QuarkXPress has a long history. I produced books back in the 90s with it and ... due to some updates in the meantime.. it was possible to re-edit a book with the new QuarkXpress 2021 which we have published last time in 2006. So we saved a lot of money. Otherwise, we would have the efforts to redo all the layout.

It has tons of features that enable you to do every kind of layout with it.

The license policy is very fair. You could use the software on MacOS and Windows (I only use MacOS). You are not forced to have an abonnement but can stay with your license as long as you want to. Which is really good and much cheaper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Due to the tons of features, some of them are not that easy to understand at first, and if you do not use them that often you have to relearn some of the stuff.

I have been using Quark for many, many years. I find it very easy to use, and it performs all of the functions I expect it to. I can work in it quickly and have no problems. I've been using Quark since the mid 90's and have only upgraded a few times. Recently with a new PC I needed to jump from v.9 to 2021. So far really like the current version.
