That turned out to be a costly mistake. They charged us fees they have been unable to justify, despite repeated requests, and have repeatedly hidden behind vague and unsubstantiated explanations instead of providing evidence. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering Qonto to think twice and look at alternative providers. **What do you dislike about Qonto?** Qonto charged our company €100 without any valid justification. The administration acknowledged its mistake and formally notified Qonto, yet Qonto still refused to reverse the charge. Even after we provided documentary evidence, they failed to explain the basis for the fee and instead relied on vague, inconsistent responses. If a company cannot clearly justify the fees it charges, that’s a serious transparency issue. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding Qonto and choosing a provider that stands behind its decisions with facts, not excuses. **What problems is Qonto solving and how is that benefiting you?** None. I wasted more than four hours dealing with automated, copy-and-paste responses that showed no understanding of the issue. Despite providing clear explanations, they failed to grasp one simple principle: you cannot charge a customer for something that never existed. That level of customer service is simply unacceptable. ### 2. Clean, modern, intuitive. Daily banking operations like transfers, expense tracking and card management are smooth and easy. Onboarding was fast and the app is pleasant to use. As a business owner, I appreciated the simplicity for day-to-day financial management. **What do you dislike about Qonto?** Customer support completely fails when you actually need it. I disputed unauthorized charges from Amazon after my seller account was permanently closed. I responded to every request with proof — screenshots, emails. Qonto repeatedly claimed they never received my replies, despite email being the only channel available. First dispute closed for "no response." Called and told to open a new identical one. Did that — same outcome. The phone explanation? My emails weren't processed because I didn't start with "Hello" followed by the agent's name. Absurd. I had 3 months to dispute. Their circular process burned that window. I lost everything. Formal demand letter via registered mail: zero response. Now with the regulator (ACPR) and mediator. **What problems is Qonto solving and how is that benefiting you?** onto was solving basic business banking needs — expense tracking, payments, card management. It worked well until I needed dispute resolution. At that point, it solved nothing. Instead, their broken process actively caused me financial harm by running out the clock on my legal right to contest unauthorized charges. ### 3. Not only did it take several days to validate this deposit, but even after my company was officially registered—and despite Qonto’s promise to release the capital within three days of receiving the Kbis—my funds are still unavailable five days later. When I call their customer service, as soon as I ask to speak to a manager, they either hang up on me, put me on hold (I waited 45 minutes before giving up), or pretend they can’t hear me anymore. After five days of waiting, when I asked why my capital still wasn’t available, they told me the notary was on vacation—as if that were a valid excuse! I’ve sent multiple emails to Qonto’s support team, but I haven’t received a single response. I still don’t know when the notary will return from vacation—or if they’ll even bother to review my file (assuming they don’t fall ill in the meantime) and finally release my capital. I have no idea when I’ll actually get my money back. In short, if you have an issue with Qonto, don’t expect help—because their call center staff are incompetent, give conflicting information, and refuse any discussion beyond “please be patient.” **What problems is Qonto solving and how is that benefiting you?** None ### 4. They don't address a professional account when you can't process LCR on an account with an automatic debit mandate. This bank is worthless; they don't even know what bills of exchange are. Getting standard documents is like pulling teeth. We've urgently needed documents that Qonto agreed to provide - after that crickets. Support didn't get back to us for days and our inquiries were completely ignored.
