We appreciate your input on the areas that could be improved, and we'll definitely take your suggestions into consideration for future updates.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Price is high as i add users. And not idea for complex logic

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in a startip which was building an app for some limited number of users for PMF . So users wanted to get a feel how their app will look like before investing major amount of money in developemnet

 ### 35. Quickbase is easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase is easy to use and the forms are really easy to fill out. I have never had any issued accessing Quickbase or had a need to contact customer support. I use Quickbase daily, multiple times a day and it's always a quick process to fill out a form and submit.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The only thing I don't like about Quickbase is that when I click on an entry field, previous entries would pop up and sometimes I would accidentally click one. This is especially troublesome when it happens after I have already entered the information and then I would have to delete the incorrect information that I accidentally clicked on. It would be good if that would not happen and I can enter the information in the forms a little more quicker.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of the forms that I need access to, are readily available in one application.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Quickbase easy to use and that the forms are user-friendly. We appreciate your feedback about the entry field pop-up and will share it with our product team for consideration.

 ### 36. Easy, Quick, Powerful and constantly Improving

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Venkat A. | Quickbase Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase is easy to use and develop online database applications rather quickly. It has powerful features and is constantly Improving. There is a huge ecosystem around Quickbase with third party solutions and plug ins that are very useful and economic to use.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Developing a custom UI based application is pretty difficult. For example, if you want to capture a signature from a mobile device where users sign with their fingers or a stylus, it is not possible because they haven't considered that as a possibility. But this is a very specific use case, so I am not too worried about it.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been developing and deploying Quickbase applications since 2008. I have solved a myriad number of business use cases and types, ranging from Case Management, Incident Response, Personnel performance tracking, Payroll and time tracking, Agile Methodology of Project Management tools and several more.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Quickbase easy to use and powerful, and we appreciate your feedback about the ecosystem and third-party solutions. We understand your concern about developing custom UI-based applications, and we are constantly working to improve our platform to address specific use cases like capturing signatures from mobile devices.

 ### 37. Great for many use cases - could run more smoothly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I like that my team members that aren't famliar with operating databases are able to easily use custom dashboards and create reports. The similarities to industry standard tools like Microsoft Excel make it easy for non-technical experts to get the information they need.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

It seems that the team is falling into the all-too-common trap of adding AI enabled bells and whistles while some of its basic features fall short. I very basic problem that I CONSISTENTLY have is form fields not pulling information from related tables seamlessly. The automations are also a bit clunky and the UI could be more intuitive. I would suggest prioritizing regression testing and makings existing features better rather than adding features that have fewer use cases.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QB enables us to to connect data structures easily so that we can compartmentalize information proactively for donor reporting.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Quickbase in terms of creating custom dashboards and reports. We understand your frustration with the form fields and automations. Your feedback on prioritizing regression testing and improving existing features is valuable and will be shared with our product development team.

 ### 38. Robust software that we can scale with our growth

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will F. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Standard tables and ease of creation. Ability to customize. Dynamic forms that assist our support staff in detailing procedures while gathering data. We have hundreds of support tickets each day.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Response times to support tickets. Ease of locating clear/ concise product documentation/ job aids.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking incoming support calls and emails from clients

 ### 39. great resourc for small business t harness the power of data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris C. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase is easy to customize to our unique situations.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

A little tricky to program if you're not technically proficient. We overcome this by using a great Quickbase service provider, Trinity.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently using Quickbase to manae 4200 jobsites and up to 150 active projects at any one time. A great resource for our small staff

 ### 40. Quickbase helps me keep track of my projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth K. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I like the look of Quickbase and the ability to adjust fields easily. You don't have to know coding to change field functions once it's been set up. I like how it's easy to see where every job is in the process.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

I don't like that it doesn't integrate into CRM databases and that it's very expensive.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to see at a glance what stage is filling up with projects so I know how to delegate or prepare to handle the influx of stage changes. We also need to track the profit margin for each stage of the job and quickbase allows us to do that.

 ### 41. As a light user, I would recommend

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordon P. | Operations Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

There's seemingly endless customizations so you can construct whatever kind of data and inputs you want.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

It is overwhelming how much there is on the platform. A LOT to learn and not a software that you can jump right into as a new user.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickbase allows all of our external partners to input their own financial data, but each partner's data is confidential only to them. This allows us to have one place where we can track our company financials without everyone being able to see everyone else's stuff. Each partner has their own login and can only see what we allow them access to see.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're glad to hear that you appreciate the extensive customizations available in Quickbase. We understand that the platform may have a steep learning curve, and we're continuously working to improve user onboarding and support resources.

 ### 42. Quickbase is amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Printing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase is a great way for our company to track installs including being able to upload completion photos. We can provide our customers access and they can track the progress of their program as well.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

For me personally, it's just trying to learn the behind the scenes aspect of QB and how it works. I was an attendee at the Empower 2025 to try and learn more about it.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to keep things streamlined and a great way to track project progress.

