The organization of the content is a huge help when looking for items in the moment. I also like the ease of the dashboard for determining what to do next. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It would be nice to stay in one area until all issues have been handled. For example, when reviewing documents, I don't want to have to reenter that part of the software each time when trying to review and sign multiple items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to edit and review documents while maintaining documentation versioning. The addition of on-platform reviews for both documents and events mean the platform is relatively easy to implement from a paper-based or MS document-based QMS system. I used Qualio every day as part of my job as the head of QC at a cell therapy company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are two frustrations that I have with the current platform, both of which are not deal breakers but do require work to fix.

(1) In Templates there is no version control making it hard to integrate forms that were previously paper-based into online fillable form. This feature would greatly help for manufacturing batch record generation, and analytical testing report forms among many others.

(2) All documents need to be written in the Qualio text editor which takes a lot of adjustment to learn. Table editing is particularly frustrating and really needs work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Qualio was very easy to figure out when I first started to use the program. The customer support has always been prompt and helpful. I use this program every day and it has a multitude of easy to understand features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the main downsides to qualio is that editing bullets can be difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Qualio sometimes doesn't detect correct answers that have to be written out. So, if the option isn't multiple choice and you do not write the answer exactly as the system expects, you will be marked incorrect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It retains documents and does version tracking. That's really the only positives, and those are both very basic functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Search functions to find documents are SEVERELY lacking, to the point of being practically non-existent. Cannot search by title, or owner, or approver, and the search function that does exist appears to parse the entire document on a keyword match, leading to large volumes of documents that are non-responsive (Except that they might have a single word in the entire document that matches). The search function is so rudimentary as to be practically non-existent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being able to have all your documents, forms, logbooks in one place. Once you learn it is pretty easy to use. My coworkers and I use it on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pros:

Fully validated;

Excellent audit trail;

Streamlines the collaboration process within the organization, especially draft version control;

Excellent search functions for all documents within the organization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Smaller organizations may find the cost per user prohibitive.

Targeted notifications could be better. i.e., if someone requires a specific person to provide input on a document, that notification should show up on that person's dashboard, which it currently does not.

More document templates should be available for MDSAP-specific requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate the events feature that allows us to create and track different events/occurrences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

During the review and approval process, there is no way to accept suggestions or edits without losing all reviewer sign-off time stamps. Additionally, the formatting throughout the document can become messy, as the platform is not as user-friendly as Microsoft Word or Google Docs. Documents sometimes freeze and cannot be edited or commented on when there are multiple reviewers with various comments. I have not experienced this issue with other eQMS programs or editing software. Furthermore, as a basic user, I have access to superseded versions of documents. This should not be the case, though I am unsure if this issue is due to the permissions my company has granted me or if it is a Qualio-specific problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
