What do you dislike about Qodo?

Sometimes it gives irrelevant output, but this happens only in rare cases. Additionally, the history is not saved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Revolutionized Our Code Review and Test Workflow"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Qodo?

I use Qodo to generate automated unit tests and perform real-time AI code reviews directly within our IDEs during sprint development. I love how accurately it creates meaningful, context-aware unit tests that reflect our specific streaming logic, which is far more useful than generic boilerplate tests. Its inline code suggestions and immediate feedback in the IDE save our developers countless hours of manual testing and debugging during hectic sprint cycles. Qodo's automated unit test generation provides high test coverage across complex streaming logic without slowing down our sprint velocity. Additionally, the real-time IDE feedback effectively catches subtle bugs and edge cases while code is still being written, which helps keep bad commits out of our production pipeline and significantly reduces code review cycles. The setup was seamless with the Qodo extension being installed in VS Code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Qodo?

The generated unit tests occasionally require minor manual tweaking before running cleanly, especially when dealing with complex, highly custom streaming logic. Performance can also lag slightly when analyzing large pull requests or massive monorepos, requiring you to break down context for the best results. Qodo can lag or hit context truncation limits when processing large monorepo pull requests over 800 lines of code. It could be improved by introducing selective sub-directory scoping and incremental diff processing to keep analysis fast and responsive across massive streaming codebases. "Qodo’s AI Reviews and Test Generation Boost Code Quality and Reliability"
5/5
What do you like best about Qodo?

I like that Qodo focuses on improving code quality through AI-powered reviews and test generation. It helps teams catch issues early, reduce bugs, and deliver more reliable software faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Qodo?

The main drawback is that it can take some time to integrate into existing workflows, and AI-generated suggestions still require human review. Improving onboarding and expanding language support would make it even more effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Underwhelming Experience with Limited Features for the Price"
1/5
What do you like best about Qodo?

I liked the auto-generated rules concept in Qodo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Qodo?

I found it disappointing that after 4 months, there was no development in Qodo and there are much better solutions available like Greptile. The analytics are really weak, and the generated rules are unintuitive. There's also a lack of support, customization, and it's unable to connect to repositories for context. The initial setup was not great; it took the wrong email from GitHub and I was never able to change it. Other team members who joined through GitHub faced different issues connecting to the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Almog Lavi of Qodo

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the detailed feedback, and I'm sorry the experience fell short.

A few of the things you raised have been addressed in our most recent release. Cross-repo review is live, so reviews pull context across multiple repositories instead of one. You can read about it in our docs - https://docs.qodo.ai/governance/cross-repo-code-review.

On the rules feeling unintuitive, our new Rules Miner automatically generates them from your existing codebase and past PR discussions, so they reflect how your team actually works rather than something you have to decipher. Read more here - https://docs.qodo.ai/governance/rule-enforcement/rule-miner . False-positive feedback now feeds back into the system too, refining future reviews and cutting down repeat noise.

The onboarding problems, the wrong GitHub email with no way to change it, and your teammates' connection issues, shouldn't have happened. I'd like to get those fixed for you.

If you're open to it, reach us at support@qodo.ai or reply here and I'll connect you with our team directly to sort the setup and walk through what's new.

Thanks again for the honest review.