 ### 43. pretty Good Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheryl D. | Senior Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

As a graphic designer running my own business, Quickbase has been a good tool for organizing client projects and streamlining my workflow. The customization options are a major plus. i can tailor the platform to fit the exact needs of my business without any coding knowledge. This has been invaluable in keeping track of project timelines, client feedback, and design assets all in one place. the automation features have also saved me a lot of time allowing me to focus more on the creative aspects of my work. Overall, it’s been a great addition to my business toolkit

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

While it has a lot to offer, there are a few areas that could be improved especially for a small business owner like me. The initial setup and learning curve were pretty challenging it took me a while to figure out how to make the most of the platform, and I had to invest a fair amount of time into getting everything just right. Another downside is the cost. it can get expensive, particularly if you need access to advanced features or have a growing team. For a small business, this is def something to consider carefully

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it's been a game-changer for managing projects and data. The platform is incredibly flexible, allowing me to create custom apps tailored to my specific needs without needing to know how to code. The ability to automate workflows and integrate with other tools we use daily has streamlined a lot of our processes saving me tons of time. I know how to code but I think it saves me so much more time without having to

 ### 44. I use QuickBase to enter and track production and scrap totals for my company.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Through quickbase I am able to quickly and effectively enter data from our prodution lines and track scrap trends which in return allows me to effectively see and help correct or bring attention to any issues or potentional issues to my quality manager and the production manager.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

I'm not able to completely single out part numbers and scrap specific to just those part numbers. So I am only able to get so detailed in reports.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuickBase is helping identify rotary issues and reasons why scrap totals are high. We are able to effectively see scrap reasons and track the trends of that scrap. So we have been able to see that data and make soild changes to production molds to prevent those scrap reasons in the future. We have recently seen a decrease in scrap due to this.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing what you like about QuickBase. We understand your concern about not being able to single out part numbers and specific scrap, and we appreciate your feedback as we continue to improve our platform.

 ### 45. Quickbase is a tried and true for our company.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordin T. | Corporate office manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I like how customizable the reports are. I can build what I need from the ground up. Its great to also be able to change a report and sample the findings before saving the changes to it. Everyone in the office can have their own log in and access it everyday.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Some of our older reports dont always pull all of the information. It seems some reports have a shelf life on them, then we have to go in and recreate them with the exact same guidelines.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to track different employees work while they are out in the field.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Quickbase's customizable reports and user access. We apologize for the inconvenience with older reports and we'll work on addressing this issue to ensure a smoother experience for you.

 ### 46. A great product that can be a bit intimidating

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David D. | Digitization Team Lead / Technical Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

It's mostly very reliable, quick to update, and being able to build cutom reports saves us a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The scope of the tool leads to an intimidating amount of complexity when building anything new. The way QB structures data is completely different from another other tool I use, so it's really challenging to wrap my head around how things need to be arranged to make useful end products.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us coordinate work across our time, tracking time and progress, and then use the data to generate reports on productivity and for billing purposes. It's a great all-purpose tool.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're pleased to hear that Quickbase has helped you save time and generate useful reports. We recognize that the complexity of the tool can be challenging, and we're committed to providing resources and support to help users navigate it more effectively.

 ### 47. Multifaceted Programming for everyone's needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connie H. | Audit and Compliance Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase has been a tremdous help with our organization's clients needs. We have been able to set up tracking for multiple purposes. We use Quickbase for auditing as well as client management.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

The response time for technical assistance has become much slower. Many responses I have received is "Try this link to help resolve your issue". However, when I get someone engaged in my dilemna the resolution is quickly found.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickbase allows our company to track our client portfolios and take notes on client interaction. We are also now using the program to track account reviews for auditing and compliance purposes.

 ### 48. User friendly

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

I like the interface and ease of navigating. There are a ton of options to create your own reports and gather the data you need from creating simple forms. It is accessible on multiple platforms i.e. desktop, ipad and phones.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

There is a slight learning curve and if you want to get detailed forms that are very dynamic it takes a bit of coding practice in the background. Not a bad thing, just something to note if you are a beginner trying to create an app in Quickbase.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows a visual for us to see all of the projects we are tackling in our department. It is more in depth than a simple excel spreadsheet is and allows you to capture a ton of information. The views can be customized for the ICs and for Senior Leaders.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that there may be a learning curve, especially for more detailed forms, and we appreciate your patience as you navigate the platform.

 ### 49. Great Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bretlyn H. | Evaluation Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Quickbase has really streamlined our data collection process. We keep all our data collection essentials on Quickbase, and it has made my life and everyone else's life a lot easier here. The platform is user-friendly, and the support team is always helpful with any minor problems that come up. The ability to build and customize apps to fit our specific needs is a huge plus. The reports and charts we can generate are very helpful and cut down on my workflow time significantly.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

There are no downsides to Quickbase! Any issue that arises, the staff quickly helps solve

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Quickbase, managing our data collection for grant-funded programs was cumbersome and time-consuming. We had to deal with multiple spreadsheets and manual data entry, which was prone to errors. With Quickbase, we now have a centralized data point for our evaluation team and workers. This has not only improved our data accuracy but also made it easier to generate reports for our semi-annual and potentially quarterly grant reporting. The ability to create detailed and complex apps tailored to our needs has been invaluable. It has also been great to have the support team available for any complex issues that arise, ensuring that our workflow remains smooth and efficient.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> We're delighted to hear that Quickbase has had such a positive impact on your data collection process. It's great to know that our platform has helped improve data accuracy, streamline reporting, and provide valuable support for your team's workflow.

 ### 50. Quickbase has allowed us to expand our client base 10-fold without adding new staff.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ernie N. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Quickbase?**

Flexibility is the best feature, I think. I can import data from multiple sources and tie it all together with relationships and formulas. It's the easiest way to visualize information quickly.

**What do you dislike about Quickbase?**

Cost is probably the biggest dislike. It is cost prohibitive for many companies but at least you get what you pay for. Some of the pricing models are somewhat inflexible as well, though that's been addressed a little recently.

**What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickbase allows us to manage our customers and access their data from anywhere. We're able to manage our workflows and share information amongst team members quickly and in real time.

**Official Response from Jerry Kleva:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Quickbase has helped you expand your client base without adding new staff. The flexibility to import data from multiple sources and tie it all together with relationships and formulas is a key feature that many of our customers appreciate.
